support rep was a hero for our payroll crisis

Pros

Rebecca was a hero this week. We had a lot of payroll problems after our office closed for bad weather and we were struggling with how to enter hours for our salaried staff. She was super responsive and thorough in helping us fix everything.

Cons

The inclement weather code just stopped working this time? We've used it before with no issues. Support fixed it but it was strange.

Fast payroll needs a mobile app

Pros

I appreciate how fast payroll gets processed once it's submitted. And being able to see exactly what my paycheck will be before it even hits my bank account is fantastic.

Cons

One thing I really miss is a mobile app. It would be a game-changer for when I'm not at my computer.

helpful team that teaches you well

Pros

Team is so helpful. They take their time to walk you through each step and make sure you actually understand what's happening before you move on.

Cons

I'm trying to think of something I don't like but I've got nothing. This software has made my life so much easier, zero complaints here.

amazing team with slow follow-ups

Pros

Customer service team really stands out especially the folks in compliance and tier 2 support.

Cons

The wait times can be a drag sometimes. And they could definitely be faster and more thorough with their integration checks and follow-ups.

fantastic and easy employer portal

Pros

We've had a fantastic experience with this platform. We use a few of their products and the employer portal is so easy to use. The support team is also really friendly. Shoutout to amanda, she's been so knowledgeable and helpful to work with.

Cons

so far, so good! Haven't run into any problems yet.

Glitchy app ruins handy features

Pros

Its handy that I can get my tax forms and schedules.... when the system is working properly.

Cons

The app is glitchy and it doesn't work on all carriers and crashes on me all the time.

accurate payroll (annoying constant sales)

Pros

The payroll function is really accurate and makes managing our team so much easier.

Cons

It gets old being constantly nagged to buy more add-on apps. We get it, you have more stuff to sell!

Accurate pay but pushy on apps

Pros

I am impressed by how precise the payroll features are and they've made overseeing our team's tasks and payments a lot easier.

Cons

I get irritated by the ongoing pressure to purchase additional add-on apps which becomes annoying after I've used it for a while.

easy and powerful but slow support

Pros

Honestly the interface is so easy to use, it just makes sense. My daily tasks are way smoother now. The reporting is crazy powerful and it actually helps me understand our data! Love that I can customize everything for what we need and it doesn't slow down even with all our data. Payroll is surprisingly simple now too.

Cons

When I need help quickly, their customer support can be really slow to respond. It's frustrating.

friendly tool with confusing reports

Pros

It's pretty easy to figure out and updates are free which is a nice bonus.

Cons

The report writer can be confusing to figure out and when I contact support about it, they don't always give me the right answers. I usually find better solutions just by searching online myself.

Great benefits, awful payroll support

Pros

We've used this for our benefits enrollment for three years. The first year was kinda rough, not gonna lie but the last two have been amazing. Shoutout to Heathe, our Benefits analyst..she was so responsive, knew everything and was just awesome to work with. The online site is easy to use and I love that I can store all our employee files digitally right there.

Cons

Getting help with payroll or tax issues is nearly impossible. They won't let you actually talk to anyone in the tax department, you just get emails saying they're "looking into it." and if you do find someone helpful who's assigned to your account, they've always moved to a different job by the next time you need them. We've been using this for three years and have never talked to the same account rep twice. Every few months, someone new emails me trying to sell more products, saying they're my new rep who's here to help but then I never hear from them again. The customer support is seriously lacking.

support is a lifesaver, tool has a steep learning curve

Pros

The support is a lifesaver. I can call anytime with a payroll question, taxes, withholdings, benefits whatever and get someone right away. And everyone I've talked to actually knows what they're doing! They break everything down so it's easy to understand.

Cons

Using this system can be overwhelming especially since I wasn't the one who set it up. I really wish there was a simple step-by-step guide or a PDF for basic tasks and something I could quickly check without having to watch a 20-minute training video that might not even cover what I need. That said, I did find out that customer support is actually really helpful. They'll walk you through any problem as many times as you need.

customizable but limited control

Pros

The payroll stuff is super customizable which works great for our weird specific needs. Also Mark has fixed pretty much every problem I've thrown at him.

Cons

The response time when I have questions could definitely be better. It's also frustrating that we admins don't get full access to everything. We're always having to ask for help with basic tasks because our permissions are so limited. I'd love to have more control over rules and settings without having to submit a ticket all the time.

Lots of info but hard to learn

Pros

so much info right where you need it. Love that.

Cons

Learning all the features and getting familiar with everything has been pretty challenging for me. It's generally user-friendly but I'm still figuring out how to get the most out of it in my daily work.

convenient from anywhere

Pros

I can run all my employee and payroll stuff from anywhere. So convenient for my workflow.

Cons

I've had some recent problems with the data feed to my 401K provider but I'm pretty sure the issue is mostly on their end, not isolved's.

Great people, limited reporting

Pros

Having everything in one spot is great even if we don't use all the bells and whistles. My experience got so much better after working with Brooke Allen and our ACA rep, Amanda Young. They're the best.

Cons

The interface could be more interactive and it's not as user-friendly as I hoped. The reporting is also limited and I have a hard time pulling basic employee info when I need it fast.

fast support with many features

Pros

support gets back to you so fast and they're really easy to work with. There are a ton of features and we're still new,so it'll take us a minute to get everything set up but I'm impressed so far.

Cons

A couple of small things could use some tweaking but honestly nothing major really bothers me.

easy rates with poor reporting

Pros

Amanda made everything easy

Pros

Amanda Young from support was the best! so nice and helpful and she answered all my questions super fast. Made everything so easy.

Cons

Managing policy groups feels way too complicated. I'd rather just handle them myself instead of needing extra help with such a frustrating process.
