“easy navigation & incredibly helpful support
Pros
as an HR assistant working across departments, I love how easy it is to navigate employee profiles and set things up as a new company. We have learned a lot from Paylocity's support which has been incredibly helpful in customizing the system to our needs.
Cons
There have been some glitches with our reporting and Lms system. While it took some time to sort out, they helped us find alternative options to get what we needed.

Pros
It works well for various HR tasks including tracking employee time, items and reviews. The basic timekeeping feature does its job effectively too.
Cons
Well they promised it would alert employees when it was time to take a lunch break based on when they clock in but in reality it does not do that.

“smooth to run payroll and benefits with it
Pros
Running payroll and managing benefits is very easy. I also like how easily the software connects with other systems and how responsive their team members are.
Cons
There are a lot of add-ons available and as a small company, it would be really helpful to have more guidance and examples from other small businesses about which ones we should be using.

Pros
It is very simple to navigate and find exactly what we need. We can easily sign in and out, make changes, access pay stubs, request time off and manage all your HR connections without any hassle.
Cons
everything is easy to use and there is nothing I dislike about it. some other apps do not allow for changes which makes this even better.

“powerful tool but let down by implementation team

The good thing about this tool is having everything in one place. It manages our recruiting, performance, time tracking, and even recognition programs, which keeps our HR process streamlined.
Cons
Unfortunately, implementation process has been awful. We signed up for it back in september 2024 and we are still not fully set up. The account managers regularly cancel meetings with us and half the time, they don't even notify us beforehand. We have asked for new account managers twice but the same issues keep happening. There is a serious lack of communication or care. I have been extremely dissatisfied with the implementation team. When we finally get a response, they ghost us. It's been a terrible experience and they really needs to improve in this area.

I love how easy Paylocity is to use. It provides all the reports and data we need and is a simple way to track time.
Cons
sometimes it is hard to find certain reports but most of the time, it is very simple and I can find what I need with just a few clicks.

Being able to check my account balances anytime was a huge benefit. also having the ability to download and view my pay stubs was a nice feature.
Cons
This app was great to work with , it really had all the features you'd want and I found it helpful for just about every task

Pros
I liked being able to view my hours worked and past paycheck details. The ability to track time using an app instead of doing it manually in the office was really convenient.
Cons
It is frustrating to have to pick job categories every shift, especially with so many options to scroll through. I feel like it would be much better to choose from a few saved options that apply to me.

The best feature is how simple the system is to use. also it is no hassle to get started with it and the reporting options are excellent.
Cons

Well the ability to clock in and out directly from my phone is the best. I can do it as soon as I get to work without waiting for a computer to start up.
Cons
The location feature is not always accurate, so I cannot always rely on it when using the app on my phone. It also glitches sometimes and shows the wrong status like displaying a clock-in as a clock-out. The phone app and the website work differently which makes it confusing to switch between them. also finding tax forms is more challenging than it should be and several HR modules do not save properly, so they always show up as incomplete.

I like that this software is an all-in-one platform that combines payroll, HR, benefits, time tracking, onboarding and talent management into one system. It reduces the need for multiple tools and is easy to navigate with its clean, modern design that works well for both HR teams and employees.
Cons
One downside to it is that it can be a bit overwhelming for new users. The system has many features and modules making it tough for some people to get the hang of it at first. additionally customer support can be inconsistent, with long wait times or difficulty reaching knowledgeable reps especially during busy periods.

as per me Paylocity is the most innovative and adaptable Human Capital management partner available today. They truly stand out from the competition.
Cons
The only issue I have had to manage is that a few users reported disconnections between clock-in and clock-out actions on the mobile app. some of these might have been due to user error or misinterpreting the UI prompts. However we documented some instances and shared them with the team and it seems the issue is now fully resolved.

It is an excellent tool for payroll management, learning management and employee time tracking all in one, setting up lessons is simple too and users can easily access training. I must say it out performs dedicated Lms solutions like Lessonly by far.
Cons
This tool's community forum is separate from our regular communication channels. It would be better if it could integrate with platforms like Teams or slack, so it's not another place we need to monitor.

I feel like it is really easy to use for checking my pay stubs, submitting time-off requests and even updating my insurance benefits.
Cons
In the beginning I had to navigate the website to figure out where to find my time-off requests and pay stubs. It is not completely user-friendly but with time and practice, I was able to understand it.

I love that this software allowed us to merge our HRIs and payroll systems. It also integrates with our ATS, benefits admin portal and 401k.
Cons
Navigating the platform can be tricky, everything is kept in separate portals and I noticed it is not easy to access information from employee to employee.

Paylocity HR & Payroll provides a great employee experience, is easy to navigate and is continually updated to stay ahead of the competition.
Cons
Customer service has been poor from an administrators perspective. There is no direct contact with different departments e.g Tax, Reporting, which leads to a lot of pass the message situations and wasted time. The dedicated customer service teams change frequently so it is hard to build a relationship, also it takes too long to make necessary software changes when issues arise.

It is a powerful system that covers many different aspects of our company.
Cons
A slight annoyance is the lack of connection between different sections. You'll update something in one place, but then have to re-enter it somewhere else because they don't sync up
