Pros
The website layout is very interactive and easy to use. It's affordable and genuinely pleasant to use. I run payroll every other Friday, and their onboarding process is outstanding, they handle everything from automatically emailing new hires to filing all required reports. After dealing with other payroll providers that were confusing and error-prone, I've grown to trust It completely. They consistently produce accurate, dependable results.
Cons
I am on the basic tier and email support can be rather slow at times . instead of waiting, I often call because picking up the phone usually gets me assistance immediately.

I am genuinely impressed by how the support setup hits the sweet spot between empowering me to do things myself and stepping in when I need help. The DIY tools are very user-friendly . there's a pleasant, checkbox-style simplicity and clear prompts that walk me through each step. On the occasions I require one-on-one help, the customer support staff are outstanding, responding quickly and resolving issues effectively. That combination makes me feel capable of handling HR responsibilities smoothly without feeling swamped or anxious.
Cons
As a solo business owner, it's hard for me to come up with complaints . the product really covers every one of my needs quite well.

“Complete game-changer for payroll
Pros
Gusto's payroll platform has totally changed the way I process monthly payroll, tasks that once ate up hours now take me about a minute. Letting my CPA log in directly has been a game-changer, it makes preparing taxes so much easier and less nerve-wracking for me.
Cons
I realize I probably subscribe to some features I never use but even with that, it's still significantly less expensive than what I paid my previous provider.

“easy peasy and user friendly tool
Pros
Managing benefits for my family and myself has become so much simpler with It. The gentle yearly reminders to renew benefits are really helpful and keep me on track.
Cons
I wish the time tracking offered more granular details. I would love to see breakdowns for vacation, sick days and other time off categories. Currently, you can only view positive and negative time adjustments without knowing what they're actually allocated for.

“Good features with bad support
Pros
I like that It keeps everything centralized, it's something I genuinely value. Navigation is generally simple, although I hit the occasional hiccup. What really stands out is the automatic handling of filing and local tax payments, it removes a massive amount of stress for me. The contractor payment tools work well and the automatic 1099s created from those payments are very handy.
Cons
Dealing with customer support is frustrating, half the time it feels like I'm talking to a brick wall. They do offer integrations, but only if we're prepared to pay almost double and accept a bunch of extra, unnecessary features just to get payroll to sync with our accounting system. That's a big factor in why we're moving providers. Also the benefits group tends to procrastinate until the eleventh hour, then everything becomes urgent and we're forced to scramble or risk missing important deadlines.

Getting It up and running was surprisingly easy and the interface felt interactive right away. It guides you through the setup with clear, step-by-step instructions, so even though I'm relatively new to payroll management I could follow along without any confusion. With payroll, benefits and HR all consolidated in one place, I've been able to simplify my business processes and eliminate the headache of switching between multiple systems.
Cons
The single drawback I've experienced is that I didn't allocate enough time to thoroughly explore all the features that are available.

It is very easy to use for running my small business. The landing page is inviting and neatly laid out and that warm, approachable feel makes everything seem much less daunting. I never got the opportunity to try the product because they never actually scheduled the demo they promised me.
Cons
their sales process was chaotic. I completed two separate forms and replied to their follow-up email with more details, but after trying multiple times to get in touch, they simply disappeared. When I finally rang them, they told me my information had been misplaced and promised a demo that never showed up. For a company that seems to have a strong reputation, this way of treating prospective customers is really frustrating and left me feeling quite let down.

Handling payroll is very easy with It and I can run everything without a hitch. Whenever I need tax-side fixes, their support team gets back to me fast and sorts out the issue with no fuss. Their rates undercut the bigger, more established payroll providers and I appreciate that there aren't surprise charges for basic functions other companies bill extra for. It's ideal for a small business like mine and I really value being able to grant my accountant direct access to tax documents . it saves me from scrambling to find papers during tax season.
