Core part of our business

Pros

It started out as a way for me to check where my time was going each day but Time Doctor has since become a core part of how we run the business. We're now planning to roll it out to the whole team, not just senior staff. The tool is simple, dependable and has a really clean interface. It covers everything we need too, screenshots, project assignment, data exports and plenty more.

Cons

Time Doctor really covers all our requirements so I don't have any real complaints. The interface is user-friendly, it gives helpful prompts so it's hard to forget to use and the pricing feels fair as well.

Convenient time tracking for teams

Pros

Time tracking has been really simple for my teammates which has made using the platform much easier on their side.

Cons

From the admin side, the interface feels a little more complicated than it probably needs to be so there's definitely room for improvement. I've also noticed a few minor performance hiccups but they've been small enough that I can't really complain much.

Real-time insights and fast rollout

Pros

Setup was simple and the rollout and adoption happened pretty quickly. The real-time visibility, including screenshots, makes it clear what project teams are working on and the cost analysis by resource or project is very useful as well.

Cons

At times, the software can be perceived as a "spying" tool which may create the wrong impression.

Helpful work reminders

Pros

One thing that's really useful is how it reminds me automatically during breaks so I don't have to keep thinking about stopping the timer myself. If I open YouTube or Facebook, it asks whether I'm still working which is actually very helpful. It also catches those moments when I start working and forget to click "start work," and then TeamViewer prompts me about it. That kind of reminder system makes it a lot more convenient to use.

Cons

From time to time, Time Doctor crashes on Ubuntu which is frustrating. The GitHub issues also don't always refresh properly so to see newly updated issues I have to disable the GitHub integration and then enable it again.

Practical solution

Pros

Using this software has been very practical for my work. It solved my issue with tracking hours and monitoring the activities that were completed.

Project sorting that fits perfectly

Pros

Being able to organize everything by project and date range is exactly what I need. As a freelance graphic designer, this covers pretty much everything I want in a time-tracking app. I also really appreciate the reminders to start the timer, plus the way it checks whether I was taking a break if I've been inactive.

Cons

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about Time Doctor. It works perfectly for what I need.

hassle-free tracking

Pros

Using it feels a lot like Upwork, just without all the extra bureaucracy and hassle. The interface is simple and the reporting features are one of the best parts.

Cons

Every now and then a JavaScript bug or error shows up, although the platform still works fine overall. I'd also prefer billing to be based only on the total number of employees active during the month, instead of being charged separately for someone who leaves after a couple of days and gets replaced.

Best tool I've ever used

Pros

A friend recommended this to me and it has turned out to be the best tool I've used for monitoring how employees spend their time. I also rely on it to show clients exactly what was completed during the hours we charge them for. It tracks which apps are being used and the screenshot feature is especially helpful because it also gives employees a better understanding of how to manage their time more effectively.

Cons

Honestly I have nothing to complain about with Time Doctor.

Well-organized and efficient tracking

Pros

Everything is laid out, grouped and designed really well. As a project manager, this has been very useful for tracking time across my whole team and making the overall process much more efficient.

Strongly recommend it

Pros

This software has been really helpful for tracking my time accurately and the API integration with my application works well. I'd definitely recommend it.

Cons

One thing that could be better is support for more up-to-date Fedora Linux packages especially for Fedora 25 and 26.

Amazing weekly inactivity percentage reports

Pros

The screenshot capture, website tracking, auto-pause when someone is inactive and the weekly inactivity percentage reports are all really useful features.

Cons

The only downside is that the software has to be installed on every team member's system :). Aside from that, everything has been good so far.

Keeps my team alert

Pros

It really keeps my team alert and focused. Being able to review screenshots is especially useful because I can quickly tell when someone is heading in the wrong direction and step in sooner.

Cons

The UI/UX could definitely use an update. The interface feels pretty old-school, although it still gets the job done.

Efficient for calculating salaries

Pros

Out of all the tools I've used, this one has been the most efficient for tracking employee hours and calculating salaries. It works quickly, feels simple to use and the interface includes everything needed in one comprehensive setup.

Cons

One thing that could use some attention is the design since it feels a little outdated and could definitely be refreshed. I'm also not sure whether there's an App Store version available and that's something worth considering. Still, that's just my personal view.

Pros

Pros

Logging my time is simple and I can go back and adjust entries whenever needed which is really helpful.
