“dashboard metrics are my fav”
Pros
Right from login the dashboard metrics are the standout feature for me. They give me an instant snapshot of how my practice is doing and help me quickly zero in on anything that needs attention. On top of that the platform is incredibly simple to navigate and very user friendly overall. I genuinely love using this software.
Cons
Whenever I have shared suggestions while using it, they've been addressed very quickly. At this point, I really don't have any complaints or negatives about the product.

“Best fit for injury firms”
Pros
CloudLex has been a really good match for our plaintiff personal injury practice. The system is very user friendly and whenever I have questions, they usually return my calls within a day.
Cons
The monthly cost feels high for just three users although it's probably in line with what other platforms charge.

“the best support”
Pros
I find it very user friendly since the system is simple and easy to use. Their customer service has been outstanding as well as they respond to questions quickly and take care of any issues right away. The fact that it's web based is also a huge advantage.
Cons
Since mass tort is part of my practice, I'd really like the option to customize case types based on the specific projects we take on. I am hoping that feature gets added in the future.

“worth every bit”
Pros
Switching over took a bit of effort which was expected but it ended up being well worth it. The software does a really good job of getting everyone aligned so all employees are on the same page and using the same terminology when handling cases.
Cons
We did ask for a few changes but customer support was excellent and the response time was fast enough to meet what we needed.

“organizes case tracking and reminders”
Pros
Our firm stays much more organized with all the active cases we are handling because of CloudLex. It keeps files simple to locate and linking documents is really easy too especially when attaching things like medical bills. The reminder feature is also very helpful since it alerts our attorneys about upcoming events as far as 30 days in advance.
Cons
Well I am not really a fan of one thing and that is when I create an event, I need to have a matter set up first before I can enter in this tool. Aside from that, there's really not much I dislike about it.

“remote access boosts productivity”
Pros
Being able to log in remotely has really helped our office stay productive no matter where we're working. On top of that the wide range of features, from reporting tools to the calendar, gives us access to analytics and insights we didn't have before.
Cons
The only thing I'd suggest and it's not really a downside is adding the option to include per diem attorneys in the assigned to field on calendar entries when they're covering court appearances.

“Fantastic for collaboration”
Pros
The recent activities ticker feed is really useful and the sidebar for internal communication plus the task and workflow creation features have been a big help. On top of that I really appreciate all the extra support that comes with it.
Cons
I honestly don't have any complaints about this software. It has gone well beyond what I expected and I am excited to get the entire firm involved in the implementation.

“powerful case management upgrade”
Pros
CloudLex sets up really detailed categories which makes organizing information and running reports much more useful for managing a law firm efficiently and effectively. It's built specifically for personal injury firms and that focus really shows. It did take us a couple of months to fully get used to the system but once everything clicked, we could tell it was far ahead of the other software we had used before. I'd definitely recommend it to managing partners and attorneys who want to keep their practice organized and help it grow.
Cons
The iPhone app still hasn't caught up to the web version. Right now, it only lets you handle basic tasks and see limited information. That said the team is actively improving it and it sounds like they plan to make the app just as functional as the website soon.

“Clean interface and reliable tracking”
Pros
Keeping up with important dates is very easy here as they can be entered quickly, show up when needed, flow into the calendar and send notifications to the right staff members. That kind of backup for important tasks is incredibly helpful. Expense tracking, settlement offer tracking and report generation are all very practical and save time. I also really appreciate the document storage especially with Dropbox backup included. Overall it feels like a complete solution that supports teamwork and helps with proper oversight of staff. On top of that it runs fast and the interface feels polished and uncluttered.
Cons
I'd still like the option to build custom fields that better match the specific needs of my practice but there are technical limitations around that. There's also the risk of setting something up based on a good idea in the moment, only to realize later that the field structure wasn't thought through well enough.

“best case tracking features”
Pros
Compared with most case management tools that still rely on folders and subfolders, CloudLex uses categories and tags which makes finding things much faster. Any document, photo, case detail or uploaded file can be pulled up quickly just by searching in the search bar or opening a matter and filtering for exactly what you need. A feature I have not seen in other platforms is its ability to calendar notices of claim since most systems only handle statute of limitations calculations. The Lifecycle feature is also incredibly useful because it gives a clear view of motions filed by both sides, the deadlines for responsive pleadings and the current status of each motion. Whether the case was just assigned to you or you have not looked at it for a while, it makes it very quick to catch up on pending motions and see what has already happened. The Workflow tool is another standout since it lets users build case specific to-do lists which helps cut down on confusion about what still needs to be done. On top of that the Microsoft Office integrations are excellent. You can upload the latest draft directly from Word into it and emails sent through Outlook can be saved right into the platform. Overall it is an excellent system for managing a case from beginning to end.
Cons
Anyone who prefers the older document management approach of folders and subfolders may feel that it is not the right fit or that it takes some time to learn the system quickly.

“Cloud access that changed everything”
Pros
Being able to pull up our firm's documents from anywhere, at any time, has completely changed how our attorneys work. When snowstorms hit, we no longer have to shuffle files onto flash drives just so people can work from home. One moment that really proved its value was during an arbitration. A question came up and the answer was not in my physical binder. I opened the CloudLex file on my iPad, found a note right away and it immediately helped shut down the Respondent's case. That was just one example of how much it has changed the way our firm practices law. On top of that the support team is the most valuable part of the platform. Any issue we've had has been handled almost immediately with a quick phone call. Whenever new staff needed training, they were there to provide it. The software would still be outstanding without that level of service but their support really adds even more value. They also keep improving the platform constantly. Updates come every week and even better, when I have needed a specific feature or category, they've actually added it for us.
Cons
The only thing I would really want added is the ability to attach separate documents like exhibits as sub-documents under a motion or mediation that's already in the system. Other than that there's honestly nothing I have disliked or found difficult about the product.

“training was quick and fun”
Pros
I find it surprisingly easy to use. I am at that point where I assume I should know how to use software and then half the time I realize I don't. This one was different. When I began using it, I honestly couldn't believe how simple it was to learn. At my previous firm, we spent an entire day training on another case management system and still walked away confused. Plus it only takes a few minutes to get comfortable. The customer service is another huge plus. It's been outstanding. The few times I had a question, I called a rep and got a call back almost immediately which was really refreshing.
Cons
In the beginning a few features felt somewhat limited. Other programs I had used offered more right away. That said I have noticed it has continued adding new features over time. It's actually exciting to get an update and see what new toys are included. At this point, most of the functionality feels on par with the other programs.

“Clear menus and strong usability”
Pros
The interface is very self-explanatory. Also it's simple to get around the site and find whatever needs to be done without much effort. The menu options are clear, recognizable and practical to use which really shows the value of good case management software.
Cons
At this point the intake feature still isn't ready. Once that function is added and the fields are fully populated, the software will become a lot more useful and much easier to work with. There's also no QuickBooks integration yet and having it connect with QuickBooks Online would make the whole process much more effortless.

“Excellent tool overall”
Pros
Being web based makes CloudLex really easy to use and the task management tools are excellent too. Also I have had no downtime, the learning curve was very quick and support is available right when I need it. It keeps getting better, feels built specifically for plaintiff personal injury practices, has simple reporting tools and doesn't come packed with unnecessary features I'd never use in my firm.
Cons
This isn't really an issue with this tool itself but I do wish the internet connections in courthouses around NYC and Long Island were better so I could make better use of my waiting time there.
