flexible hiring hub that delivers real value

Pros

We're big fans of Pinpoint. The platform has given our teams, managers and potential hires a brilliant hub to work from. It's super flexible so we can tweak settings to suit our processes and roll with changes as they happen. It also surfaces data we didn't have before which lets us plan recruitment more strategically. The automated tools cut down on manual admin and free the team to focus on candidates. The Pinpoint support crew are quick to respond and helpful when we suggest changes. Overall it's genuinely brought a lot of value to our organisation.

Cons

Nothing major comes to mind right now. There are a handful of features that could use some tweaks but we're confident they'll arrive thanks to our ongoing feedback and the work we do with the team.

Should stop with frequent updates

Pros

Connecting to job boards was effortless so posting roles and going through candidate CVs was easy.

Cons

It was updated a lot which made maintaining a steady workflow hard. When we used it there weren't the AI tools other vendors offered. Also the account manager seemed absent, not sure we had one though support did act fast when problems came up.

Simple for everyone

Pros

Pinpoint is super easy to use. The layout makes sense so both hiring managers and applicants can find their way around without fuss. Being able to keep clear contact with candidates inside the ATS helped us move quicker and secure top people.

Cons

It'd be handy to switch from one candidate to another more quickly, maybe add a forward arrow so you can jump to the next candidate in the pile?

great scheduling buried in complexity

Pros

The scheduler works really well, you can create booking links so applicants can pick times with several interviewers at once. For example they offer four time options and it will match them with two interviewers who are free. Also lets you feature hiring manager bios and lay out the interview steps right on the careers page.

Cons

Would be great to view candidates from multiple openings on a single screen, at the moment it's not easy to see someone across several jobs. Some parts of the user interface are confusing, it's easy to lose track of what needs changing and where and a lot can't be adjusted quickly in the moment. For example, to build an interview workflow you must create an interview template, an email template and a scorecard but oddly you really need to finish the interview template last even though it seems like it should be the main one. There are also email sections you can't change, the system pulls copy from another field in the interview template so if you want to alter that you have to exit, open templates, edit the template and start over. Even after that some pieces remain completely non-editable. Candidate notes and messages are locked to a specific job so hiring managers reviewing someone for their vacancy won't see earlier feedback or notes unless they first go into "other applications." Managers often miss context because the product doesn't support instinctive navigation. Reporting looked promising in the demo but is missing some key metrics, you have to hack progression rates between stages to track them and they're not as easy to find as in other ATS products. Automation capabilities are limited right now, with few triggers for connecting to Zapier. They have fixed some confusing choices (candidates used to have email fields split by job) but overall new features seem to be released more slowly than other ATS I've worked with.

clean design that keeps improving

Pros

Top three things we like most about Pinpoint. #1 Its clean, visual layout and how simple it is to use. You can tweak the workflow to suit your needs and it never feels like an outdated 1990s app while doing so. #2 The support team is excellent. As the company grows we meet new people and everyone stays really helpful and quick to respond. #3 The platform keeps getting better. They frequently push improvements and new features which we really enjoy.

Cons

There are a few limitations but the team is constantly releasing updates to tackle them and make the platform easier to use and more tailored to each user's needs.

beautiful ats that creates a difference

Pros

How do you even begin? Easy to use? Reasonably priced? Fantastic customer support? Lovely UX? When looking for an ATS for our company, we were almost set on using one I'd used before but then an ad for Pinpoint popped up and we figured, why not? So glad we did. Not only did they offer everything the other ATS did, their functions were better and there were more of them. The user interface is beautiful and the pricing made the decision simple. Really happy we took that chance. After working with several ATSs over my career, this solution by far leaves the competition behind.

Cons

Honestly there's not much to complain about. Any question, problem, or idea I've raised has been handled, rolled out, or updated. Their support is excellent and it's clear Pinpoint listens to users. Every time we've reached out they've been quick to respond and often implemented changes. The one area that could use improvement is interview scheduling. Specifically, it would be great to view more details about an upcoming interview right in the calendar instead of only seeing "Interview for X Job Scheduled" with a link. That's already been passed along to the team.

Pros

The setup was incredibly easy and it was simple to demo across the business, everyone's commented on how much it's improved our processes already. easy adoption but not really flexible

Pros

The platform is simplely easy to use and looks great. Its interface is tidy and navigation is easy. We've not encountered a reluctant manager during training or demos, they're all keen to adopt the system and collaborate with it rather than fight it which makes the whole recruitment process much less painful and a more positive experience for everyone.

Cons

There are some limits around design flexibility and pulling reports although I expect these will evolve over time. It's been valuable to be involved early on to help shape PinPoint with user-driven suggestions like adding a "withdrawn" option to candidate applications. The team listens to feedback and tries to implement changes to make our tasks easier. That said, the chat feature isn't always suitable for formal requests. Live chat is handy for quick queries but when used frequently it's hard to find past requests or conversations and chats can sometimes be missed by PinPoint. I'd recommend formal requests such as social adverts or system enhancements be handled via email so there's an audit trail, whether that's built into PinPoint or done through Outlook. Adding that functionality would streamline things, you could email the team the same way you would a candidate.

A little glitchy scheduling

Pros

We're fairly new to Pinpoint but already spot its promise. Over the next year we want to cut down on using recruitment agencies where we can and grow our own talent pool so we can handle hiring internally. It's handy that candidates can apply speculatively when there aren't open roles and Pinpoint takes care of GDPR compliance. Customer support has been top-notch!

Cons

Setting up interviews through the system can be a bit time-consuming and fiddly for Line Managers. Right now it seems quicker to check Outlook calendars and send invites the usual way. To be fair we haven't really used that feature yet so it's just a preliminary impression.

efficient for recruitment

Pros

Pinpoint is brilliantly easy, almost embarrassingly efficient and has saved us a ton of time and effort. It tackles every recruitment pain point we used to face. With a distributed remote team across multiple sites, having a central place to handle applications and keep all candidate information collaborative and GDPR-safe is invaluable and that's just the beginning. We get a lot of speculative applications and CVs which used to be tricky to manage in terms of time, compliance and not losing sight of great prospects. The candidate pipeline has become our most valuable feature something we didn't even realise we needed until we started using it. What's striking is how much passion the team brings to the service. There's usually lots of contact pre-sale but support often dries up after sign-up. not here. Pinpoint feels like buying into both software and a people-first support system. It's service combined with a platform not just a product. If you're used to older or more established HR tools, this is a refreshing change. It genuinely stands apart from the rest.

Cons

Haven't come across any real negatives so far. A couple of minor things like layout quirks have come up but a chat with the Pinpoint team either clarified them or resulted in a scheduled fix.

Pros

I think Pinpoint is incredibly easy to use and the dashboard lets you quickly get a high-level snapshot of open roles and their management details. It's fast to find a candidate's current status and communication plus interview bookings are handled in one place. The applicant portal is simple for our team to update and gives us control over what candidates see, for example job descriptions. The system also keeps candidate data safe. recruitment automation

Pros

Using this software has been really simple, I only needed minimal training to get going. Whenever I have questions, the pinpoint team are quick to respond and always ready to help. I find the dashboard home screen really handy because it lets me view all my open positions and the number of applicants at a glance. Also, the automatic emails and templates have significantly reduced the time I spend on administrative tasks during recruitment.

Cons

When I'm managing several open positions at once it would make my life easier if, when I set my availability for interviews on a given day I could send the same set of time slots to every candidate instead of linking those slots to a single vacancy. That would be especially helpful when the hiring team handling those roles doesn't change.

a thorough industry leading platform

Pros

Having used Pinpoint, I'm still genuinely impressed by how simple it is to use while delivering dependable, high-quality performance across the platform. Their customer service and support consistently stand out and that level of reliability is a major advantage for our business operations. I particularly value their fresh, thoughtful approach to recruitment and team-building, which matches the way we're intentionally moving our company forward. That alignment matters a lot because our head office is located where the local talent pool is quite limited.

The future of strategic recruitment...

Pros

After investing many years and a large amount of OpEx using recruitment agencies to find people with the right skills and cultural fit for our company, I've found Pinpoint to be a refreshing, game-changing take on hiring that puts candidates front and centre. In doing so it reveals people who might otherwise stay with their current employer and it essentially automates headhunting at a fraction of the traditional cost.

Cons

Because it depends on candidates being active on online channels like social media to work best, I find it can miss very senior or computer-averse people who could still be strong contenders for certain roles. That said, in my experience this group represents only a tiny slice of the talent pool and will likely shrink over time as digital adoption increases globally.

streamlined and time saving hiring

Pros

As a team, we now have a single place to handle our recruitment and we've cut down a massive amount of email admin. The support and implementation were fantastic. Our CSR has backed the team hugely and still does and the email tips on our adverts help keep us focused. The added photoshoot was a brilliant extra.

Cons

I'd really like an easy way to report the split between agency hires and direct applicants, we're still relying on agencies at the moment and are hoping to wean off them. so while that transition is happening this kind of reporting would really help our internal metrics and make comparisons much clearer.

pleasure to work with their support team

Pros

Using it has been easy and it clearly lays out all the information about the ads we're running. I find the interface very user-friendly. What's great is that this tool genuinely supports our company's recruitment needs and honestly I can't stand having to deal with recruitment agencies.

Cons

The main drawback I ran into was that setting up Facebook Ads Manager took a lot longer and felt quite complicated. I know that's an issue with Facebook's process rather than anything wrong with the PinPoint software itself.

cuts down our time of writing letters

Pros

I'm relatively new to using Pinpoint, yet I genuinely find it extremely user-friendly and it saves me a tremendous amount of time when I'm creating letters and similar documents.

Cons

At the moment I can't think of any drawbacks to mention.

massive improvement in our recruitment process

Pros

I've found the software really user-friendly and a huge step up from the old, email-based way we handled recruitment. It's compliant with GDPR, which I appreciate and it empowers candidates by giving them clear control over their own personal data throughout the hiring process.

Cons

We didn't really have any major complaints. there was an initial learning curve, but the platform is mostly really simple to use and we're regularly receiving messages about new improvements and system updates.

best face-to-face support

Pros

Pinpoint is easy to navigate, really user-friendly and gives off a very polished, high-end professional look. I've experienced excellent customer support and practical advice from the team. The Pinpoint software was instrumental in getting our new business off the ground, helping us run social media advertising, create easy-to-use links and maintain a streamlined application process. We ended up hiring more staff than I anticipated. when applicant numbers were low at first, Pinpoint's support offered advice, face-to-face help, guidance and useful tips to improve our applications, and it genuinely worked. I don't think we could have scaled this quickly without their help.

Cons

Honestly I can't find any real fault with this software; it only takes a short time to learn to navigate even for those with limited experience in software and IT. Once you become familiar with its features, it quickly becomes an invaluable tool for recruitment making the whole hiring process much more efficient and reliable.
