“ideal for remote recognition

Pros

Earning gift cards and staying connected with colleagues even while working remotely are big pluses for me. Giving a public shout-out to a coworker is also really enjoyable. Plus the website feels secure and is very simple to navigate.

Cons

I wish there were more ways to accumulate points though that might partly depend on how my workplace manages it. Also it would be cool to have challenges like earning points just for logging in regularly or engaging with other people's posts.

Nectar is fantastic because it is such an effective tool for showing staff they are appreciated. This really helps motivate everyone to do their best work. It honestly does wonders for building team spirit, since we all like to be acknowledged every now and then.

Cons

There is genuinely nothing I have come across that I dislike about it. It is such a valuable resource for organizations to have.

Our team really values being able to spotlight positive actions and encourage everyone to aim for the same objectives. The best part is that this recognition is directly tied to meaningful rewards, with lots of different options for how to spend your points.

Cons

It does add another task to my list, requiring me to log in, write shout-outs and check out new options to earn points. I believe it is worth the time but it is another item on my daily or weekly to-do list.

The fact that it occasionally freezes up or crashes is not great. Also the mobile app sometimes does not adjust the screen properly when I am trying to submit a picture or some text.

I truly cannot think of anything I dislike about this tool. My only wish would be for the company merchandise option to return though I think thats a decision for our specific company, not the platform itself.

I am a fan of this tool because it gives leadership a simple way to express gratitude to each employee for their dedication and effort.

The company-branded merchandise was the least enjoyable part for me. As a lot of the clothing items felt cheaply made and the overall look was not very appealing.

They offer a huge variety of gift cards to choose from when you cash in your points. The service is excellent too and we get our rewards delivered to us very quickly.

Cons

Not really any complaints at all. Everything works well. As I have never had trouble receiving a gift card or a prepaid card and they serve as excellent motivators for the team.

The automatic login makes access seamless and the whole experience is very user-friendly. Attaching a picture or a file is no trouble at all as you just add it and hit send.

Cons

Every now and then uploading a file will cause the system to freeze or fail which has happened a few times. Thankfully it has not been a major ongoing issue.

That Shout-Outs feature which works like a team social media feed, is really important for creating an appreciative culture. Because the praise is out in the open for everyone to see, so it motivates everyone to celebrate each others work in a way that feels genuine and interactive.

During my time using the app I ran into a few glitches that made it hard to use my points. I am hoping the next round of updates can smooth these out to make everything more dependable and easier to use.

What stands out is how it actively promotes and facilitates employee engagement, along with recognizing both the team and individuals. And since it is so user friendly, getting staff on board and using it is really easy.

Cons

Nothing really comes to mind that I actively dislike about it. But what if the reward choices were broader? But it is not a major concern for me personally.

It is an excellent method for backing up your colleagues and there is a solid variety of rewards available to pick from. I am sure my coworkers and I all really value getting acknowledged through Nectar.

I think it would be great to see the gift card options grow! Plus having a way to get cards for more specialized stores that do not take the general Visa or Mastercard prepaid options would be awesome.

Earning points for good work and giving them to others is a highlight. Overall it is a fantastic way to feel valued yourself and to show others you see their efforts.

Having to write a public note explaining why we are giving someone points can sometimes feel a bit uncomfortable.

Honestly there is not much about it that bothers me. The only things were some outdated design problems on the mobile side but they have already resolved those.

I do sometimes run into problems when trying to log in. Also it would be a big help if the password reset emails arrived much faster than they currently do.

It is a simple yet powerful tool for rewarding your teammates and strengthening the sense of community within groups! Overall the whole experience is enjoyable, keeps you involved and comes with real rewards.

The overall look feels a bit plain and overly bright so I think having a dark mode or other color themes to choose from would be a nice improvement.

I do not actually have many criticisms. The software is easy to use and has a nice, clean look. And I am always reminding our staff to be sure they sign up for an account.
