“Essential management reports for organization
Pros
Hands down the feature I rely on most in CASEpeer is the management reports I can run. I use them to self-audit and keep my caseload organized, tracking files by when they were last touched, client contact, high-rated matters and other criteria. Those reports make it effortless for me to follow up on every file and ensure I am addressing things in a timely, consistent way.
Cons
What frustrates me most is the notes area and the overall interface of CASEpeer. I end up clicking through a lot of tabs and every action seems to trigger a refresh I get that it is a web app but it is still inconvenient. The notes themselves are cluttered and hard to read and emails embedded in notes are particularly awful. I cannot open emails the way I could in programs like Client Profiles, so it is difficult for me to see the information I saved to a file via email.

“High-level case overview for oversight
Pros
From my perspective, it gives a high-level overview of every case so nothing slips through the cracks and I am also able to oversee and manage my staff directly through the platform.
Cons
I'd really like the addition of bulk messaging features and automated text messaging to streamline communication.

“Tracks all case files effortlessly
Pros
The thing I really like is that the system lets me track each client's case file and attach notes, photos, documents and more.
Cons
One drawback I found is that during intake I cannot add a driver's license until I have saved the record first.

“Essential medical records tracking
Pros
What I like most is the medical records tab because it lets me keep track of providers and the amounts billed.
Cons
I find that whenever I pull up a comment to share, I have to submit it almost immediately because the post vanishes if I take too long.

“The best program in four decades
Pros
I have been using case management software since it first became available to law firms and in all of my forty years of trial practice Casepeer is the best program I have used.
Cons
My suggestion is to add the ability to reindex and reorganize documents within the Documents tab.

“Everything at hand, integration headaches
Pros
I really appreciate having everything about our client and their case immediately at hand. I can see their medical treatment, track when records were requested and received and know when litigation documents were sent and when they're due. I also enjoy using the litigation event plans and I find the auto-generated letters and tasks that populate automatically when statuses change to be very helpful.
Cons
One thing I wish were different is that the advanced search button sat up in the top bar next to the regular search field as we end up having to search by court file number so often that it is annoying to have to fake a search to trigger the no results error just so the advanced search option becomes available. I would also love it if tasks could be set up as parent/child relationships. For instance, if I create a task to send out a document, when that task is marked complete it should automatically populate the response-received date a set number of days or weeks later. Our previous CMS did this and it saved us a ton of manual updates, because otherwise someone always has to go back and change task dates when something wasn't finished on the original due date. Beyond that, our biggest headache by far has been OneDrive for Business not working smoothly with CasePeer. It seems to break fairly often we find ourselves deactivating and reactivating the connection and sometimes even that doesn't resolve the issue. The documents tab that links into OneDrive is also slow, so although we connect it, we rarely use it the way it would be most helpful for example to categorize files or open them to edit directly. Instead we usually just access OneDrive through File Explorer because it is faster and more reliable. The only real upside to having OneDrive connected is that auto-generated documents will save directly into the linked OneDrive folder which cuts out the extra save as step. Unfortunately, there are plenty of times when the integration misbehaves and we end up having to manually perform that save as anyway.

“User-friendly and smooth updates
Pros
I have found this product to be very user-friendly andsimpleto set up. The fact that case-related updates propagate so smoothly saves a lot of time. Overall it ranks among the best case management tools I have used to date.
Cons
Personally, my issue is that emails are converted into notes inside the system. I would prefer they stay as emails because attachments are easier to access, fewer icons end up saved as images and forwarding or replying becomes much simpler.

“Very user-friendly but discovery tricky
Pros
Overall I find this software very user-friendly. While a few functions can be somewhat tricky to learn and might take some time to master, there are resources available if I pause and explore them. Coming from someone who had never used a case management program before, there was plenty of trial and error along the way, yet every mistake I made was simple to correct and never caused any lasting harm to the case file.
Cons
Not being able to specify details in the medical billing is a real limitation for me and there is also no way to mark someone as a Non-Party in discovery which matters because I use non-party requests frequently. The discovery dropdown can be confusing as it always assumes you're the plaintiff or defendant requesting from a named defendant, so when I receive discovery from a defendant directed to the plaintiff there isn't an easy way to mark or track that. Plus I would like to see the plaintiff appear in that dropdown for those situations so I can track requests properly. That change would make the litigation workflow much more enjoyable. On top of all that I struggle with not being able to view the entire active case list at once which complicates day-to-day management.

“Easy to use, lacks features
Pros
What I like most about the software is how easy it is to use. So yes overall I find it veryeasyto navigate and operate.
Cons
I feel the software lacks several features and I hope the developers accelerate adding those missing pieces soon. On a positive note, their customer support is outstanding.
