Payroll summary emails get sent out as soon as everything is processed which makes keeping up with changes really convenient.

Cons

Locating the right report can be a bit tricky unless you're using it on a regular basis.

I think the layout is very interactive and very simple to move through. The design feels instinctive and doesn't demand much of a training.

So far I haven't used it long enough to uncover any real problems, though I expect they will show up over time.

What I've noticed is that it pays every employee on time as long as our side finishes everything by the deadline.

The dashboard layout feels clean and the support team has been responsive whenever we've needed help. Payroll processing has honestly been so easy to manage and our employees really like the early direct deposit that comes with using the Gusto Cash Account.

Cash Account APY could be more competitive compared to what some alternatives offer.

Honestly there isn't much positive to say.. at best it feels pretty similar to a lot of other options out there.

“Easy but with small swap bumps”

The interface is very user-friendly and really easy to find my way around. After working with ADP and UKG, I noticed this one was far simpler to learn than those systems. Our payroll support representative explained things clearly and was a huge help through every step. The integration process went off without major problems. Since we rolled the new platform out, staff adapted quickly and it has proven to be an excellent fit for what our company needs.

Cons

Customer service is great when they stick to their usual playbook but if my problem doesn't fit that script, I basically get left on my own. During our switch some of our data didn't migrate correctly, we lost phone numbers and work email addresses. It wasn't catastrophic, but I still think it's worth being aware of before you make the move.

“Affordable tool”

Pros

Pricing is a big plus for me. Being able to pay my full-time employees and contractors from one place saves a ton of time. I also appreciate that there are plenty of small-business options if you're not sure what you're supposed to have set up. Also, they'll help you set up the tax information alongside you which makes the whole process feel a lot more manageable.

Cons

One thing I don't like is that some tiers don't allow same day payments.

the email support team replies promptly and truly tackles the questions I raise. I also like that so many things are consolidated, performance reviews, healthcare benefits and a range of other tools all housed in a single spot.

Cons

The price is certainly on the higher side, though I can't deny that for what you get, the expense feels warranted.

Setup and day-to-day use are really simple. Having access to the online portal lets me quickly view and print my paycheck stubs whenever I need them.

Haven't run into any real downsides with it so far.

Pros

Runs really smoothly for both employees and payroll processing. I can jump around to manage my benefits, check my paycheck history, update direct deposit info and review my performance. It also helps keep tabs on team expenses for the month and quarter. Compared with a few older payroll providers, everything feels far less complicated. Even though our payroll needs aren't overly complex, we haven't run into any real problems with the setup so far.

Cons

Deposit timing is the one recurring complaint... sometimes direct deposits don't land until later that afternoon, instead of the previous day or even the morning of payday.

Super simple to use and having several products all in one place is really convenient. It's nice not to have to bounce between different tools just to handle everything.

Adjusting payroll settings wasn't as simple as I expected and the pricing felt higher compared to local competitors.

Pros

One thing I really enjoy is that it organizes payroll management. I'm able to pay team members within minutes using just a few clicks and it automatically handles taxes too which has saved me a ton of time. I also like that benefits and vacation days are tracked and shown in one place so it's easy to see everything at a glance.

Cons

A downside I've noticed is that some of the reports can be a little tricky to customize. Adding certain features can also feel confusing at first especially while you're still getting used to the setup.

Gusto makes payroll far easier to handle and my team finds it just as valuable for bookkeeping tasks. I love how easily it connects with our accounting system . it's a real time-saver.

I haven't faced any major problems so far. It would be helpful, though, if there were a phone support line for my clients who manage payroll themselves, they sometimes prefer speaking directly to someone when questions come up.

Over the years I've relied on this and watched it get steadily better. The layout is super interactive which makes running payroll far less of a headache. I'd absolutely recommend it to others!

Right now I can't really name anything that bothers me. Because I'm still getting to grips with the rest of the functionality, I don't have any concrete complaints or flaws to point out yet.

It feels really versatile... it works as a central place for both documents and hours tracking.

There are two things I wish were smoother, quick access can time out and the app sometimes takes a long time to load a new screen (about 15+ seconds at times). Also, a few workflow quirks make logging time less convenient, like not being able to move the clock out time to a future moment and needing to add a note before you can save a shift. That might fit certain companies but it would be better if those rules were more customizable.

Using it has been pretty simple and everything feels well organized. It also includes a bunch of useful features that really simplify the whole process... whether you're filing taxes, handling payments or managing other related tasks.

On the mobile app, I often can't access admin functions and it's really frustrating when I have to manage things while I'm out and about.
