“It keeps payroll and taxes together”

Pros

I've really liked how everything stays in one place inside it. Tax details, employee information, direct deposit and even documents are all managed within the platform so there's no need to bounce between separate apps. Coming from setups that used multiple tools, this has felt a lot simpler and more organized.

Cons

Honestly I can't think of anything I dislike about Gusto. We haven't run into any problems so far.

Pros

Worked well for our staff's time tracking and the online employee portal was a solid touch for letting employees view their payroll info anytime. Setup and day-to-day use felt simple enough that employees could get on with using it.

Cons

Didn't work out for our pay schedule especially for hourly employees who need to be paid twice a month. It turned into a mess for us and we ultimately had to move back to QB Time and QBO Payroll. Our accounting firm suggested it so we switched but we're really relieved we went back to the QB setup.

We use this as a really efficient tool for human resource management. The standout part for me is the user-friendly interface... everything feels simple when setting up and managing HR tasks.

Cons

It would be even more useful if it had deeper integration with other applications.

Overall, the UX design feels pretty solid. In this product category, the usability bar is basically that it works and it does. With a bit of momentum, most tasks end up being simple and pretty quick, mostly just a few natural mouse clicks.

Cons

When I need a report that matches my exact specs, I end up producing extra data I don't actually need just to reach the exact dataset I'm after. It would be a lot more convenient if there were an option to choose the specific data points that get included in the report.

Pros

I really enjoy being able to view all my check stubs and benefits in one place. Everything is organized together so it's quick to find what I need without hopping between screens.

Cons

Calculating pay for part-time employees is tricky. The system treats people as full-time when they're marked as salaried so the hourly rate ends up being inaccurate.

Pros

Interface is pretty simple and it actually helps me stay on top of my PTO and sick time without having to do mental math or spreadsheets.

Cons

Customer support could be better. Also, they repeatedly try to push add-on products through partner offers which gets a bit annoying after a while.

Gusto is an excellent app for payroll personnel management and tracking making it a top choice for businessmen.

While there arent any major negatives in the application it could benefit from regular updates.

Pros

Gusto has been fantastic for tracking my paycheck. Its easy to set up track hours and adjust settings as needed. The customer support is also helpful.

Cons

I wish I could specify a percentage amount for tax withholding per paycheck instead of a specific dollar amount. Despite that Gusto makes it easy to make changes.

Gustos ease of use for time tracking and the online portal for viewing payroll information were appreciated by our employees.

Gusto couldnt handle payroll for hourly employees twice a month leading to a disastrous experience. We switched back to QB Time and QBO Payroll.

The costs are really competitive compared to what I've researched and I find it pretty simple to use for handling our small business payroll. The service quality has been solid and it's definitely cost-effective for what we need.

Running custom reports is pretty frustrating since the options are so limited. I end up having to generate way more data than I actually need just to get the specific information I'm looking for. The pre-made reports work fine but when I try to create something tailored to my business needs, the customization choices just aren't there. It Would be great if there was a fully customizable section where I could pick exactly what information I want included.

This tool has been genuinely simple to use. It's one of the most user-friendly options I've come across for the HE features and the pricing feels pretty affordable too.

Compared to my previous tools, this one is a big step up. The steel quality and overall service have also been excellent.
