Pros

App is really handy for clocking in at work. The time tracking has been spot-on and it also lets my supervisor handle any corrections when needed.

Cons

Lunch tracking takes a bit more effort since I have to set an alarm to remember. I also end up adding multiple reminders to make sure I clock in and out for lunch.

Pros

Feels pretty simple to get up and running and the payroll tools are simple to use. It's also one of the more affordable options out there for small businesses which made it an easy fit for us.

Cons

We did run into some friction getting it fully integrated with the timekeeping system we wanted to use. Also, user roles and permissions can't be tailored beyond a limited set of pre-configured options though those presets ended up working well enough for what we needed.

Pros

Was genuinely a hit for our team. The layout felt simple and it was quick to locate the right sections and move around the site. Tracking down time sheets and pulling end-of-year documents turned out to be really simple which saved a lot of time during busy periods.

Cons

No real downsides showed up for us. Everyone seemed to enjoy the features. The only note is that it looks like timesheets and scheduling weren't available a few years back but that isn't an issue with what we're using now.

Pros

We've really enjoyed how simple this product is to use. It's been the best payroll service we've tried in years. Processing payroll online, plus integrating it with our scheduling tool, saves us a ton of time.

Cons

I didnt come across very many downsides. One improvement I'd love is stronger PTO tracking in the package especially the option to select specific days employees are off.

“Reliable software”

Pros

Payroll deposits are consistently on time and paychecks land exactly when they're scheduled. That's the basic requirement but it's still something worth crediting. Direct deposit often shows up early too... sometimes up to two days ahead... which is genuinely helpful rather than just a marketing claim. The app itself is clean and simple and it's easy to locate things like pay stubs, tax documents and transaction history. Everything reads clearly without feeling cluttered and there aren't any hidden fees. I also haven't run into monthly maintenance charges or surprise deductions quietly pulling money away. The pay breakdowns are transparent, with earnings, deductions and year-to-date totals presented in a way that's easy to follow.

Cons

There's a pretty clear limit to what you can do beyond basic payroll checking. It's not a full-service bank so you don't get things like joint accounts, efficient bill pay or many extra services. Support seems more geared toward employers than individual employees so when an employee has an issue, the turnaround can feel slower than it should. Cash deposits aren't convenient either so it's not the best fit if you still deal with physical cash regularly. Customization options are also limited... alerts and budgeting/spending controls are fairly basic compared to what some other financial apps offer.

Pros

It has been really simple to use and it's the most affordable option I've found for running payroll for my business. I was able to handle my company's payroll on my own without running into any problems and whenever I needed help, the support team was there.

Cons

A few of the reporting tools can feel a bit tricky. Getting reports for individual employees across different metrics doesn't always come out the way I expect and while it's doable, the process isn't very direct.

Pros

The tool still feels simple to use and the automated tax filing is a big win. I also really like how well it integrates with other accounting apps which makes the whole workflow much more connected.

Cons

Base pricing seems fair but the extra features cost a lot and a number of add-ons feel like they're required rather than optional. Also, the mobile app doesn't hold up as well as the website.

It's great that it brings more flexibility for small businesses, with options like health insurance, retirement plans and contractor-only setups.

Cons

Only part I'd flag right now is contractor, only pricing... it's charged per person per month. With some other providers, the charge works per pay period with a minimum number of checks and then additional time in the month is free so the pricing structure feels less favorable in comparison.

Pros

Gusto has state labor law posters and keeps them updated for each state which comes in handy when you're running payroll for a nationwide company.

Cons

Tends to go offline during the middle of the work day and that's really frustrating, on top of delaying what you need to do, it also adds a ton of stress.

Pros

This has been really convenient for tracking my hours, requesting time off and keeping tabs on pay. I can jump back to my first paycheck whenever I need to verify something and the time-off requests show my balances right away.

Cons

Something that gets annoying is that it makes me add a note every time I clock in and it doesn't show it for my coworkers. I end up typing "on site" every morning since I'm not sure what else I'm supposed to enter.

It has been a solid platform for running payroll for small to mid-sized businesses. I've consistently felt confident that employees are paid on time, taxes get filed properly and the reporting comes out complete and accurate. The pricing also hits the sweet spot especially since it takes a big chunk of payroll reporting work off business owners' shoulders.

Cons

That said, the benefits management side stumbled in a noticeable way which honestly left a sour feeling about that part of the service.

Setup felt simple and the user-facing design looks really solid for both admins and employees. It also turned out to be a cost-effective option for the company.

Cons

Platform doesn't offer a lot of advanced features or built-in integrations so it could be simpler for teams that need more connectivity.

Only real downside I noticed was customer support.. especially that there wasn't much availability or help on weekends.

No real conflicts or issues so far. The only thing I'd change is the pricing, it feels a bit high if you're working with a smaller employee count.

Report customization is pretty limited, including things like special deduction/earning codes which gets tricky for a more complex organization like ours.

Really organizes a business owner's workload by handling a lot of the basics in one place. It takes care of monthly payroll forms, separates taxes according to each employee's individual settings and also provides the annual tax forms.

Cons

Costs can climb quickly once you add more employees and a few employees have mentioned that adjusting/customizing their withholding settings isn't always simple.

Pros

Using it through my employer for clocking hours and billing labor has been pretty simple. The setup felt simple and it's nice having full visibility into everything... like the hours I've accrued and my break time so there aren't any surprises when payroll comes around.

Cons

One thing I didn't love was that our third-party accountant was located in India and would sometimes call at odd hours to double-check my logged time before submitting payroll. I can't tell whether that was strictly my employer's process or something that typically comes with service so it may not be their fault.

Quite an affordable option. Whenever we needed help, their customer support team was there and responsive. The platform was simple to use as long as everyone stayed within one department and employees could easily access paystubs and handle their own direct deposit details.

Cons

Integration wasn't as smooth as hoped.. it didn't sync reliably with our QuickBooks GL reporting. Pulling specific info could be a bit frustrating at times especially when we were trying to review or calculate PTO accruals.

Ive used it as company team member for getting payroll and it has been simple and genuinely easy. The whole payroll receipt process felt relatively simple to go through, without a lot of extra steps.

Cons

It's missing some of the more solid, feature-rich options that show up in other payroll platforms especially those bundled with broader HR tools.
