Integration causes scheduling confusion

Pros

Overall the platform feels user-friendly to me and I can easily navigate it while I also find uploading journal entries and memorized transactions far better than our old system.

Cons

We use the Toast POS integration and our biggest frustration now is that job codes from Toast only populate an employee's profile in this scheduling tool after they clock in using that code. It feels backwards because staff are assigned a job code at the time they are scheduled, not after they've started working. This mismatch causes confusion for managers building accurate schedules. Also I wish the notes functionality would allow entries to be linked to an email address so an email notification is triggered. Since that option doesn't exist we've continued using our old notes system.

simple commissary order management

Pros

The commissary order tool stands out most to me and I appreciate how it lets me quickly check past orders and dates.

Cons

I don't find the interface very convenient.. while the minimal layout is appealing I've noticed it can be tricky for people I've trained to move through the app.

All-in-one operational platform

Pros

I used to bounce between different tools just to manage clients, track time and handle invoices and it got exhausting pretty fast. Now I don't have to juggle multiple logins or worry about things falling through the cracks. It's all right there.... organized and simple. I'm so glad I made the switch.

Cons

For a small restaurant the yearly subscription ends up being a little too expensive for my operation.

easy navigation and transaction visibility

Pros

From my perspective the menus are very easy to navigate and I can view every transaction without confusion.

Cons

I notice inventory entries sometimes take a bit longer than expected to be recorded.

Broken promises and poor onboarding

Pros

To reduce costs and manage accounting, I used to rely on this tool and I found the third-party implementation team helpful.

Cons

For me the customer service experience started and finished with the sales team and they made a number of promises that didn't pan out. I've found incorrect billing dates and cycles, plus bank connection problems that I brought up during the sales call and was assured wouldn't be an issue but they turned out to be significant. There was no one overseeing onboarding. AP payments didn't begin until five weeks after our go-live. I've opened multiple "tickets" that remain unresolved and I have had no direct way to speak with someone to get my problems fixed.

Disappointing setup and startup support

Pros

When reviewing finances I can drill down into individual transactions easily which helps me understand details quickly.

Cons

Aside from that most other features disappointed me particularly their startup support, setting up budgets felt like an afterthought and took a lot of time.

Overcomplicated accounting and onboarding

Pros

Although I really like the range of features I do find the learning curve steep but I appreciate that it's cloud-based and that support responds quickly.

Cons

Honestly the basic accounting features should be far easier to set up and follow a more conventional structure, things like P&L, balance sheets, customer statements and the chart of accounts need a standard layout. There ought to be a default template you can customize for each business. We've never managed to use many of the extra features because they're hard to figure out and we're still struggling to clear bank items. Fixes always seem to cost extra and the onboarding felt excessive, too much information at once and very cluttered.

unified platform with limited POs depth

Pros

Having all companies on one platform simplifies money movement for me and I appreciate that though I've noticed POS integrations like Toast feel limited.

Cons

I'm not a fan of the 'submit improvement' process, it feels tough and like it disappears into a void and unless I actively push and promote my suggestion, it never gains traction.

unreliable system with weak support

Pros

While I liked was that in theory the platform should've integrated with multiple vendors.... I found only two of those integrations truly useful in practice.

Cons

For me the system felt overly complex and customer support was virtually non-existent I had to submit tickets and wait days for problems to be addressed and many issues were never fixed. The app also crashes and frequently malfunctions.

comprehensive restaurant management suite

Pros

As an all-in-one solution I see value in having AP, AR, bank reconciliations, GL, HR, inventory and reporting all together.

Cons

As far as I can tell there aren't any drawbacks right now. Deployments can be lengthy because of testing and customization.

secure platform for long-term use

Pros

From a security standpoint, I've always felt safe making purchases here and I trust it for long-term use.

Cons

Sometimes I miss perks such as free shipping and a bigger selection of candies and delivery can take an annoyingly long time on occasion.

Lengthy setup with inconsistent support

Pros

During setup I experienced serious issues where I felt the process was a waste of money due to constant glitches and requests for additional payments.

Cons

The setup process is both lengthy and complicated and their instructors aren't the most patient or effective. I noticed they become annoyed when I'm unfamiliar with the finer points of a platform that often doesn't work as expected. On top of that, there seems to be high staff turnover so I never end up dealing with the same support people twice.

Powerful reporting and analytics

Pros

For analysis work, I can drill into highly detailed data and I find the reporting and analytics features very great.

Cons

Honestly I struggle with the clunky interface and the software offers almost no in-app guidance to help me find what I need unless I already know where to look.

Industry-specific restaurant solution

Pros

Based on my experience, I've found this tool congreatates nearly everything a restaurant needs and I appreciate that it's industry-specific with fast, efficient support.

Cons

Compared to the previous platform we used, I find this one less user-friendly overall. Generating the reports we were accustomed to has been somewhat harder and the scheduling module doesn't include a few staff notification options we relied on for shift changes. The product is clearly evolving and adding features so I plan to keep learning it in greater detail so we can eventually make full use of everything it provides.

easy inventory and vendor management

Pros

After I finish configuring it for my specific location, managing inventory and vendor orders becomes remarkably easy, I can spot trouble spots fast and handle them without much hassle.

Cons

The setup took me an enormous amount of time and I felt the benefits are costly enough that I truly paid for what it delivers.

simplified multi-location accounting

Pros

This platform has completely transformed how we handle restaurant accounting and I can now track finances easily while clearly seeing how each location performs.

Cons

At first it felt a little awkward to use, however the customer support team were so friendly and helpful that they guided us through everything.

stress-free financial operations

Pros

For our team the software has made every financial transaction feel stress-free and I can monitor safe counts, add notes in the Manager Log and rely on automatic AP grouping that saves a lot of time.

Cons

I honestly haven't run into any major problems with this software. The only real challenge for me was the initial setup, having to input all of our regular products took the most time and effort. Once that bulk entry was finished, everything settled down and I've found the program to be consistently smooth, convenient and easy to use in day-to-day operations.

simple interface with fast training

Pros

From my experience, the interface feels convenient and easy to work in and I noticed training took very little time even for new hires.

Cons

Honestly I didn't run into any significant issues with the software that demanded major updates. On the rare occasions there were hiccups, they were usually caused by our internal setup rather than the program itself.

Recurring bugs and missing audit trail

Pros

Overall the software felt simple to use and I appreciated how smoothly it connected to accounting, operations, inventory and recipe costing.

Cons

Unfortunately the product has felt unreliable to me over time because we keep finding the same bugs that seem fixed only temporarily and then reappear after system updates. Support interactions have become increasingly distant and slow and I'm particularly concerned by the absence of an audit trail feature to log and trace changes or accounting transactions within the system.
