The stats seem really accurate and that part genuinely helped me a lot... it's been pretty useful overall.

Cons

App's design doesn't feel that great to me and it would really benefit from a renovation or a more modern look.

Pros

This product made onboarding feel genuinely easy and smooth. The "click and go" setup let our team get started without a bunch of back-and-forth.

We previously ran into some trouble integrating it with our existing system which caused delays.

Using this has been surprisingly simple, I don't need to be a payroll expert to get things set up and handled. it also includes helpful employee onboarding support, gives you flexibility with payroll and makes it simple to manage employee paychecks. The overall interface feels very user-friendly and the mobile access is a big plus for staying on top of things.

Cons

One downside is performance, the software can run slowly and there's noticeable time spent loading screens.

I really enjoy the range of options you get since it lets you grab everything you need in one spot instead of juggling multiple places.

Gusto feels like a dream to work with. The interface is simple, navigation is simple and it's easy to find the important stuff fast. Pulling payroll data is quick and W2s can be generated and synced automatically with the tax filing software you use.

Cons

Every so often, there are small bugs in the benefits selection flow but they've been minor and usually make sense once you're in. My bigger annoyance is the login experience, every time I sign in, I'm forced to sit through a bunch of non-removable promo ads for it add-ons (like their credit card or payday advances). I'm not interested at all but there's no way to dismiss them.

This payroll management software is a simple, cost effective way to handle payroll. It helps automate key steps like tracking time and work hours, managing tax withholding and generating reports.

Cons

One point to consider is that a mobile app could make the experience even better, more like an add-on that complements the platform rather than the entire solution. It would be helpful if we could track their payments while they're on the move.

The app feels really user friendly, everything is simple and I can jump in quickly to find exactly what I'm looking for. The navigation is clear enough that I don't waste time hunting around.

It is a payroll platform that lets me process direct deposit or print payroll checks with just a click which makes payroll feel a lot more manageable.

When something goes wrong, customer service doesn't always get back quickly... it can take a few days to resolve the issue.

This software feels really adaptive to use and I didn't have to spend much time learning it at all. Getting started was simple and the workflow just makes sense.

After using it, I honestly haven't come across anything I dislike.

Makes it really simple to follow your pay week to week. It also tracks how much vacation time you've used and how much is still left in your balance. The interface is user friendly too and the system was simple to get the hang of.

The 401k section could use more depth and better features. Even with that, I'm overall happy with how the 401k works.

A solid fit for our mid-sized business, for pretty much everything related to payroll. The team also seems to genuinely enjoy using it... setup and day-to-day use are simple and the feature set covers what we need.

Cons

Something I wish it handled better is time off request notifications. It would be helpful if i could set things up so other employees get notified automatically when someone puts in a time-off request.

“couldn't process payments”

Pros

It previously integrated with my bookkeeping software which is part of why I decided to give it a shot. I wanted something more professional than handwritten checks or sending money through Venmo and I thought this would help bring more structure to my business.

Cons

I never managed to actually pay anyone through it. It kept prompting me to finish paperwork but it wouldn't clearly explain what documents or steps were missing. I started right after one paycheck to my team had gone out and then the next check got delayed while I tried to sort it out. Eventually I abandoned the setup and just sent everyone Venmo payments because I couldn't get the system working. This went on for roughly 60 days after I began using it.

One of the best parts has been the customer support. When they didn't already have an answer, they didn't just leave it there.. they tracked down someone who could help and get it resolved.

Adding PTO was a bit confusing and frustrating for me at first.

To add new employees to the app is hard... there's the email invite step, then they need to install the software. Also, employees only get full visibility into the details when they log in through the computer website, not as smoothly from other devices.

“Loved it”

Pros

Payroll runs on auto pilot so I don't have to stress about forgetting to pay anyone. It also automatically syncs with my accounting software which cuts down a ton of the month end close and reconciliation headaches.

Cons

Everything on the platform has matched what I expected so far and it's been working the way I want it to so I'm genuinely happy with it.

“Perfect for our team”

Pros

The most helpful thing about it is how simple it is to run payroll. Paying and keeping track of contractors feels surprisingly simple as well. During tax season, we rely on it to manage our 1099s and it honestly saves a ton of time.

Cons

One part I enjoy least is the pricing. Even with a two-person business, we still end up paying a meaningful amount just to run payroll and process contractor payments. Costs jump pretty quickly as the business grows which can get frustrating.
