Fast and simple for quick hiring

Pros

Indeed is fast and simple to use which matters a lot when I am trying to hire someone quickly. It speeds up the whole recruiting workflow and helps me sift through candidates efficiently because I can specify exactly what I'm after. Plus the employer portal puts everything in one convenient spot so I can easily access applications, messages and job details without jumping between different tools.

Cons

There's nothing about it that I dislike. As per me the whole process from posting a role to finding candidates runs well. And it is the best both for my own job search and for advertising openings when I need to hire staff.

better than Linkedin but confusing job posting

Pros

According to me it better than LinkedIn because when we posted the same openings on both platforms I noticed we received significantly more high-quality applicants through this site.

Cons

It can be a bit confusing. As when I post a job it's often hard to format it the way I want and there are not many customization options.

Publish basic listings for free

Pros

What I like most about using Indeed for Employers is that I can publish basic job listings for free that alone lets me connect with a broad and diverse pool of potential candidates.

Cons

Even though I reach a lot of applicants it's hard to actually contact many of them. As applying is so quick and easy for employers that it draws huge numbers but following up is the real challenge.

Job postings are mostly US-focused

Pros

I like that it makes an effort to help me look for work. Also it's handy that I can check the job's location whether it's remote and the listed salary.

Cons

Unfortunately most of the job postings seem aimed at people based in the US so I often struggle to find remote roles that are open to candidates from LATAM.

professional, great networking, clear postings

Pros

The professionalism, networking reach, employee management and openness I find with Indeed employers is something amazing. Plus their job postings tend to be clear, employers typically reply quickly and that responsiveness makes the site easy to use. I also feel the hiring procedures are structured and fair. Overall it simplifies my job hunt and gives me confidence that listings are legitimate and well-organized, plus the portal is easy to access.

Cons

One drawback I've noticed is that some employers take a long time to reply or never provide any feedback after I apply. Occasionally I also see job posts remain listed even though the roles have already been filled and that tends to be frustrating when I'm searching because it wastes time and creates false hope for applicants.

Free tier and amazing support

Pros

One thing I love is that there's a free tier available. And when I have had to reach out to their support team they were extremely helpful and genuinely amazing to deal with. The site itself looks clean and uncluttered and I find it surprisingly easy to navigate even when I expected it to be more complicated. I also like that candidates can directly reach me through the portal. Plus we have made some excellent hires and useful connections on this app and it makes managing potential future employees simple and efficient.

Cons

Paid ads feel a bit expensive which is frustrating when I want more visibility. So I use the free version and get strong results without spending anything on promotions.

Quick and easy to find jobs

Pros

With it, it is quick and easy to find jobs that match my interests and to submit applications. Plus it makes it simple for employers and job seekers to connect.

Cons

Sometimes the talent pool on it feels overcrowded and I worry employers don't have the chance to review every applicant.

Familiar platform, steady applicants

Pros

I'm comfortable using the platform since so many people are already familiar with Indeed which means job seekers turn to it as a primary resource and that visibility makes it easy for me to receive a steady stream of applicants.

Cons

Honestly I cannot think of many downsides. If I had to quote one I would say sometimes I have to refresh job postings to keep them visible and occasionally listings don't close properly when I am done managing a position which is really frustrating.

Loved how user-friendly everything felt

Pros

What I loved most about Indeed for Employers was how user friendly everything felt. Such as the interface made posting roles, scanning applicants and getting back to candidates so simple and quick which I think was its strongest point.

Cons

On the downside I occasionally struggled to filter and organize candidates by job or by hierarchy which became especially messy when multiple positions were open. Also, the interview scheduling feature sometimes seem off and not very smooth.

free, effective, clean employer portal

Pros

Indeed lets me create, edit and post job ads directly on the platform. Also it is free, with optional paid boosts so it's an effective way to reach candidates. In the UK, most job seekers use Indeed and we get about 70% of our applicants through it. The employer portal is also clean and easy to use so I can navigate quickly and manage team access without any hassle.

Cons

One annoyance is that the site often redirects me to a job posting instead of going straight to my dashboard. The Go to Dashboard button also moves around which is confusing when I am trying to work quickly. Support works a bit differently too as there are no dedicated account managers but when I have needed help, the reps are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful.

Really user-friendly interface and messaging

Pros

The interface is really user friendly. Also I notice the layout makes everything simple to navigate. Messaging between me as an employer and candidates also works smoothly with all the features I rely on.

Cons

However the pricing for the various service tiers feels a bit steep for me as an employer. It seems they've adjusted rates several times over the past few years. And in my rural location I often get comparable response using just the free parts of the platform which makes me question paying for higher levels.

low quality resumes, repeated CVs

Pros

My experience was really bad. As the candidates they suggested did not match what we were looking for even after we did their training. Plus they kept sending the same resumes over and over. On top of that, the billing was unfair and ignored the timelines they promised. When we asked for a refund, no one responded. So honestly I'd say stay away.

Cons

I find the quality of the resumes far below what I expected. Despite adjusting the filters and settings, I still get the same handful of CVs repeatedly which is annoying.

Easy account setup and free access

Pros

It is pretty easy to set up an account and submit job applications. Also accessing the site is really simple and I even like that there are no fees to use it.

Cons

They should implement stronger identity checks for people posting jobs because there seem to be a lot of scammers collecting users personal information.

Good value and predictable costs

Pros

Indeed gives strong value for the price and because it charges per application the expenses stay fairly predictable. Plus the whole hiring workflow is simple to navigate from creating and posting job listings to sifting through candidates. Their applicant management features are also clear and help me keep things organized. And whenever I've needed help, customer support has been quick to respond and genuinely useful.

Cons

The issue is I get a lot of spammy, irrelevant or duplicate applications which makes it hard to find qualified candidates.

large talent pool

Pros

I like that it is easy to post jobs, review applicants and message candidates all from one dashboard. That saves time and simplifies hiring. Plus the platform has a large, diverse talent pool and built-in screening that helps me find qualified candidates quickly. Sponsored listings and company profiles also boost visibility for key roles. And reports and analytics make it simple to track how posts are performing and improve my strategy over time.

Cons

One issue is that to get good visibility on jobs, I often have to sponsor them which drives up costs and strains the budget, especially for small teams. Also some advanced branding and analytics tools are only available in paid plans. And the high number of applicants means extra work to sort through and remove less relevant candidates.

Great free tool, centralizes hiring

Pros

This is a great tool that I use to help locate job seekers. Also it includes a free basic job posting option and has a user-friendly interface that centralizes many hiring tasks.

Cons

Often I get many low-quality or unqualified applicants along with occasional spam and fake job posts. And parts of the interface also feel confusing or chaotic at times.

Go-to platform with all tools in one

Pros

Posting jobs on this platform is my go-to method as a small employer. What I appreciate most is having all the recruiting tools in one place so I can find, screen and contact qualified candidates right from the start.

Cons

The pricing is too high for a small company. So we had to carefully limit our spending, watch campaign lengths closely and time everything just right to stay within budget.

Pros

It is an excellent tool to hire new employees every single day. We depend on Indeed constantly and we are excited to continue using the platform into the future.

Cons

They can be hard to reach sometimes but I have been able to contact them by text or email and occasionally get through to people who were otherwise unavailable.
