“efficient invoice tracking”
Pros
What I like best about it billing is how smoothly it integrates with our systems, tracking invoices has become noticeably more efficient and less of a issue. I'm also pleased with its flexibility in handling different billing arrangements, the ability to support flat fees as well as hourly rates has been very helpful for our law firm.
Cons
Setting it up was initially challenging, especially for anyone who isn't familiar with legal billing systems and I found the learning curve can be quite time-consuming. When issues do arise, they have the potential to disrupt the billing process and create real interruptions in our workflow.

“Efficient and economical”
Pros
Simple and very well designed for time tracking and billing.
Cons
Well it requires integration with QuickBooks and I count it as a downside. I just hope they will soon partner with a more affordable and flexible alternative.

“simple billing with easy integration”
Pros
I find the time tracking and billing process with this software to be incredibly simple and effective. It makes my life so much easier by handling everything I need without overcomplicating things. I used to dread tracking time and billing but now it's become something I don't mind at all. It's super easy and I can rely on it to get things done with zero problems.
Cons
only downside I've found is that it needs integration with QuickBooks. I really hope they partner with a cheaper and more flexible alternative soon.

“Works for my timekeeping and billing needs”
Pros
Well I find LeanLaws overall usability to be quite impressive. The software is designed in a perfect manner as it offers a wealth of functions. Also I have seen comments from some users about their inability to customize invoices but I am not sure what they were experiencing since I have had no trouble customizing our invoices, emails and various communication elements with our clients. This capability gives our small company the appearance of a large company with a dedicated IT department. We are very happy with it!
Cons
We have been using LeanLaw software for 6 months and have not faced any sort of trouble. I would love to give some feedback on this but honestly, it is so much better than our old software and meets all of our needs.

“Recommended for small firms”
Pros
I really like how it syncs seamlessly with QuickBooks. Moroever it is also easy to apply different tax rates based on various jurisdictions while managing time tracking and billing.
Cons
There is no option to schedule appointments within the software which is a feature I really hope they develop since there is already a calendar view in LeanLaw.

“friendly tool with simple functionality”
Pros
Overall it is easy to use. I love how everything is laid out in such a simple, user-friendly format. It offers so much functionality without overwhelming you. Some users have mentioned not being able to customize their invoices but I honestly have no idea what they are talking about because I've had zero issues customizing not just the invoices but also the emails and pretty much all the communication with my clients. It's made our small firm look super professional, almost like we have a massive IT department working behind the scenes. Honestly... we love it!
Cons
we have been using this software for 6 months and we have not run into any issues. I'd love to share more but honestly, it's way better than our old software and meets all our needs.

“perfect quickbooks sync”
Pros
I really like how easily it synchronizes with QuickBooks. the integration works perfectly and I never have to worry about manually transferring data. Another feature I love is how easy it is to apply different tax rates depending on the jurisdiction while tracking time and billing. It's such a convenient tool and I feel so much more in control of my finances because of it.
Cons
one thing that's missing is the ability to schedule appointments within the software. They already have a calendar view so I'm really hoping they add this feature soon.

“Love their customer service”
Pros
I find LeanLaw helpful to move invoices into another software for client communication and expense tracking. We still rely on QuickBooks for this.
Cons
Well I am not a fan of the double screens that open after logging in. Two tabs pop up which irritates my OCD so I always close the non-essential one right away.

“time saving tool with smooth integration”
Pros
The ability to move invoices into other software for sending to clients and for tracking expenses has been a huge time-saver for me. We still use QuickBooks for some aspects of our business but this software just makes everything work together so smoothly. I can handle everything I need and it integrates perfectly with my other tools.
Cons
I don't like that two screens pop up when I log in. It bothers my OCD so I immediately close the extra window that's not needed.

“Helps organize everything”
Pros
I enjoy the intuitive interfaces and simple guidance it offers. Some lawyers might not be very tech savvy so these simple designs and instructions help minimize any frustration.
Cons
LeanLaw reporting interface feels cramped and leaves much to be desired. It limits itself across the tabs instead of allowing more differentiation between them.

“Great integration with Quickbooks”
Pros
I find LeanLaw easy to learn and use. Also the web based interface is clean, simple and easy to navigate. It very well manages time entry, billing and trust accounting, which is important because QuickBooks either lacks these features or executes them so poorly that they become confusing. However Leanlaws integration with QuickBooks is outstanding and dependable. I learned to use both QuickBooks and Leanlaw side by side and I found the process to be easier than I anticipated. While QuickBooks is a more complex system, Leanlaw manages to keep its functions distinct while maintaining excellent integration. I have been quite impressed with it.
Cons
This is more of a bug than a dislike but if you leave it open in your browser for a while, you can start typing a time entry or expense entry. Only after hitting Enter will it notify you that you need to log in again and then you lose your entry.

“Brilliant product”
Pros
I really enjoy the program's ease of use and I love how well it integrates with QuickBooks.
Cons
To be honest there is nothing that I dislike about LeanLaw. It feels almost perfect for my needs. Since QuickBooks lacks a good built in time tracker, this program beautifully fills in that gap.

Pros
I found the product easy to set up and use. The integration with QuickBooks is excellent as it allowed me to use QuickBooks confidently, even though I had never used it before. The team is very responsive to customer service inquiries and any questions or issues I have are addressed quickly. In short their communication is the best.
Cons
No criticisms form my side. It might be because my law practice is not very complex.
