immediate access to matching candidates

Pros

One thing I really like is that right after I pay I can immediately see high-quality candidates whose resumes match my job description. It saves so much time and connects me with the right people instantly.

Cons

So far I have not found any drawbacks as it consistently pulls together high-quality responses for my company and the role I'm hiring for.

incredibly user-friendly, helps hire quickly

Pros

For my small business I have found Indeed to be an incredibly user-friendly platform that helps me hire quickly. Plus creating and publishing a job post only takes a few minutes and even when I use a free listing I still received a surprisingly high number of leads!

Cons

Sometimes I do not receive email alerts when an applicant applies so I end up having to log into the site and go through applications manually to make sure I contact everyone who showed interest which can be pretty inconvenient at times.

Useful platform & easy posting

Pros

I have turned to Indeed to help hire employees for my business and overall it has been a pretty useful platform. Posting job listings was easy to do and before long I began getting a good number of applicants. That made the hiring side of things less of a headache and saved me time compared with other methods I've tried in the past. Naturally some candidates were a much better fit than others but the software still delivered a reliable pool to choose from. So yes I'd recommend it to employers wanting to streamline their hiring process.

Cons

Quite a few applicants did not fully match the job's requirements so I ended up spending extra time sorting through resumes and eliminating unsuitable candidates.

simplifies hiring process

Pros

As an employer I like being able to browse every applicant and make changes to job descriptions whenever necessary which simplifies our hiring process.

Cons

Honestly there isn't much about this platform that bothers me. As I find it really easy to use and I like that it receives regular updates to keep things running smoothly.

price increases and access is harder

Pros

One thing I really like is the resume database. As it's honestly the only feature I find genuinely useful. And when I have to do deep recruiting and proactively reach out to candidates to fill open roles, that database lets me search for people everywhere who have the experience I'm seeking.

Cons

Lately I have noticed the price keeps increasing and it's becoming progressively harder to access what I actually want.I've been using it for recruiting for over ten years and their improvements haven't improved my experience. I honestly preferred the old basic version.

Makes job hunting easy

Pros

Indeed makes job hunting easy. I found my job at Penn Highlands through it in December 2022. I also liked that I could filter for full-time work and preferred shifts which made my search more focused. I still work there today though I have since moved to a different role within the organization.

Cons

To be honest what bothers me most about Indeed are the scam job listings that sometimes slip through onto the site. I always try to stay vigilant when using it because while many postings are genuine, a number are fraudulent so you really need to double-check and exercise caution before applying.

Primary way to bring in applicants

Pros

It has become our primary way to bring in applicants directly. Also the employer dashboard is pretty easy to navigate and I like that we have a specific Account Manager to handle any questions. And because it is such a recognized jobs site, it consistently draws a healthy volume of candidates.

Cons

Lately it feels like every job we post has to be promoted as a sponsored listing before we start getting applicants. When hiring ramps up, those sponsorship fees add up quickly and can become quite costly for us.

Pros

Getting started was not a problem and initially my team and I received several high-quality leads through the service but sadly none of those prospects actually worked out in the end.

Over time, the quality of applicants went down. Amd even though the job listing stayed up, more and more underqualified people started applying.

Taps passive candidates but has billing errors

Pros

For our hiring needs I lean on this platform not only to post open roles but also to pull up resumes from people who are currently employed or casually exploring opportunities. Overall I find it really useful that I can tap into passive candidates and that the system connects directly with our applicant tracking setup which simplifies moving candidates through our process.

Cons

Recently I got an email on 1/14/26 that claimed both of my subscriptions were going to renew on January 17, 2026 for a combined total of $551.20 and that kicked off a frustrating experience. I actually only have one subscription and it has been paused since 12/17/25 with a $0 balance so the notification made no sense. Even if that single subscription were active, the correct renewal amount would be $127.20, not the inflated figure I was sent. When I called support, I was told those billing messages are automated which honestly did not made sense to me and felt dismissive. And I was verbally assured I wouldn't be charged but now I have to monitor my credit card account closely to make sure no mistaken charges appear. On top of that, when I am logged into my account and my subscription is paused, the system shouldn't automatically open a new subscription just because I want to view a resume but it should ask if I want to reactivate. That behavior forced me into another call with customer service and more vigilance over my billing. All of this makes it obvious that those automated emails aren't accurately reflecting what's actually happening in my account, even when I am signed in.

Helpful tenstreet integration

Pros

Indeed was very helpful for posting jobs. And through its Tenstreet integration, we were able to connect with the best candidates more easily.

Cons

Well I am not sure how much this one is at fault versus the industry overall but the job market has clearly changed. I think digital platforms are partly to blame as they often create confusing steps, dead ends and friction for both employers and job seekers.

Pros

What my team and I like most about it is that we consistently find high-quality candidates through the platform.

Pros

It offers a broad selection of job opportunities that match my background and interests. Relevant positions show up in my inbox on a regular basis which makes browsing easy. I also like that employers have the ability to review and compare applicants qualifications side-by-side.

Pros

I've noticed that Indeed pulls together job posts from a huge range of companies and sectors so I get to browse a broad spread of roles and opportunities.

I have also been impressed with their support as they don't just fix technical issues, they help me improve search settings, get better candidate matches and make the most of my budget.

Pros

The platform brings in a large number of applicants and speeds up our hiring process and it tries to match candidates by scanning resumes for keywords that align with the role.

Large applicant pool with prescreening questions

Pros

We like the large pool of applicants and the easy to use interface. Plus I can set prescreening questions so only qualified candidates move forward. And I have not needed customer support but I do get a notification every time someone applies. It is also easy to track who I've messaged and who has started an application.

Cons

The platform brings in many applicants and even underqualified people still slip through the filters. The cost is also high for a small business like ours. So we chose the lowest tier but got a good number of suitable candidates.

Fast and simple for quick hiring

Pros

Indeed is fast and simple to use which matters a lot when I am trying to hire someone quickly. It speeds up the whole recruiting workflow and helps me sift through candidates efficiently because I can specify exactly what I'm after. Plus the employer portal puts everything in one convenient spot so I can easily access applications, messages and job details without jumping between different tools.

professional, great networking, clear postings

Pros

The professionalism, networking reach, employee management and openness I find with Indeed employers is something amazing. Plus their job postings tend to be clear, employers typically reply quickly and that responsiveness makes the site easy to use. I also feel the hiring procedures are structured and fair. Overall it simplifies my job hunt and gives me confidence that listings are legitimate and well-organized, plus the portal is easy to access.

Cons

One drawback I've noticed is that some employers take a long time to reply or never provide any feedback after I apply. Occasionally I also see job posts remain listed even though the roles have already been filled and that tends to be frustrating when I'm searching because it wastes time and creates false hope for applicants.

I also like that candidates can directly reach me through the portal. Pros

I'm comfortable using the platform since so many people are already familiar with Indeed which means job seekers turn to it as a primary resource and that visibility makes it easy for me to receive a steady stream of applicants.

Pros

What I loved most about Indeed for Employers was how user friendly everything felt. Such as the interface made posting roles, scanning applicants and getting back to candidates so simple and quick which I think was its strongest point.

free, effective, clean employer portal

Pros

Indeed lets me create, edit and post job ads directly on the platform. Also it is free, with optional paid boosts so it's an effective way to reach candidates. In the UK, most job seekers use Indeed and we get about 70% of our applicants through it. The employer portal is also clean and easy to use so I can navigate quickly and manage team access without any hassle.

Cons

One annoyance is that the site often redirects me to a job posting instead of going straight to my dashboard. The Go to Dashboard button also moves around which is confusing when I am trying to work quickly. Support works a bit differently too as there are no dedicated account managers but when I have needed help, the reps are knowledgeable and genuinely helpful.

Cons

However the pricing for the various service tiers feels a bit steep for me as an employer. It seems they've adjusted rates several times over the past few years. Pros

My experience was really bad. As the candidates they suggested did not match what we were looking for even after we did their training. Plus they kept sending the same resumes over and over. On top of that, the billing was unfair and ignored the timelines they promised. When we asked for a refund, no one responded. So honestly I'd say stay away.

Pros

I like that it is easy to post jobs, review applicants and message candidates all from one dashboard. That saves time and simplifies hiring. Plus the platform has a large, diverse talent pool and built-in screening that helps me find qualified candidates quickly. Sponsored listings and company profiles also boost visibility for key roles. And reports and analytics make it simple to track how posts are performing and improve my strategy over time.

Cons

One issue is that to get good visibility on jobs, I often have to sponsor them which drives up costs and strains the budget, especially for small teams. Also some advanced branding and analytics tools are only available in paid plans. And the high number of applicants means extra work to sort through and remove less relevant candidates.

Pros

Indeed for Employers makes it easy for teams to work together on hiring. The interface is alos user-friendly, pricing is fair and we get a steady flow of applicants. In hospitality that is an industry known for being hard to recruit for we have consistently filled our roles using Indeed.

Cons

Easy posting, great organizing tools

Pros

Posting jobs is easy now and my dashboard has great tools for organizing applicants. Overall Indeed always delivers strong results and saves us a lot of time during hiring.

Cons

We occasionally come across applicants who don't match the listed qualifications or who unintentionally submit multiple applications.

Great for talent hunting

Pros

The tool is great for finding new talent. Also it is very user-friendly, packed with features and shows stats for active jobs.

Cons

It feels a bit expensive yet I still consider it the best place to locate new hires and to advertise job openings.

huge audience, easy use, good value

Pros

Indeed reaches a huge audience and is very easy to use. Also applicants can message me and I can send applications back to them. And in my experience, sponsoring posts and creating ads offer good value for the money.

Cons

One improvement I'd like to see is an option to delete messages or move them into folders so I can stay organized for each role. It would also help if job adverts could accept attachments.

Likes checking applicant status from homepage

Pros

I really like that I can check an applicant's status right from the homepage. In that way, anyone who logs in can quickly see where we are in the hiring process and pick up where we left off.

Cons

My only complaint is that I wish there were more built-in screening options beyond the additional ones we have to buy which is really the sole drawback I can point to.

applicant quality is hit or miss

Pros

The software gives my job ads great exposure especially useful when hiring in bulk or for entry-level roles. Posting is also simple and the employer dashboard is easy to use. Moreover built-in screening questions and messaging help me shortlist candidates faster and more effectively.

Cons

However I do find the quality of applicants can be hit or miss and I often get a flood of irrelevant or underqualified resumes. Also the targeting and filtering tools feel more limited than newer recruiting platforms I've tried. Plus if I boost listings with paid promotion, costs can climb quickly and there is no clear ROI tracking to justify the spend.

has gone down recently

Pros

It lets me ask pre-screening questions so I can quickly filter out unsuitable candidates. And it also offers lots of useful functionality.

Cons

Lately I have noticed it's not following the qualification rules I set up and I am not sure if it's a bug.

Most dependable hiring site

Pros

Indeed to be is the most dependable hiring site I have used so far, covering everything from searching candidates to offering suggested matches for open roles.

Cons

What I dislike most about it is how expensive it can become over time especially frustrating when you pay increasingly higher fees but still end up without a strong, hireable candidate to show for it.
