easy navigation with responsive support

Pros

What I appreciated most was that the platform was incredibly easy to navigate, how quickly the selection happened and how responsive the support team remained. It's obvious they stay focused on ongoing improvements

Cons

Every so often I notice a lack of additional capabilities that would make the service more all-encompassing but I can see they're continually working on enhancements so I'm confident this issue will be sorted out soon.

Great for efficient first-round interviews

Pros

Spark Hire is my go-to screening tool for first-round interviews. It enables me to quickly assess candidates' computer literacy, communication skills, ability to meet deadlines, and get an initial sense of their background and skills before investing time in setting up an interview that may not be worthwhile for either party. The "live" audio/visual interaction with candidates is available within seconds, saving valuable time. As a result, in-person interviews with candidates who progress to that stage can be more productive because we've already covered some basics in the Spark Hire interview.

Cons

I have no major complaints about this software. It's user-friendly and allows for quick candidate sorting.

limited product with poor support

Pros

nothing positive, we were sold this tool even though the seller knew it wouldn't meet the specific needs we had for our solution/use.

Cons

Honestly the product is extremely limited and the customer support seemed powerless to actually resolve our issues.

structured initial interview process

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is that this tool puts all candidates on an equal footing for the initial interview stage. Since candidates don't receive the verbal or nonverbal cues they would on Zoom, phone, or in-person meetings, the interview feels far more structured than our later-stage alternatives.

Cons

I've found that looking up past candidates and interviews has gotten more tough.

simple and easy video interviews

Pros

I've found this tool to be incredibly convenient and easy to use making it simple for my team to arrange and oversee our video interviews. Its built-in scoring features are particularly helpful and let us capture the honest perspectives of the entire interviewing panel.

Cons

We rarely run into technical issues but when they occur they can disrupt the process significantly. Occasionally candidates are unable to log in and there doesn't seem to be any clear user error which creates frustrating delays and extra troubleshooting for our staff.

Easy setup for one-way interviews

Pros

It's easy to set up and tweak to our needs and I really appreciate that the one-way video interview option acts as an additional screening step which saves our recruiting team a huge amount of time.

Cons

At first I found the experience somewhat robotic and a little unfamiliar but I was able to personalize many settings and that flexibility to make interactions feel more human is a definite benefit.

It's simple to use and ties into our ATS smoothly. We can rate interviews and log reason codes and it saves us recruiting time by allowing us to send pre-recorded links with chosen questions.

Cons

Time-saving video recordings

Pros

My team and I were able to save significant time and effort which let us get through more work than we did in past years. It also made it easy for me to bring the entire staff into the selection process. All sessions are recorded so whenever we find an issue with a case, we can replay the video recording to study that situation closely.

Cons

At the moment I don't have any negatives to report. Honestly I really love this tool and can't think of anything to criticize right now.

Efficient screening workflow

Pros

Having this as a core part of our screening workflow has been fantastic, it's eliminated the hours we used to spend doing in-person interviews with applicants who clearly weren't a match for certain positions so we've saved a lot of time. It also accelerates how quickly candidates reach the hiring manager. On top of that, the videos are an excellent internal selling point for us when advocating for candidates.

Cons

I'd like an avatar feature, it's the one thing that competing vendors include that this platform currently lacks and that omission stands out to me.

shortened interview process

I appreciate that it shortens the interview workflow and I really enjoy the video messaging plus the calendar features. The onboarding and support have been excellent!

Cons

For me it feels strange that you have to assemble a question set in the dedicated question-set section, yet you're allowed to modify those same questions from inside the interview area. That inconsistency gave me a few headaches although I eventually worked through them.

Effective and simple workflow

Pros

this application has genuinely improved how effective and efficient our interview workflow is. By running our initial interviews through this platform, we are able to spend considerably more time focusing on the candidates that we want to advance and correspondingly less time on the early interview process. the interface is easy and convenient for administrators and candidates alike so onboarding is very quick. Also since the recorded video interviews are saved in the system, I can share those recordings with members of our Leadership Team which helps the group discuss and coordinate feedback about the applicants.

Cons

Overall I do not have any complaints about this tool and feel satisfied using it.

Pros

I've found the one-way video feature really trims down time spent on live phone calls and it lets me quickly pass on instant responses to people on our team without any hassle!

Cons

What I really appreciate is the interview question library and the flexibility I have to customize interviews for different roles.

Helpful one-way video setup

Pros

Setting up a one-way video interview with candidates has been really helpful for me, it gives a clearer sense of who they are. I also appreciate that I can easily add the right kind of questions because that lets me hear their thoughts and understand what they're looking for in their next move.

Cons

Pros

For our team, this tool works exceptionally well for both junior-level openings and senior roles. We rely on it for large-scale hiring as well as for niche, specialised positions and its features cover the needs for both recruitment types. The personalised support is excellent, our dedicated support rep is responsive and always ready to tackle any question we throw at them.

Cons

When the software was first adopted I noticed panel interviews weren't available though I understand that feature has since been added and aside from that I can't point to many faults because it meets our needs well.

Pros

As an administrator I find the platform very user-friendly and convenient. I can easily set up the questions, walk candidates through the whole process step-by-step and then share a link that hiring managers can access.

Cons

At times I've noticed that when the completion link is sent directly from the tool, candidates assume it's spam or it lands in junk folders which means I spend extra time following up.

Pros

I'm finding this platform incredibly easy to use and it gives me a great shared space to collaborate with everyone involved in hiring, while cutting down the time we usually spend on the process. faster hiring with scheduling

Pros

Using the scheduling feature has shaved days off our interview process and as a result we managed to hire for a role about two weeks sooner than usual which made it possible for us to keep that employee.

Cons

In daily collaboration I'd really appreciate stronger features for private notes and easier note sharing, as I find the current options limited and I'd also like the ability to upload multiple file types per candidate without extra steps.
