Dealing with Gustos customer service regarding payroll has been problematic. There have been instances of delayed payments to employees sometimes up to four days after the scheduled payroll.

Looks like a solid fit for a brand new startup. It covers the basics well enough to get things moving though once you start scaling up, it seems like it can cap how far you can go in terms of reach and overall growth.

Customer Support feels underprepared for unusual or special scenarios. Also, the tax calculations don't match Indian taxation rules which is a big problem if you're operating in India.

Feels pretty simple to work with and the interface is simple enough that I'm not wrestling with it. The colorful images that organize everything by category are a nice touch and I also appreciate the real time updates showing where my funds stand.

Cons

One thing that's been annoying is how often I get logged out of the software. Also, there seems to be frequent downtime for maintenance or updates which interrupts things when I'm trying to use it.

I'm really enjoying the new features on the updated app. It feels like a big upgrade and it clearly shows that it has a lot to offer for its clients.

At one point, my information got wiped. I'm not sure why it happened maybe something I did but I ended up having to type everything back in all over again

Human resource tasks are no longer stressful since using it. The workflow feels much more organized and handling HR responsibilities is simple compared to how it used to be.

Everything runs smoothly but the pricing is a bit steep cost wise it feels too much.

I used this software while handling bookkeeping for clients especially when I needed to do payroll adjustments. The interface felt very simple and the whole adjustment process ended up being much easier and faster than what I was used to. I also appreciated that the key statements required for the work were simple to locate everything I needed was easy to find without extra digging.

Cons

Reporting could use some upgrades. The reports available are pretty limited in scope and there isn't much room for customization. I also noticed customer support sometimes takes a while to respond and it would be great to have more self service tools for things like account settings and configuration options.

The paycheck splitter, notifications and quick access to tax forms make this software feel really approachable. I've had several contract employees pick it up without trouble and they consistently get the reminders they need about payroll even when I'm not directly helping them.

Cons

A couple of former employees have struggled to pull their tax information after they leave our non profit. More than once, they've contacted me personally and we've had to involve our accountant just to track everything down. It would be better if there were a defined window after employment ends where former employees can still access their tax forms without needing support from current staff.

Cuts down the hectic work for the HR team by helping them gather employee information and store it in an online database instead of doing it manually. The interface feels decent and interactive, letting employees finish onboarding tasks quickly and with less back and forth. It also lightens the Admin team's workload by reducing the manual effort involved in managing the company's salary flow.

Cons

Occasionally, there are errors when uploading onboarding documents. The browser cache sometimes needs to be cleared every time to get things working properly.

Gusto is HR in a box it covers everything in one place for HR, payroll and employee benefits. The service also comes with solid support from seasoned HR professionals who are available whenever questions come up.

Cons

We kicked off with it when we were a small team with basically no knowledge of employee management. Still, it handled hiring new employees, setting up payroll and getting employee benefits in motion in a way that felt as simple as possible. It's basically like having an in house HR team made up of real HR pros. Really enjoying it and there are no complaints from my side.

The tool feels like a really strong HR app well laid out and built around the stuff you actually need to handle HR responsibilities. Navigation is simple and it's easy to find what you're looking for without getting bombarded by tons of extra features or overwhelming data. Compared to tools like Rippling which I've run into feeling buggy and cluttered, it keeps things much cleaner and simpler. It covers the full range from payroll to employee management and compliance so it's all in one place.

Cons

Interface occasionally feels a bit slow though it's clearly improved over time. Aside from that, there's not much I'd complain about.

Using it has been really good for me, mainly because the reports are customizable and the employee records are detailed and flexible. It also includes tax forms you can submit directly for your business which makes everything feel more organized.

No complaints here overall my experience has been fantastic. Whenever I had questions, the Gusto team was very supportive and responsive.

Over time, the pricing started creeping up for pretty much everything and a few of the best amenities were removed.
