“Recommended from me”
Pros
Employees can handle charitable donations, savings accounts, spending accounts, direct deposits, time-off requests and more straight from their account. it also supports splitting money into multiple savings accounts (either accounts created inside it or separate bank accounts)so it's simple to edit those splits when needed. You can manage a spending account and use the included debit card, too. I've set up a rainy day fund, a Christmas fund and my charitable giving/tithing, all within the app. Transfers are simple and paystubs are easy to access which makes everything feel well organized.
Cons
Haven't come across anything I dislike. As an employee, I really love it.

“organized our payroll”
Pros
Using it has been pretty simple, once the employee and pay details are correct, you can kick off payroll right away. The platform handles the heavy lifting, including payroll taxes, unemployment requirements and all the necessary filings so the workflow stays pretty low effort on our end.
Cons
Customer support is a bit dated. To reach someone, you have to submit a ticket and ask for a callback. They previously had a phone number you could use to talk with a rep and it would still be much better when questions pop up in the moment to just call and get an answer.

“Great support”
Pros
Entering bi weekly payroll is simple, onboarding employees doesn't feel like a chore and the customer support has been genuinely strong.
Cons
Every so often there's a request to re-verify the same bank account info which gets annoying.. especially since we've been using that account consistently and you never know when the verification prompt will pop up. It would be better if the verification only happened quarterly so it's predictable and can be planned in advance.

“easy setup payroll”
Pros
Simple to use and quick to set up for running payroll. If you're just getting started with paying employees, it's a solid option that handles the basics well.
Cons
Doesn't seem to fully account for every applicable law or catch everything automatically. I expected a payroll provider to proactively remind me about upcoming federal and state changes but that isn't built into their process so I end up having to do that myself.

Pros
Gusto's ease of use, along with its customization for each state, ensures proper form completion for new employees.
Cons
I needed to change a field for an account number, and while the help function didn't work, the chat function quickly resolved the issue. However, finding the chat and contact function was challenging.

“all-in-one payroll and tax care”
Pros
Payroll processing feels a lot simpler. It basically handles the whole setup end-to-end so there's no need to sweat over things like year-end taxes, payroll taxes and compliance. That means I can relax, confident that the important payroll pieces are being taken care of so I don't have to chase down future issues.
Cons
Honestly there isn't anything I like least, everything works well and I'm really satisfied.
