“Fast replies and tax updates”
Pros
Once I got started with it and connected all the services, I noticed how quickly they respond and how complete the information is when they do. It felt like I chose the right company to keep me updated and help me stay compliant with Goods and Services Tax (GST) for the related products and services.
Cons
Nothing major comes to mind as a serious issue but there has been some confusion around multiple withdrawals for employees and how their taxes are handled overall.

“We rely on it”
Pros
Adding another direct deposit account from the employee portal is simple and you can split your paycheck across multiple accounts without any hassle.
Cons
Pay notification emails start with an annoying, overly cheesy GIF at the top. It might be mildly entertaining for a moment but it ends up feeling more distracting than helpful and comes off as too flashy.

“I recommend it”
Pros
We moved over from a different payroll provider to Gusto and I was pretty pressed for time to get everything switched. its onboarding ended up being surprisingly simple so the transition didn't drag on.
Cons
The platform doesn't include strong document storage features so if you're expecting a full document repository, you may feel a bit limited.

“convenient to use”
Pros
Bringing new employees on board feels smooth. The reminders are genuinely useful for keeping track of what's pending and what's due so the whole team stays focused on hitting our goals. Payroll runs quickly and accurately and I can handle it from any device, my laptop or smartphone. Also, the support team has been excellent whenever I need help.
Cons
There aren't any real dislikes here. Everything has felt smooth and it has gone beyond my expectations.

“Great hiring tools”
Pros
It comes packed with plenty of helpful features. I especially like being able to run payroll, hire someone new, update wage details or dismiss an employee from wherever I am just by logging into my account on my phone or computer. It also sends reminder emails when payroll is due or when a new hire hasn't finished onboarding yet. The tax information is written in a way that's simple and easy to follow. My team members appreciate having their own individual accounts too, they can update their bank info, review documents and access other useful resources. Direct deposit has been a huge time-saver for both the company and the employees.
Cons
Getting set up and integrating with it felt pretty simple. Support is the only thing that occasionally falls short... sometimes it's hard to reach a real person though we haven't needed help very often.

“onboarding feels effortless”
Pros
Using it day to day is simple, it really makes payroll and onboarding employees a breeze. Customer support was once top tier, then it slipped for a bit but it looks like things have improved again and service has come back strong.
Cons
One feature gap for me is that scheduling and time tracking aren't included so I end up using a separate tool and doing an integration instead of keeping everything in one place.

“Part-Time Employee of 9 Months”
Pros
In my nine months using Gusto since starting my job in November, I've been pleasantly surprised by how simple it is to report hours and receive payments. The Gusto wallet, with its separate card and connected savings account, sets it apart from other services I've used.
Cons
My job allows rounding up by 15 minutes, but I can't report it when leaving due to the inability to log future hours. It would be great to disable this for small increments like that.

“Gusto helps us help employees”
Pros
Gusto simplifies management for both 1099 and W2 employees, allowing easy input of hours and administration of accounts.
Cons
I wish 1099 employees had access to the app; their lack of access makes them feel marginalized and forces them to log in online to track their time.

“affordable payroll processing”
Pros
Processing payroll feels simple and it keeps everything organized for both W-2 and 1099 filings. That makes income tax reporting much less of a headache especially when you're trying to stay on top of employee paperwork. Also, it's really affordable for a small business.
Cons
There's genuinely nothing I dislike about the payroll software. It organizes payroll so my day-to-day work is quicker and when questions come up, customer support steps in to help you solve issues or figure out anything you're unsure about.

“Great software and ease of payroll”
Pros
It's refreshing to find such simplicity and efficiency in the modern digital age.

“awesome 1099 and W2 time tracking”
Pros
It has made it really simple for us to manage both 1099 and W2 employees in the same organization. 1099 workers can quickly enter their hours and add notes and W2 employees can easily handle their accounts through the system.
Cons
Wish 1099 employees had access to the app. Not having that access makes them feel a bit overlooked and it also means they have to log in online just to keep track of their time.
