“useful day-to-day recruiting tool
Pros
I appreciate that the software mirrors how our company actually operates. Unlike one-size-fits-all CRMs or the clunky ATS packages that claim to be "for recruiters," PCR gives me, as a headhunter, an simple way to keep track of the relationships I've nurtured over many years. In my line of work I am selling, whether that's presenting opportunities to candidates or guiding a top-performing hire through placements at client companies and overseeing every step of that process.
Cons
For me it can be overly flexible which becomes a headache when rolling out different screen layouts across multiple offices. Training staff in several locations gets complicated because each site can be customized and I also find the custom report builder somewhat old-fashioned and difficult to pick up.

“great for managing databases
Pros
For me PCRecruiter has been simple to use and I really appreciate how well it links with Outlook and LinkedIn. Beyond the smooth Outlook and LinkedIn connectivity, the mobile interface is thoughtfully designed so I can comfortably browse and manage things while I'm out and about which I find extremely convenient.
Cons
Honestly I can't think of any real drawbacks, in my view PCR ranks among the top platforms out there and it delivers that quality at a price that feels very reasonable.

“reliable after all these years
Pros
Linking the software with Outlook, RingCentral, Monster, CareerBuilder and several other external services has seriously sped up how fast I work. The PCR Capture feature has made my researchers far more productive, now they concentrate on locating candidates instead of wasting time manually entering their details.
Cons
We began by using only about a quarter of what the system can do but once I let our tech person dig into it, the results were surprising. Our tracking, collaboration and overall efficiency have more than doubled and we've verified that by running the numbers.

“Excellent but not perfect
Pros
I really appreciate being able to personalize profiles and tweak the user interface, it's fantastic. The PCR team keeps rolling out updates and with each one I see the system improve.
Cons
Honestly there's nothing major I dislike. I just wish the interface felt a bit more visually appealing or offered options to change color schemes for my personal taste.

Completely configurable. I find that users who have it installed correctly and trained from the start really adore it.
Cons
I can customize it but only when I already know exactly what I need and can explain those needs to a tech person. Because it's not very simple, during setup they asked me what I wanted, yet having never used it before I couldn't really describe my requirements clearly.

Personally I find the interface very easy and simple, I didn't need months of training to be productive.
Cons
I sometimes find a few reporting features tricky to interpret and use although there are walkthrough videos available that helped me get up to speed.

“Does what you need it to do
Pros
Overall I found it pretty easy to get the hang of. The Windows-based desktop plus a mobile app is a major upgrade from what we used before. Whenever I need help, customer support has been very responsive and helpful. I'm convinced there are additional features I haven't explored that could boost my efficiency further. It runs reliably without crashing which is crucial for the kind of work we do.
Cons
The email feature feels dated and is really awkward to use when I try to send a mass message. I wish the mobile app could handle several more essential tasks.

“switching was easier than expected
Pros
After relying on the same software for 17 years I was definitely hesitant about making a switch. To my surprise PCR felt very user-friendly and the transition turned out to be simple. What I love most is how customizable it is.
Cons
There are a handful of things I'd like to change that are hard-coded so I can't modify them which is frustrating at times but on the whole we really love the software.

What I love most about PCR is that it keeps all my interactions centralized so I no longer have to stash notes in one app, book meetings in another, or copy and paste details pulled from sites like LinkedIn, PCR organizes everything and makes my workflow so much easier.
Cons
Occasionally I notice the software freezes while it's trying to update candidate profiles from LinkedIn which interrupts my flow.

I find the software consolidates files and keeps track of emails efficiently.
Cons
Honestly the app feels very bare-bones when it comes to features. For example, when I send messages from PCR, those outbound emails don't show up as tracked in my personal email account which is frustrating, whereas inbound messages do get tracked properly. On occasion the whole system also runs a bit sluggish which interrupts my workflow.

Cons
I'd love for all currently active people to be visible, at the moment it only displays around ten or so which makes it harder for me to find everyone I need.

I think it's incredibly simple to use. I've seen other tracking systems overcomplicate candidate pipeline visibility with unnecessary bells and whistles but this one keeps it clean. I can get PCR done with a single button press, I literally click once and it's finished.
Cons
I do notice frequent updates which can be a bit much but with how quickly the industry and tech evolve these days, I understand they're necessary.

Pros
Being able to access it via Microsoft's portal is a huge plus for me because I don't have to jump between apps anymore. I also find importing resumes simple, there are plenty of fields to keep information organized and running searches is very simple.
Cons
Honestly I'm not a fan of how resumes get converted in PCR, I frequently struggle to edit them afterward. Sometimes a resume imports without any issue, while others refuse to come in cleanly. I also notice duplicates get added to the system far too often. On my phone the capabilities are very limited so I can't do much from mobile. Additionally, creating roll-ups and doing mail merges is not simple for me.

I've found the software really simple to use, it required some upfront learning like any other tool but after that I'm able to quickly locate exactly what I'm searching for with ease.
Cons
For me the part that isn't as user-friendly is the filtering, I still get search results cluttered with items I really don't need but apart from that, the rest of the app works wonderfully overall.

The interface feels well-designed and packed with features, all presented in an easy-to-access, informative layout that makes navigation simple.
Cons
I do find there's a bit of a learning curve and sometimes I'm worried I could modify a record and not immediately know how to revert that change. It would help if a stronger validation or confirmation layer were in place so duplicate name records are less likely to be loaded by accident, having clearer safeguards would reduce those occasional mistakes.

I'm able to tailor it extensively and I find customer support absolutely unmatched, I also love that new features are pushed out constantly.
Cons
