Automated workflows boosting productivity

Pros

We've seen this tool significantly improve our workflow by automating repetitive tasks and keeping files organized. The cloud-based platform and mobile app allow our team to access information whenever it's needed, even away from the office. This efficiency lets us focus more on substantive legal matters which benefits our clients.

Cons

A native Windows desktop application would be a welcome complement to the browser-based version, aside from that, it has performed perfectly for my needs.

easy onboarding with strong features

Pros

At my firm, what I value most is how user-friendly it is. After a short training period, we were able to start using it right away. We really like the range of features, especially the client portal and the LawPay integration. My team also relies heavily on the template builder which makes drafting documents for current and potential clients much easier. The support staff made our onboarding smooth and have been responsive whenever we had questions.

Cons

I'd love for them to add more third-party integrations, particularly support for TrustBooks and a built-in e-signature provider.

Secure client messaging portal

Pros

everything about this product appeals to me, yet if I had to pick a single standout feature it would be the secure messaging paired with the client portal. With state bars increasingly asserting that email isn't adequate for confidential client communications, secure messaging has become my preferred channel when interacting with clients regularly.

Cons

It would be great for me if the document automation kept evolving into a significantly more powerful and feature-rich solution.

Custom matters with box sync

Pros

One thing I really appreciate is the option to tailor matters to meet my client's specific needs. I also love that it synchronizes with Box, so I don't have to take extra steps uploading and downloading files from cloud storage.

Cons

Since I schedule reminders months ahead, I notice that items far in the future remain marked as uncompleted. I'd like an extra status like "pending" to indicate they aren't urgent and don't require immediate action.

Responsive team adapts software

Pros

Beyond being a true 'one-stop shop' and very easy to access, I've been notably impressed by it's willingness to address my specific requirements. Much of my workload involves unions and clients who have multiple matters open at once. At first, the platform couldn't handle invoicing and billing for a single contact tied to several matters. When I explained the problem to them, they implemented a fix in under a week and even checked back to make sure it worked for me. Their quick turnaround and attentiveness really stood out and left a strong impression on me.

Cons

I'm still getting up to speed with all the ins and outs. Occasionally, customer support doesn't fully answer every question but when I reach out or flag an issue they are very responsive. A bit more training or clearer documentation would help me feel more confident using the system.

Customizable and simple workflow

Pros

Highly customizable and very easy to use, on top of that, their customer support has been outstanding! Although the layout and workflow differ from the other case management tools I'm familiar with, after investing some time learning it I found it not just different but actually more simple to work with.

Cons

It's not easy to have a parent item automatically trigger its child items. I found a workaround by setting up an event and configuring tasks to start from that event but right now one task can't directly trigger another. I shared this with the development team and they're investigating ways to introduce this capability.

Autofill saves admin time

Pros

What I appreciate most is how everything autofills for me. It cuts down on time spent doing administrative work. I've tested several options and this is the best practice management software I've used.

Cons

The system can feel a little clunky at times. Certain processes or windows take a while to respond and occasionally I have to sign out and back in because it becomes slow.

Pros

For me, the tasks and 'What's Happening Now' stream do a fantastic job of keeping the entire team in the loop and focused on cases. I also value the customizable intake forms and custom fields because they let me shape how we store data, making the whole process much more efficient and useful.

Cons

I've noticed a few small quirks, like brief delays when instant searches load and some hiccups when importing data from other software which require extra cleanup.

All in one practice platform

Pros

There's a huge range of bonus features. I use multiple tools that make it easy to track follow-up tasks and upcoming deadlines. Honestly, it contains every capability we require in a single app, calendar, client database, invoicing, time tracking, document automation, internal chat, file storage and more. The tech support team is incredibly friendly and hilarious, they always help out without talking down to you like some 'tech' folks do. Overall, it's an excellent software package that has really simplified things for my manager and me.

Cons

Pros

I find this application really easy to pick up and use. Whenever I've reached out to Support, their responsiveness has been outstanding. Let me repeat: VeRY ReSPONSIVe SUPPORT. On top of that, the price seems reasonable and competitive in the market. I would purchase it again and I genuinely recommend it to others.

Cons

There are almost no downsides that I've found. My main wish would be the ability to display unbilled time on invoices. Frequently I opt not to bill for small tasks, quick phone calls or minor edits, so the client sees that some work isn't charged and it would be useful to reflect that on the invoice.

Flexible features

Pros

While the software packs a lot of features, I find it surprisingly simple to tailor to our needs. There's no pressure to use every feature from day one. I was able to introduce the different modules into my firm's processes without hiccups. The timekeeping, matter handling and billing parts have saved me a ton of time. Plus, the reporting capabilities are essential and being able to export data in multiple formats has really boosted my efficiency.

Cons

Still getting acquainted with it and so far I haven't run into any major problems. One thing I think could use improvement is integrations. As a GSuite user, I'd love a easy way to connect directly to my Google Docs and similar services, that would make things even more feasible for me.

Modernizes traditional legal work

Pros

After being with the Public Defender's Office for almost 28 years, a lot of my management habits were pretty old-school, piles of legal pads and paper, very little automation. Because I was assigned cases, there wasn't really any need to track billable time, so my workflow looked a lot like it did when I first started practicing law back in 1983. Finding it has honestly been a lifesaver for me. It's made tracking expenses, customizing forms and submitting payment claims incredibly easy. What really stands out is that it isn't a one-size-fits-all platform, I was able to tailor it to how I actually work and I can already see how it will scale as our practice grows. On top of all that, their customer service is excellent and the free training they offer has been a huge help.

Before I started using it, paperwork had me overwhelmed. I used to spend almost four hours every week just managing invoices and I kept losing track of many billable hours. Since I switched to it, I've noticed my productivity jump considerably. I'm logging time more accurately, freeing up extra hours to focus on practicing law and I no longer spend as much time bogged down in administrative tasks.

Cons

So far, I can't point to anything I actively dislike about it but I would really appreciate being able to link my Google Drive directly to my account for easier file access.

Support that truly delivers

Pros

As someone who uses it regularly, I find the software extremely easy to navigate and their customer support truly pampers you. My account rep and the rest of the team are always quick to respond, act professionally and are focused on finding solutions. It's obvious they take genuine pride in the product they've built.

Cons

One frustrating issue I run into when entering time is that the entry window closes if I click anywhere outside it which makes me lose everything I was typing. I then have to re-enter all of the data from scratch which wastes time and is really annoying.

Unified integrations and secure portal

Okay so... I rely on this tool because it connects with all the other programs I use, PayPal, QuickBooks, Outlook and more, so my workflow stays unified. The interface is clean and attractive and it feels quite simple even though I'm not the most tech-savvy lawyer. Their customer service has been outstanding which for me is one of the biggest factors when evaluating any software vendor. I also value the secure client portal, the in-app internal chat and how configurable the legal intake form is to match my needs. It seems like the platform keeps evolving with frequent updates and enhancements and I honestly believe that it has what it takes to become more popular than Clio.

Cons

Personally, I couldn't find any real drawbacks with it, although I've heard from others that it doesn't offer native, feasible integrations with a few CRM platforms like Lexicata and Contactually. You can bridge that using Zapier which works fine but it does add an extra configuration step and some complexity.

Support is great.... the team was patient, professional and genuinely helpful. They gave me three straight days of complimentary training which let me put it into action right away. The platform itself is simple and tech-friendly and it integrates smoothly with tools I already use, such as Gmail.

Cons

One drawback I've noticed is that it doesn't provide bundle pricing for multiple users, so we have to buy each account individually.

I'm shifting toward checklist-driven practice and automations, so I really appreciate the templates and workflows that help me cut down on repetitive steps and save a great deal of time.

Cons

Navigating trust accounting reconciliation and associated tasks wasn't simple for me, it took quite a while before I discovered they were listed under 'Activities'. I'd prefer an option for direct bank syncing instead of having to route everything through QuickBooks.
