“easy to use”
Pros
Gusto is a payment platform that's simple to use. The layout is simple and the steps are pretty clear which makes it quick to understand what's going on. When it comes time for taxes, it's also easy to find the relevant information without digging through everything.
Cons
One thing I've noticed is that deposits can take longer than expected after you initiate a payment.... there's a longer turnaround from starting the transfer to when the money lands in the employee's account. Also, if you're paying once a month, the employer apparently has to enter everything about two weeks ahead of payday to make sure it processes on time.

“fast secure payouts”
Pros
The perks are genuinely useful and the team handles everything for you. Getting paid has never been an issue... payments come in quickly and they feel secure. The dashboard layout is also well organized so it's simple to locate my contracts.
Cons
Honestly there's nothing major to complain about. I mainly use it to receive payments from multiple clients as a freelancer. If anything, it would be great if there were an option to import contracts from companies that aren't using the software.

“all-in-one payroll tool”
Pros
I really like that it's a full all-around platform. With it, we can manage payroll, onboarding, time sheets and HR support all in one place. The interface feels simple and it's genuinely simple to use. As an employee, I also enjoy having quick access to my pay stubs, along with PTO and sick time tracking.
Cons
Nothing stands out as a downside for how I use it. The only thing I've heard is that it may be a bit pricey for smaller businesses.

“a reliable tool”
Pros
It's turned out to be a dependable payroll tool for handling both contractors and employees. The interface feels well-designed and simple to work with which makes daily payroll tasks much simpler. Between the different features it offers, it's been a solid payment platform for my needs. Also, onboarding new employees has been smooth... setting them up in the payroll system doesn't take long once you're using this software.
Cons
In my experience, nothing major came up since I started using it and there haven't been any real negative issues or complaints so I don't have any cons to report.

“works so well”
Pros
The integration between Gusto and other tools like Connecteam is genuinely smooth and it makes running our payroll every two weeks feel simple.
Cons
Updating personal details is a bit annoying.. especially addresses. I wanted to update my address so money could be pulled from savings right away but it took a couple business days instead. The system flagged that the address on file didn't match the address on my card and it still wouldn't let me change the address on file.

“easy to use”
Pros
Love how simple it is now to track my upcoming pay and split my paychecks and I appreciate the way it also shows estimated taxes. That extra detail makes me feel like I'm being handled properly, not guessing what's coming out.
Cons
One thing I'll mention, even though the software works really well, I often receive emails and notifications hours after the payment has already gone through. It becomes more of a nuisance so I keep my notifications turned off.

“horrible support”
Pros
User interface feels fairly friendly and logical. It also separates employees from contractors which can support payroll automation.
Cons
Regret using this company.. everything seems centered on their fees. Customer service was rough and their software team messed up my Paid Time Off, then blamed me without any real proof (they essentially said the proof is because they say so). They also ignored my employee termination date twice which cost me unrecoverable funds.

“early pay benefit, then failures”
Pros
Getting paid early through the Gotal app and its savings account is a real plus and has been helpful for managing cash flow. That said, the value drops fast when the feature doesn't go through as expected.
Cons
There were a few times when the app failed and payroll had to be sent by wire to clients' accounts instead. That workaround also meant we had to cover reimbursement for wire transfer fees which added an extra cost on top of the disruption.

Pros
The email updates keep me in the loop, so I don't have to keep asking my employer for status updates. Plus, the profile feature makes it really easy to update my info.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. The platform does exactly what it promises. great product.

“Caused a major crisis for our company”
Pros
It has a much better interface than QuickBooks and is even working on integrating a hiring module, which makes filling out an online application simple.
Cons
It missed one of our paydays. They withdrew the funds but the deposits didn't show up the next day as promised. That really affected the trust of our 45 employees. I spent hours trying to get a resolution with support but there was no human support after 7pm CsT. also, the interface is outdated. every time I try to view a list, I have to change the records per page to 50 or 100. It doesn't save that setting. Plus, you can't assign employees to multiple departments within the same location. and the alerts on the home screen just won't go away easily. The hiring module also has no way to manage one applicant applying for multiple jobs and it treats them as separate records.

“makes onboarding easy”
Pros
They've really hit the sweet spot with this platform. Payroll and onboarding are simple and intuitive, without overcomplicating things. It's a breath of fresh air!
Cons
Though the simplicity makes things easier it comes with some limitations. I noticed there isn't much customization available.

“made for small businesses”
Pros
The system is super easy to use. From a user's perspective, the simple UI makes navigation really interactive plus the mobile app provides an equally smooth experience.
Cons
The time editing process is a bit confusing. When I try to save edited time with a note, hitting "enter" doesn't save the update and it actually closes the window. most apps would let you submit by pressing "enter," but not this one.

“Wonderful tool for managing payroll”
Pros
I love how easy it is to use. I've never run into bugs and I never have to wait for my tax documents. everything like paystubs, is right there in one place.
Cons
I think the lack of info on pay stubs is more of an issue from the company I worked for, not really gusto.
