“Integration really has to improve”
Pros
Navigating the software is easy. It has several helpful features that would benefit someone familiar with QuickBooks.
Cons
It does not work well with QuickBooks. So there are features that require workarounds to make it function properly. Because of this we are planning to switch. While we might keep the software but the inability to integrate with other accounting software makes it difficult for us to go with LeanLaw!

“Billing made easier with this”
Pros
Syncing with QuickBooks for billing is simple and adding time entries is also very user friendly.
Cons
When I click on matters, it only shows me the cases I am linked to but I would prefer to see all of the firms cases instead.

Cons
Maybe having an icon on my desktop would be nice. But honestly you might already have that option and I just have not taken the time to figure it out.

“Integration is seamless”
Pros
I like how it integrates with QuickBooks Online which makes it easier for me to deposit into trust accounts and pay invoices from trust.
Cons
If I forget to switch back from using the undeposited funds account, it will make payments unevenly from the trust and liability accounts without any warning.

“Quick and efficient reporting”
Pros
I like that its cloud-based and online which allows us to use it from anywhere. This ease makes it easier for timekeepers to post their dockets and for me to access it from home. I also find it quick to run reports on expenses and time like with PCLaw, it could take up to half an hour but with LeanLaw it only takes a few seconds.
Cons
Regarding billing, I know they are working on adding a select/deselect-all function which would save me from having to remove thousands of entries slowly and that is good. However I find that when we have a large invoice with many entries, LeanLaw software becomes very slow and nearly unusable. Also I did like to see more reports mainly regarding our Work in Progress and expenses on a specific date. Currently when I set the date parameters, it excludes everything billed after that date which is problematic for our financial statements because we need to view it as of that date. This is a major issue for our company. I would also like to see more options for writing off invoices. Right now you can do it with QuickBooks Online but when running reports, it still shows those times as being billed, which can be an issue since we base bonuses on billings and those entries were actually written off, not billed.

“Important for Quickbooks”
Pros
We decided to use QuickBooks Online for Attorneys and spent three months trying to make it functional. Everything required a workaround to make it suitable for an attorney's office. In our CPA's words, LeanLaw puts a 'pretty face on QBO' by creating those workarounds for you and translating everything into a language and processes that are friendly for law offices. Being able to ask for help and get a real person in just five minutes is impressive!
Cons
About LeanLaw I find nothing that I dislike.

“Great features at a great price”
Pros
I really like that the service does not come with too many unnecessary features. All I need it for is time tracking and submitting bills and invoices to QuickBooks. I previously used different software for my firm which had way too many functions that I never used which makes the price high and not worth it for me.
Cons
I encounter few issues when entering specific time entries. For example if I try to log a quarter of an hour (0.25) or three-quarters of an hour (0.75), I cannot submit the bill to QuickBooks because I think the system does not recognize more than one decimal place. This is frustrating since I often work with 0.25 or 0.75 forcing me to go back and edit multiple entries which wastes my time. I also do not particularly like the look or aesthetic of the program but that is not a major concern.

“Billing is inflexible”
Pros
It generally worked well with QuickBooks. I found the timesheets easy to use.
Cons
I could not format the billing statement to suit our preferences. Also it is not very flexible and the inability to modify the appearance of our bills has been quite problematic.

“Flexible and adaptive”
Pros
LeanLaw software is very user friendly and simple. Time entries transition seamlessly into the invoicing section which then integrates with QuickBooks Online. I find it really suitable to see important information within LeanLaw, like accounts receivable reports, trust reports and billing details without needing to switch to QBO. I also love that you can create a client and have them automatically added to the QBO customer list. The support staff is friendly, helpful and very responsive.
Cons
There are a few reports that would be more helpful if I could drill down into the content for additional details but other than that I have no negatives to mention.
