lifesaver for a newcomer

Pros

Customer support has been a total lifesaver while we've been switching over. I had alot of issues with our year-end payroll and Cindy Brewer was so patient and professional the whole time. Having that phone support is a huge deal when you're still trying to figure everything out.

Cons

It takes forever to get a response from email support. Seriously if you need help quickly just call them instead!

all-in-one payroll with great support

Pros

My favorite thing is how this all-in-one platform makes payroll and employee info so simple to handle. Plus the customer support team is always quick to get back to you.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything bad to say. It handles all of our payroll needs perfectly and I haven't run into any issues that bother me.

steeper learning curve than expected for payroll

Pros

Becca has been a lifesaver whenever I have a question or run into a snag. She knows her stuff and replies so fast and it really makes a big difference.

Cons

Its quite difficult to use than I expected especially since I was new to doing payroll.

helpful contact in a broken system

Pros

My main contact, sarah Louise has been incredibly helpful. She's always friendly and gets back to me quickly whenever I need help. If it's something she can't handle, she makes sure it gets to the right person. I use this platform every day, and it's easy to use whether I'm wearing my admin hat or just checking my own stuff. It makes onboarding new people very easy.

Cons

Their customer service for anything beyond basic questions is awful. It takes weeks to get a response on problems, and there's never any follow-up. When we have an urgent payroll issue, I'm stuck on the phone for hours trying to get help. My staff gets mad at me and they don't realize it's not my fault, the system just isn't working right.

easy reports but a confusing interface

Pros

Reports are really easy to understand and I love that I can preview the payroll before I actually run it.

Cons

Interface isn't user-friendly at all especially if you don't have an HR or finance background. I'm usually good with technology and can figure things out fast but this system has been a real struggle. It's like trying to use Photoshop without any training, completely overwhelming and confusing. It might be great for HR pros but it's way too complex for someone just running a small business.

friendly and quick with minor annoyances

Pros

The whole interface is really friendly so I can find my way around without any trouble. And on the off chance I do need help, their support team is pretty quick to respond which is great.

Cons

Those constant pop-up reminders that force you to click "okay" before you can do anything else are really annoying.

Affordable start that couldn't scale

Pros

It is an affordable solution which is good for a small business like ours. It packs in a lot of features and I like that you can customize different options to fit what you need. I'd definitely say it's one of the better choices for smaller companies on a budget.

Cons

It was okay at first but as we grew, it just couldn't keep up. Everything feels limited and more of a struggle. The interface is very outdated and trying to run a report is a nightmare. There are tons of reports but I can never find the one I need without having to call customer support.

costed me tons of money

Pros

This system is just a basic online platform and honestly, it doesn't feel much different from what other vendors offer.

Cons

They mess up the amounts they withdraw from your account and it's never in your favor. You have to catch their mistakes yourself to get your money back. The worst part is there's literally no customer service. No one to talk to, no help. Plus, there are lots of hidden fees.

The worst company ever!

Pros

Honestly, I didn't like a single thing about it.

Cons

I wish I could give zero stars. From their shady contract wording to their employees, this is easily the worst company I've ever dealt with. The software looks like it's straight out of 1995 and it feels like they designed it to be as miserable and hard to use as possible. Every single employee I've spoken to seems to be in a competition to prove who is more incompetent.

Pros

I appreciate how simple it is to check employees time clocks when running payroll.

Cons

Setting up each employee's profile was a little difficult and took longer than I expected.

Responsive service needs better reports

Pros

Their customer service is so responsive. Whenever I call someone picks up right away and they really listen to figure out how to help me.

Cons

Reporting features could be a lot better. They definitely need some work to be more powerful.

easy to use with minor quirks

Pros

I find the software very easy to use and the customer support team is really helpful whenever I need them.

Cons

I don't do it very often so I sometimes struggle to remember all the steps for setting up new hires. It's not really a complaint, it's just hard to keep track. The reports themselves are good but it can be tricky to find the right one because so many of them look the same.

fantastic dedicated rep and service

Pros

I like having a dedicated rep who handles all my payroll and HRIs needs. The customer service is outstanding, my assigned rep, Christina amezola is absolutely fantastic and takes care of everything for me.

Cons

I think they could use more automation and chatbots in the payroll and HR workflow. There's a real chance to manage all those repetitive tasks that take up so much time. Those are just a few areas where I see some potential for improvement.

Great for basics but limited reports

Pros

It's so simple to view all our employees and their departments at a glance. Pulling up check stubs or updating contact info feels really efficient. Plus the support team is consistently helpful and gets back to me very fast!

Cons

Getting the right reports is tricky because you're stuck using only payroll runs or date ranges. It's hard to get reports for specific departments and finding the exact report you need is like looking for a needle in a haystack. I'd love a folder system to organize our reports instead of just one big alphabetical list. Also it's really frustrating that you can't fix someone's department after payroll runs. I get it's probably for legal reasons but having a way to correct it just for our own internal reports would make planning future payroll so much easier.

Impossible for our non-desk workforce

Pros

UI is really interactive for someone like me who manages it. I find submitting time-off requests pretty simple and enrolling in benefits is very easy.

Cons

It's tough for our older workers who mainly run machinery and aren't used to being on a laptop all day. The platform is confusing for them to navigate. Something as simple as checking their vacation balance or finding a message from us that needs a signature becomes a real hassle. Plus you can't even start onboarding to get your employee ID until all the backend stuff is finished first.

fantastic and always helpful service

Easy to use with great help

Top notch and easy for years

Pros
