From the perspective of using it day to day, it feels genuinely simple for everyone and both the web and app versions are very simple.

The end-of-year taxes can get confusing sometimes especially around whether the system is tied to calendar dates or actual pay dates.

This is a really strong fit for a nonprofit. It removes a lot of the stress of scrambling to figure everything out or paying someone to handle it for you.

It's not quite as personal as handing out a check each month though our employees seem to prefer it this way.

Using it, adding new employees to the payroll is simple. During setup, it shows a clear checklist of the steps/stages that need to be completed which keeps everything organized. Payroll can be automated and it also sends reminder prompts before each payroll run in case any tweaks are needed. Also, it provides state specific documentation requirements for each employee during onboarding so nothing gets missed.
