“Highly recommended”
Pros
LeanLaw software is cloud based which makes it easily accessible through the internet and mobile app. Its smooth connection with QuickBooks Online helps eliminate the time consuming duplication we faced with our previous software. I also find it very user friendly.
Cons
Some reports are not as detailed as I would prefer. However the LeanLaw team is responsive to user feedback and makes adjustments to provide the needed information.

“Love the integration”
Pros
The integration with QuickBooks was beneficial and highly valuable. I also like the timekeeping feature.
Cons
Calendar is hard to read and there was not much support for note-taking on individual cases. I also had trouble figuring out how to add flat fees to hourly matters.

“Top-tier software”
Pros
LeanLaw works well for our firm because it does not come with all the extra bells and whistles that other programs have. I find that these additional features are seldom used and only complicate the software unnecessarily.
Cons
It would be beneficial to have a dashboard that provides general information about the firm's current monthly status and billings.

“Quickbook integration is a must for it to work”
Pros
I can easily add matters and make trust fund deposits with LeanLaw.
Cons
LeanLaw software cannot be used without QuickBooks Online which I dislike as many other programs like PCLaw can operate independently.

“Legal management got better with it”
Pros
Navigating the basic features of the program is quite simple whether I am adding a new client, matter or depositing funds into a client's trust account.
Cons
At times QuickBooks integration can be tricky to navigate and whenever I need to make changes to an invoice, I have to do it in QBO since it cannot be done in LeanLaw. The interface also feels somewhat outdated, similar of older software.

“Easy and integrates well”
Pros
LeanLaw is fairly easy to use and integrates well with QuickBooks Online.
Cons
This is not a dislike but my lack of understanding I think. I am not very skillful when it comes to using QuickBooks and I believe the software would be more useful to me if I had a better understanding of QBO.

“cloud access for team anywhere”
Pros
I appreciate that it's cloud-based and available online which lets our team access it from anywhere. That makes it much easier for the timekeepers to post their dockets and also allows me to handle things from home without issue. I also really value how fast it is to run reports on time and expenses, in my experience PCLaw sometimes took up to half an hour for a single report, whereas it produces the same report in just a few seconds.
Cons
Billing is the area where I run into the most headaches. They're promising to add a select/deselect-all option which will save me from having to slowly uncheck thousands of line items one by one and that's encouraging. However, when an invoice contains a huge number of line entries the system becomes painfully slow, practically unusable for those large bills. I also wish the reporting set was richer, specifically, I need to pull WIP and Expense balances as of a particular historical date. At present when I set date parameters the system still omits anything billed after that date instead of showing the ledger as it would have appeared on that date and we need that view for accurate financial statements, so it's a significant problem for our firm. Another gap is write-off handling: while I can perform write-offs through QBO, the reports still reflect those time entries as billed. That is problematic because we calculate some bonuses based on billed amounts and those figures shouldn't include items that were subsequently written off.

“simple and attorney-focused design”

“qbo integration made lawyer-friendly”
Pros
After choosing QuickBooks Online for Attorneys, my firm and I spent three months trying to make it work properly because nearly every function needed a workaround to fit an attorney's office. In our CPA's opinion, it essentially 'puts a prettier face on QBO' by building those necessary workarounds for you and converting everything into law-office-friendly language and processes. Reaching out for support and actually speaking to a REAL person within five minutes has been absolutely fantastic!
Cons
Honestly, I can't think of anything about it that I dislike.

“simple billing”
Pros
One thing I appreciate is that this service keeps things simple and doesn't overload you with unnecessary features. What I need it for is purely tracking time and pushing bills/invoices into QuickBooks and it handles that well. Previously I used another program at my firm that was packed with way more capabilities than I ever used which drove the cost up unnecessarily, so that expensive, feature-heavy option just wasn't worthwhile for my needs.
Cons
I run into trouble whenever I enter certain time increments. For instance, when I try to record a quarter-hour (0.25) or three-quarters (0.75) in my time logs, the bill won't go through to QuickBooks, I suspect the app only accepts a single decimal place and doesn't recognize numbers beyond that. That becomes really annoying because a lot of my work is billed in 0.25 or 0.75 increments, so I end up spending time going back to edit and alter multiple entries just to make the invoice submit correctly which feels like a pointless waste of my time. On top of that, the program's visual design isn't my favorite, I don't find the look particularly appealing, although that concern is more cosmetic and doesn't affect the core functionality much.

“inflexible billing customization”
Pros
Overall it integrated well with QuickBooks and I found the timesheets really easy to use.
Cons
I couldn't customize the billing statement to match our preferences, the system was inflexible. Being unable to alter the appearance of our invoices caused significant problems.

“smooth QuickBooks integration and convenient access”
Pros
This program feels incredibly user-friendly and easy to navigate. I find that time entries move right into the invoicing area without any hiccups and from there they sync into QuickBooks Online smoothly. Having easy access to key details inside it, like accounts receivable reports, trust reports and billing information, is really convenient because it means I don't have to switch out to QBO to look things up. I also appreciate that when I set up a new client they're automatically added to the QBO customer list. The support team has been approachable, helpful and very quick to respond.
Cons
There are a couple of reports that I think would be far more helpful if I could drill into some of the items to see extra detail. Aside from that limitation I don't have any other complaints and generally find the software meets our needs.

“cloud-based access and simple use”
Pros
Because the app is cloud-based, I can reach it from any browser or the mobile app without issue. It syncs with QuickBooks Online flawlessly which prevents the time-consuming duplicate entries we dealt with in our old system. Overall, I find it really simple and easy to use.
Cons
Some of the reports still aren't as fully developed as I'd want them to be which can be frustrating at times. That said, I appreciate that the it team pays attention to feedback from users and iterates, making tweaks over time so we can eventually access the data we need.

Pros

“avoids unnecessary features and complexity”
Pros
We like it for our firm because it avoids the extra bells and whistles that other programs include. In our experience, those additional features are rarely used and simply add unnecessary complexity to the software.
Cons
I would love to see a dashboard that shows high-level information about the firm's current monthly status and billing activity, having that at a glance would make it much easier to keep track of finances and operations.
