“modern affordable tool

Pros

it makes managing e-discovery easy and affordable. The system offers enough flexibility and power to cover around 95% of the matters we handle. I also appreciate that I don't have to wait for or pay a vendor's hourly support team to walk me through tasks which is a common annoyance with more traditional providers. On top of that, the user interface feels modern and enjoyable to use which, frankly, should be a given for consumer-facing software in 2018 but weirdly remains rare in this industry.

Cons

While many of the functions and options are presented using conventional e-discovery workflows and terminology, I recognize that's largely unavoidable. Still, it feels a bit regrettable because the rest of the product delivers such a fresh, unburdened experience.

“support that truly goes above and beyond

Pros

customer support is outstanding. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure I grasp how the service operates and they're happy to jump on a phone call or a video chat to walk me through using the system so I actually understand it.

Cons

In my experience some tasks noticeably slow the system down, so it can take quite a while to jump from one document to the next. I brought the issue up with customer support and they told me it's due to that specific archive containing more than 100,000 pages.

“missing basic feature

Pros

One thing I appreciate is being able to upload my data and get up and running quickly with searching, reviewing and tagging. The processing finished in just a few minutes and my files were OCR'd, even some handwritten notes which I thought was really impressive.

Cons

I've noticed it's lacking features that rivals have offered for years, like customizable keyboard shortcuts. It also doesn't include a built-in file viewer, so I have to download each file and hope I have an application on my device that can open it.

“million-page reviews made manageable

Pros

In under a week we were able to examine more than one million pages and I feel confident that we didn't miss any critical items. The review workflow proved to be fairly easy to pick up, despite us never having used the platform previously. The support team stood out, they answered an endless stream of questions and patiently helped us work through the learning curve.

Cons

There was definitely a learning curve since this was our first time using the tool but the online and telephone support were exceptional and made a big difference. The main drawback we experienced was increasingly slow data load times as the database expanded. Going forward, we will allocate more time and plan better to handle larger datasets.

“Best-in-class ocr search power

Pros

Having tested multiple other cloud-based document services I quickly realized that none of them even come close to matching this tool's outstanding OCR search functionality.

Cons

Keeping existing folders and subfolders intact during upload would be a big plus for my workflow, currently they don't carry over. Likewise, I would appreciate a simpler way to rearrange folders and subfolders across the platform. Also, the chat pane locks me into place so I can't browse the rest of the app while I am chatting and that significantly reduces its practicality.

it is easy to use and it also offers built-in loading and production capabilities that work well for my needs.

Cons

In my experience the per-GB pricing model makes this tool less economically viable for larger projects.

For me this application feels extremely simple and it's also visually appealing.

Sluggish performance can occur on older or lower-powered machines which I notice sometimes.

Honestly for my workflow this app made reviewing, sorting and organizing huge batches of documents surprisingly easy. What I love most is that it reads text inside PDFs and other file types without needing a conversion step and I can quickly search those files to pull up specific keywords or phrases I am hunting for. Truly a fantastic product!

this tool is easy to monitor items, perform redactions, generate productions and supply records along with privilege logs. A built-in chat lets me ask questions as issues arise throughout the workflow and the OCR accuracy is excellent.

What I appreciate most about Logikcull is that it's hosted in the cloud within a secure environment, so I don't have to deal with physical servers. I also find the platform's predictive coding to be very powerful and I've relied on it successfully for internal investigations as well as for producing documents during litigation-related discovery.

The tagging and commenting tools make sharing files with teammates simple and my workflow is much smoother thanks to the clear, simple organization for sending large batches of documents.

It frustrates me that near-duplicates aren't detected, many documents differ only by a small change and I would like to be alerted to those.

A "pre-review" capability would be helpful allowing me to identify relevant documents before uploading and bookmarking exact pages inside long documents would make things easier for me.
