Useful feedback on how I'm managing my time

Pros

Time Doctor helps me track my activity and how much time I spend on different websites or programs. I love this feature because it gives me useful feedback on how I'm managing my time which helps me improve.

Cons

It would be great if Time Doctor had some kind of alarm or sound when the window pops up after a break is over. sometimes, I'm not at my computer when the break ends and have to rely on my phone's timer instead.

accurate time tracking

Pros

It's very accurate for tracking time. Plus, editing time is so easy with the approval system in place. It's reliable and really efficient.

Cons

The time tracking feature expires every 15 minutes if there's no activity which can be a little annoying if you forget to interact with the computer for a while.

Notifies me when I am inactive

Pros

I really like being able to track my time by project and I love that Time Doctor takes screenshots at random intervals. The best part is that it notifies me when I'm inactive, which helps me stay on track.

Cons

It is a really userfriendly app that lets you track time no matter where you are. You can track by job or by task which is super helpful. Plus, it takes screenshots for employees to verify that they're actually working on the task at hand. It's a great way to ensure productivity!

Cons

Excellent for productivity visibility

Pros

I am really impressed with the comprehensive tracking capabilities that give me excellent visibility into team productivity. Being able to monitor total hours, productive vs unproductive time and idle periods has been incredibly useful. Sure, I don't stress over minor inconsistencies since we're all human but it's caught some major discrepancies I never would've found otherwise. The transparency has made our reporting and invoicing so much more precise.

Cons

only downside is that we ran into some hiccups with a few features and billing initially but honestly the support team jumped right in to help sort everything out.

It keeps me accountable by showing when I'm actually working versus when I'm idle. The ability to pause the timer for personal tasks is super convenient and helps me manage my day better.

Cons

The timer doesn't properly track when I switch between windows and it stays active on just one window instead of following where I'm actually working. If they could fix this, our managers would get much more accurate data about what we're really doing.

The billing is unfair!!!

Pros

It works for our basic requirements and made a solid first impression.

Cons

billing system is a nightmare if you have shared computers. We monitor about half our 80 employees but whenever someone we dont want tracked logs into a monitored machine, we get automatically charged for the full billing period. Support kept going on about SID's and user provisioning through Azure or Active Directory but none of that actually matters. All our users are unique and we only want specific ones monitored. The software installs for "All Users" instead of just the person who installed it and terrible design choice. They absolutely refuse refunds even when you never authorized monitoring for those users. Bottom line: you can't share computers with this product without getting hit with extra charges. I'm already out $400 in unexpected fees. We're done with this service and I'd strongly advise others to stay away.

The platform excels at providing detailed, real-time visibility into employee activity. The time tracking itself is very simple for employees to use and the reporting is flexible and powerful. Managers get excellent insights into productivity, including which sites and applications are being used, without needing to micromanage

Cons

the administrative side can be complex. Setting up and coordinating the time tracking between managers and staff is often exhausting, involving a lot of back-and-forth just to assign tasks for payroll. The platform can also be buggy, the automatic tracking sometimes activates against user settings and team members occasionally need specific app versions installed to resolve issues that shouldn't exist.

Great for client tracking

Pros

I've been using this for nearly 2 years and it's made me much more efficient when working with clients. It's really helpful for tracking exactly how much time I've spent on specific clients or tasks. It's also perfect for keeping tabs on employees who aren't in the office or are working remotely a few days a week.

Cons

Perfect for working from home

Cons

Time Doctor has been excellent for our remote team, we can easily track work hours, idle time and other important metrics. The interface is user friendly and finding reports or features is simple. Their support team deserves special mention as they're responsive and consistently go the extra mile to ensure we're well taken care of. Setting up our entire company was surprisingly smooth and effort free.

Cons

We had some problems before where reports would export while the data was still loading, giving us incomplete files. Support was really helpful though and added a loading bar to fix this issue.
