love it for our dependent care accounts

Pros

I love using isolved for our dependent care accounts. It's super easy to use and I haven't had any issues. I really like that my balance is just right there whenever I need to check it.

Cons

Sometimes using the site is a little hard but once you get used to it, it's pretty easy. Honestly, none of my employees have had any real issues with it.

Simple app

Pros

This has been a really easy app to use. It's simple and doesn't have alot of buttons to push, just what you need, nothing extra.

Cons

Resetting your password has proven to be kind of difficult. I will say customer service was helpful when I called but it should just be a pretty simple thing to do on your own.

Charged me for waiting. Seriously?

Pros

They do post to a lot of different sites to get candidates which is good. I did end up hiring two techs from the resumes they sent over but honestly, I had more and better luck finding people on my own.

Cons

The billing is confusing. I wanted to start an ad and they started billing me as soon as I emailed saying I was interested even though it took 12 days for the ad to actually go live. A good chunk of that time, I was just waiting for them to respond. That doesn't seem right to me.

Makes everything run smoothly

Pros

The product they offer is great. We use it for payroll, onboarding, recruitment and reviews. it really makes everything run smoothly for us.

Cons

interface could be more friendly especially on the mobile side. It's just not as user-friendly as it could be.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use and its reporting features. It's also great that you can import time. Plus, customer support is fast and very helpful.

Cons

I find that the expense module lacks good reporting, which would make it a lot more helpful for us clients.

Friendly but missing features

Pros

Their website is very user-friendly. Even if you're new to the system, you can find your way around it without any trouble.

Cons

The reason I dislike iSolved is that it didn't have a lot of the tracking and reporting features my company really needed.

great look with confusing setup

Pros

It has a great user interface and is really good for managing payment processing. It's high on ease of use and it's definitely one I prefer.

Cons

iSolved has two halves, one for financials and one for PTO. It can quickly get confusing trying to figure out which one you need to be in.

Promises Vs. Performance

Pros

I like how it tries to bring together both the HR side and the financial side. I've worked places that used two separate systems and that could get confusing. So the fact that this saves money and time is a big plus for me.

Cons

company told us we could have our offer letters come from this tool but it hasn't happened yet. I feel like the sales team promised a bit more than they could deliver. The user interface isn't as smooth as some other platforms but it's not as bad as others, either.

Helpful When It Works

Pros

Customer service for the payroll solutions is prompt and really provides great support. Running reports is easy, too.

Cons

The tax withholding division failed to pay my unemployment taxes properly and it has taken over a year to resolve, costing my company several thousand dollars. Also, the PTO balances only update once payroll is processed, so staff might take too much time off without knowing they didn't have any left.

Ghosted by support twice

Pros

Nothing. There's honestly nothing good to say about this company or ApplicantPro. It feels poorly run and some of their tactics are just strange.

Cons

They told me to schedule a call, then the person canceled the scheduled call twice at the last minute. Once, just 7 minutes before with no reason. The first time, I emailed asking why and he didn't respond. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and scheduled again. And he canceled minutes prior, again with no reason. Very poorly run company. Super unprofessional.

frustratingly difficult to navigate

Pros

To be fair, isolved does have some solid strengths. The reporting feature is genuinely powerful and can give you some really valuable insights once you get to it. It's also useful for keeping basic employee information all in one central place, which is a big plus for organization.

Cons

On the downside, the platform is just not user-friendly. It's frustratingly difficult to navigate, I'm always clicking around trying to find what I need and my employees get equally lost just trying to find their basic payroll info. The whole system feels clunky, with too many portals and no clear guidance on where to go for what. The good features are honestly hard to enjoy because the interface gets in the way so much.

good design ruined by freezing problems

Pros

The design and content of the training modules are excellent. The video-based format with clear narration is engaging and much more effective than text-heavy manuals

Cons

Unfortunately, the unreliable platform makes this great content almost inaccessible. Constant technical issues like modules failing to load or freezing force me to redo work, which undermines the entire learning experience.

supportive community for growth

Pros

I really enjoy the community and how committed everyone is to self-improvement. There are also tons of resources available to help you grow professionally.

Cons

Verification processes can take a while but it's understandable why that is. So I can't really say it bothers me but if I had to pick something, then this would be it.

Quick reimbursements!

Pros

It's very easy to submit claims for reimbursement and they process them quickly. I also appreciated how fast everything went when using the issued payment card.

Cons

The debit cards they issued didn't have a chip and sometimes they wouldn't work when I was trying to pay over the phone at my pharmacy.

It was a great solution for us for many years! It was cost-effective for our company, fairly easy to use and implement and had good reporting capabilities.

Cons

There are some areas that are a bit 'over-worked,' especially during setup. The ultimate reason why I changed vendors this year is that it is unable to integrate with QuickBooks Desktop for payroll and timekeeping.

Pros

Getting access to my paycheck early was a total game-changer for me and my coworkers! It makes dealing with an unexpected bill so much less stressful.

Cons

Pros

I really love two things about isolved. First, it plays nicely with all our other payroll systems, which is a huge time-saver. Second, the People Heroes community is fantastic, it's like having a team of experienced colleagues always ready to help when I run into something new.

Cons

honestly, the constant update cycle is frustrating. It seems like every time they roll out a "new and improved" version, it creates new problems. I wish they'd spend more time testing these changes with people who actually use the system day-to-day before pushing them out to everyone.

Easy to use for simple tasks

Pros

I like how simple it is for running payroll, sending messages and for employees to find their way around. It seems to work well for everyone, no matter how comfortable they are with technology.

Cons

Handling alternate pay rates is a real struggle. They have a feature for it but it just didn't work for what we needed to do.

Simple to find info!

Pros

My favorite thing is how easy it is to find any information I need. Whether it's a client's tax status, their TOA policy or just one employee's details, everything is right where you'd expect it to be. Nothing is hidden away.

Cons

I'd love to be able to leave a note right on an employee's profile on the payroll screen. That way, if someone has to fill in for me and needs to make a special change, they'd see the note right there and wouldn't miss it.
