“Don't need to be tech-savvy to use it
Pros
Creating and adjusting schedules doesn't take long even for people who aren't into tech. Staff clocks in on the app or a shared tablet and the times sync with payroll. They can also check their schedules, request time off and trade shifts from their phones. The chat keeps everyone updated when changes pop up.
Cons
Once in a while the alerts show up late and the mobile app could respond a bit quicker. It's nothing major but it's noticeable.

Pros
Building schedules is convenient for me. I can see who prefers certain times and who isn't available.
Cons
I'm not a fan of how often it pushes paid upgrades. It gets tiring seeing constant reminders to spend more money.

“don't have to switch accounts to manage my two businesses
Pros
I like that both of my businesses are connected in one place without switching accounts. My team can swap shifts and request time off without any issues.
Cons
I really want an option to split tips between servers and bartenders based on hours worked and liquor sales. I'd also like an automatic way to hold back 4% of card tips for processing instead of doing it by hand. Homebase used to offer this and it was extremely helpful.

Would be better if I could update schedule changes for the whole week without needing to delete old shifts and re-enter everything.

Pros
Putting together schedules is not complicated and I love using the color blocks because they help me see shifts instantly without reading every detail.

Pros
Having everything like scheduling, clock-ins and onboarding bundled together in one spot has made my life easier. I can handle my team without jumping between different tools and it's simple for me to manage everyone.
Cons
Since the whole system is mainly designed for U.S. businesses, I often feel limited as a Canadian user. Things like support, tax forms and compliance tools don't really match what we need here which makes it tough to rely on certain features.

Pros
When I ask for help, the replies come fast which is helpful when something pops up.
Cons
I really wish I could send out PDF timesheets to each employee so they could sign them digitally. Something similar to Adobe Sign would make the process a lot smoother for us.

“Easy layout with quick support but runs slow and US-centric
Pros
As a whole, my team and I feel like it works really well for us. The layout is easy to work with and support always responds quickly when we reach out.
Cons
One of the biggest issues for me is how slow the platform can get. Sometimes it takes far too long to load or process anything which throws off our workflow. Being a Canada?based team, we also struggle with things like entering Canadian addresses or adjusting settings to match local requirements. It feels like the system isn't fully built for users outside the U.S and that makes it harder for us to use it the way we need. I'm hoping future updates give more support for international teams.

What I enjoy most is how simple it is for both me and my staff. Building schedules takes hardly any effort and everyone finds it convenient.
Cons
There are moments when the site goes down for maintenance and our staff can't clock in which causes delays and confusion.

Pros
Our experience with it has been great. Switching from our old paper setup to this system felt easy and the team instantly liked how clean and accessible everything became. The pricing works well because it adjusts based on what your business needs. Whether you're small or growing, there's always something that fits. The scheduling tools, availability options and time clock features have really improved how we run things. There's so much built into it that helps us stay organized. I'd definitely recommend it to any business that wants to make staff management simpler.
Cons
We've enjoyed using Homebase overall but there are a couple of things I'd love to see improved. Payroll isn't available in Canada which would've made everything simpler in one place. Also, the option to view schedules by department is only included in higher?tier plans, even though it feels like something basic that many businesses would need. Still, these are small issues compared to the overall value the software brings.

Pros
Setting up Homebase was not hard at all. It's simple for admins and just as simple for staff. We get accurate time tracking, scheduling, PTO management and solid payroll support without headaches.
Cons
The only thing that bothered me was helping them with an idea for a great feature and then being asked to pay for that feature once it launched. I would've loved to use it but not with an extra fee added. I'd also love a private manager?only section on the schedule where I can jot down things like reminders, notes for supervisors or small tasks without it appearing on the published schedule.

I find it very easy to move around the app. Scheduling is quick, HR tasks are simple and talking with employees feels organized. I also synced it with QuickBooks which makes things smoother.
Cons
I feel like the reporting tools aren't strong at all. When I need a report on a specific employee, it doesn't let me pull the details the way I want so I just work around it.

“Repeating schedules made easy
Pros
It's a very easy way for me to see who's working, what shifts are covered and how the day is filled. Repeating schedules is simple so once I build a rota, I can reuse it easily. I'm pretty sure there are a bunch of features I haven't explored yet but what I use covers exactly what I need. The free plan works great for me and even the paid plans are affordable.
Cons
Nothing really comes to mind except that the free plan limits certain things. The only cap I've run into is the number of notes you can add in a month.

I absolutely love using this product. Writing schedules takes minutes instead of hours. Everything is finally in one place and the color coding makes the whole page easy to read. Customer support has been helpful every time I reached out, even during weekends and holidays. Getting started was easy and I use the app every single day. My team picked it up without issues and all our communication stays organized in one location.
Cons
Only issue I have is that my employer won't integrate it into our system so I can't use all the features that would help me the most.

Everyone on my staff uses it now. Clocking in and out is easy and I can clearly see who's late. They can trade shifts, request time off and every action is documented. Scheduling used to be messy but now even our complicated winter operations run smoothly.
Cons
Only drawback for us is the cost of having every employee geotagged for clock?ins. We're hoping the newer updates make that part more affordable.
