I've been using it and it really helps, tracking time and putting in time-off requests feels a lot simpler for the whole team.

Cons

It would be even better if the app offered more options, like additional time-off request features and a cleaner, more simple way to view time tracking.

My payroll team really enjoys using it. The reports are simple to understand and the automatic email reminders help us stay on top of time-sensitive deadlines. Also, it pulls a single withdrawal from our bank to cover all taxes owed, then it handles paying the agencies directly for us.

Cons

Nothing major to complain about, everything has been working smoothly for our needs.

So I'm just using this software for my company and the setup for direct deposit was really simple. After getting it going, I could also view and download my paystubs without any hassle.

The platform is simple to use and getting contractors set up was simple enough to onboard them without too much hassle.

Support is a major problem... there's basically no way to reach a real person who can help with a specific issue. I've been dealing with a tax issue since I onboarded about three years ago and my employee taxes to the SC Revenue have never been paid correctly even though they still deduct the money from every paycheck. When I try to get in touch, I'm told I can't speak with anyone in the tax department about my case because it's "still being worked on." Months have passed with no real resolution. That lack of access to someone who actually knows what's going on feels both disturbing and unprofessional. While the company seems to be growing, relying on complete automation for something as serious as taxes isn't good business practice and comes across as highly unprofessional. Not fixing tax problems is unacceptable.

Guided setup walks you through creating your account in a really simple way. Also, having a single fee that covers everything feels way more reasonable than the traditional payroll services that nickel and dime you for filing forms making changes, running off-cycle payroll or processing bonuses. Also, the payment reminders are a lifesaver... they help ensure payroll doesn't slip by without you noticing.

Cons

It's frustrating that you can't directly contact the different departments within the company and support responses often take quite a while to come back.

Getting up and running was super simple and once you're past the initial setup, the whole thing stays just as effortless to use.

If you run into a really complicated problem, customer support can take a few days to resolve it but beyond that there aren't any real complaints.

Setup was quick and running payroll feels simple day to day. The dashboard is really solid and adding new employees is so easy with it. Paying contractors only takes a few clicks which has saved a lot of time for us. We don't use benefits yet but the way the system handles things makes it seem like it would simplify that too if we ever decide to add it. For a small business, this has become essential to our HR and payroll... honestly it's hard to imagine managing anything else without it. The cost savings versus hiring someone internally are huge and it's why I've recommended it to others who have also been happy with the results.

A couple of minor moments pop up, reporting can be a little tricky to figure out at times. There was also an ongoing alarm that kept notifying me and I couldn't immediately figure out what setting to change to stop it (small issue but still a bit annoying).

It has turned out to be a complete, fully featured payroll solution that covered every requirement our HR team had. We didn't feel pushed into paying extra for a dedicated payroll administrator or using an outside payroll firm which ended up saving us a lot.

Cons

For a smaller business, the minimum monthly fee to get payroll running can feel a bit steep at first. Once the company grows, that concern fades but clearing that initial cost hurdle wasn't something we were thrilled about early on.

Really enjoyed how well this platform filled the key gaps we had. When we picked it, we were a young startup and we're still using it today after growing a lot. It's been especially helpful for HR workflows, benefits management and staying on top of payroll compliance.

Cons

No major complaints about it support was solid and available when we needed it. Like with any new system, getting the hang of things at first can be a bit frustrating but that's more about the learning curve than the product itself.

As a small business owner, I needed a simple payroll and benefits setup for myself and my employees... something I could handle on my own but also something my bookkeeper could manage when needed. It has been simple enough that I can take care of the basic tasks myself and it's also a familiar option for my accounting team since they recommended it. After running it for a full year, payroll processing and the related tax work have honestly been effortless.

A few features don't apply to my situation right now even though I'm paying for access to them but I'm planning to use those functions later as my business grows.

It really cuts through the chaos around payroll and onboarding so the whole process feels much more manageable. Instead of juggling everything at once, it helps organize the setup and keeps things moving.

The support doesn't feel quite as handson as I needed particularly when you're a startup and still figuring out the basics. They do offer customer service but I wanted more guidance right at the beginning. That said, the tutorials are genuinely helpful.

Overall feature set feels really solid... nice, useful and packed with functionality that helps users sell their products and build a brand.

Some parts of the flow can get a bit confusing especially around the steps for transactions. It would be better if the process were simplified so everything is easier to understand.

There are plenty of options similar to Gusto and a number of them are even free. We switched away from it to try consolidating our data in one system but gathering everything into a single place didn't actually make day-to-day tasks simpler. When it came to payroll, it ended up making things noticeably worse.

Cons

It wasn't able to handle instantaneous payouts and every so often it would act a bit glitchy. Even so, it performed better than Square overall.

Its a great,user-friendly software with all the features that are needed to run a business. The layout is simple and straight forward. The team is knowledgeable and efficient. We recommend them highly!
