“Great for shift coverage requests”

Pros

Keeping up with clock-ins and clock-outs is really simple with this app and we also use it to manage employee schedules. One feature that's been especially helpful is the option to ask someone to cover a shift without having to track down a supervisor which matters a lot when things get hectic. It's also convenient that we can clock in before even walking into the kitchen. Overall it's an excellent app and definitely worth trying out.

Cons

There honestly isn't much negative for us to mention at this point. If anything comes up later, we'll update our review if needed.

“creating schedules is a pain”

Pros

It lets people receive alerts and each person can adjust the kind of reminders they want.

Cons

Trying to put schedules together wears me out. I've sent multiple requests to support and none have been acted on. I can't even use my keyboard to tab or select things. Picking a role means scrolling endlessly since I can't type to filter anything. Departments disappear after setting them up and the biggest headache is not being able to upload schedules from a simple CSV file. Their builder forces you into using their slow interface for every step.

“everyone genuinely loves using this”

Pros

From day one Homebase has been user-friendly, highly functional and an efficient, effective mobile platform. On top of that the customer service has been excellent. I have never used an HR or work app that both employees and management genuinely love across the board but this one really works for everyone.

Cons

Overall it costs us more than any other product we've used but it has still been worth the investment. The only real downside is that the time-off tracking feature is pretty basic and not as powerful as I'd like.

“Scheduling and tracking stay consistently reliable”

Pros

For the past two years I have been using it for employee scheduling and time tracking and it has made managing staff availability, leaves of absence and labor much more manageable. Because of that, I am able to put more of my time into developing other parts of my work.

Cons

Honestly it already covers all the features I'd want, just across different product packages.

“Tracks employee hours very reliably”

Pros

Switching to the free clock in and clock out app gave us accurate records for employee start and end times and finally replaced the sticky note system we had been relying on before. Each employee also had their own personal number to use when clocking in and out which made the process simple and organized.

Cons

Looking back I really didn't have any complaints about using the clock-in and clock-out system. It fixed the issue we were dealing with at the time and worked exactly as we needed it to.

“Packed with features”

Pros

Even without being very tech savvy, I have had no trouble using it because everything feels really user-friendly and there's a lot it can do. Having access to everything I need right from my phone has been especially convenient.

Cons

At this point I honestly have not come across any downsides with this product.

“Schedule alerts are absolutely fantastic”

Pros

One thing I really enjoy about Homebase is how simple it is to check the schedule and calendar. Whenever any changes are made, notifications come through right away so we can see alerts on our phones instead of having to wait for a manager to call us about schedule updates.

I honestly have not had any issues with this program. My experience with it has been nothing but positive.

“Perfect for scheduling and paychecks”

To be honest having everything in one app has been fantastic. I can keep up with my schedule, hours, paycheck and all sorts of other details right from the app and it's been perfect for what I need.

Cons

My only complaint is the cash-out feature. It relies on Plaid to connect banks and cards but none of the cards I use are supported.

I like how I can look at my schedule, switch shifts and even ask for time off or call in sick right inside the app. It shows my weekly earnings too and the group chat keeps everyone connected fast.

Cons

Don't have anything negative to say since it pretty much does what I need.

The payroll summary reports just aren't all that useful.

One thing that really stands out is how user-friendly the software is. Everything is easy and simple to use which makes day to day tasks much more convenient.

Cons

One issue I have noticed is that there isn't a convenient right-side option for moving the calendar up and down which can make navigation a bit less practical.

Pros

It is really easy to use and the whole system is very simple to use. Setup took hardly any effort because everything is basically handled for you and the timesheet tracks and calculates work hours perfectly.

Cons

I have not run into any problems with it and I plan to keep using this provider for my small business. It's been an excellent company to work with.

Hiring with Homebase worked really well for us. The scheduling tools, time tracking features and honestly just about everything else were excellent. We're really happy we came across it and would absolutely recommend it to any small business getting started.

Cons

One thing we would have appreciated is the option to add a different location for interviews. Since we were interviewing people at places other than our home base, having to list our home address was not ideal and is something we would have preferred not to make public.

The communication has been excellent and I really love this company.

It seems okay to me overall and I enjoy being able to communicate my opinions with others.

It is easy to use. It makes chatting with coworkers simple and it works really well for tracking hours worked and managing schedules.

One thing that happens a lot is forgetting to clock out and then the timer can keep running for days.

Managing schedules with this app has been a huge help and I honestly love how many features it offers. My team can use it right from their phones to check upcoming shifts across multiple locations, request time off and even keep track of how much they're earning.

Cons

After using it for 3 years I really have not run into any problems at all. I absolutely love this tool.
