“quick setup”

Pros

Setup was simple and employees picked it up without much trouble. It also went a step further during COVID by creating a Payroll Protection Program form which made it much easier to apply for those loans.

Only a couple of minor tweaks needed for the leave time process and the opt, out of benefits process, those points were already mentioned.

“paperless payroll made simple”

Pros

Our company moved to a paperless setup so we had to switch up how payroll was handled. It provided software that lets us submit direct deposit requests, complete work authorization and pull together employee info all online. That setup really organizes onboarding for new hires. From an employee standpoint, I mainly used it to clock in and out which kept things simple.

Cons

It's missing a vacation request feature, there's no dedicated app and any tax corrections need to be entered manually.

Pros

If I could score it higher than a 10, I would. It's been far better than every other company I've tried. The website is very user-friendly, the customer support has been genuinely helpful and the pricing feels like a real win. At this point, it's hard to understand why more people aren't using it.

Pros

I was pleasantly surprised by how simple it was to manage payroll and it did a solid job with tax filing and the related documentation. Everything stayed organized and the whole process felt well taken care of.

Dont have any complaints... nothing negative came up during use and the software worked really well for my business.

The software looks really nice and it covers most of the functions you'd reasonably expect from it.

Taxes were a big problem for me, my state taxes only got taken out for one month and that left me owing thousands of dollars. Health insurance enrollment also didn't go smoothly in the same year. Because both of these issues happened together, it feels like the backend logic isn't dependable.

“I rely on it”

Pros

This software has consistently been simple to use and during COVID it turned out to be especially useful. The team quickly helped us handle the different COVID related credits and the legal requirements tied to them. We feel we got maximum value from using it and the onboarding tools have been a big help as well. I also appreciate the built in birthday and anniversary reminders which make communication feel a bit more personal.

Cons

Using it can get a little tricky when you manage more than one pay plan, for example, paying some people commission while others are hourly. The survey feature could definitely be improved although I still like having an automated workflow even if it's not perfect. We've also run into a few payroll tax glitches where taxes weren't paid on time.

Pros

It has made checking my paystubs and earnings really simple. I just log in, view any of my past paystubs and pull up benefit related information in a convenient way.

Cons

When I try to download a bundled set of paystubs, it turns everything into one long continuous PDF instead of separate files for each pay period which gets frustrating.

“It's a dynamic platform”

Pros

Switching from physical timesheets to Gusto was pretty simple and the onboarding process was simple to follow. The interface feels clean and adaptive and filling out timesheets takes very little time.

Cons

No real complaints. Early on, we didn't have a mobile app which was a bit limiting but they've since released one and it's been steadily improving, now it works well for me.

Pros

The software has been really simple to use and the user interface feels friendly and adaptive. I've also had no payroll errors while using it which has made everything run much more smoothly.

Cons

Only thing that's been bothering me is the price, it's a bit pricey. Another limitation is the lack of an offline backup option so when the internet connection gets poor, the software can't be used as well as it should be.

Everything is handled electronically, including all documents and related information which makes storing and retrieving data a lot simpler.

Not much to dislike here, this feels like a genuinely solid, well-rounded product.

“Works effortlessly”

Pros

Feels really simple to use and it connects nicely with T-sheets (Intuit Time). Our team can clock in and out through T sheets, we can keep an eye on everything there and then when payroll rolls around, we just click a button and it's handled.

Cons

Dont have much to report as a negative. If I'm being picky, it doesn't seem to offer its own solid built-in clock-in/clock-out timekeeping on par with T-sheets so we end up using two software setups.
