Switching to this tool has made billing much more simple compared with the software we used before.
Cons
The help section doesn't explain a few things in enough detail to answer every question we've had. Thankfully, live chat resolved them within minutes.

“Huge timesaver”
Pros
Pulling all of our monthly invoices at once has been a huge time-saver and being able to make edits directly in the draft invoice without jumping back into the timekeeping stage is especially helpful. Finalizing everything is quick too. We're a very small firm so we don't use every big feature the platform offers but it fits our needs really well. Just in monthly invoice prep alone, it's probably saved us around two hours each month.
Cons
One thing I'd still like to see improved is the page layout. The header with our logo, invoice number, date, matter details and similar items takes up more room at the top of the page than it should and the footer also seems like it could sit lower. We do like the overall look we have now but it definitely uses more space than necessary.

“Focused billing”
Pros
It doesn't try to be a full-blown case management platform and that's exactly why it works well. It stays focused on what it does best, tracking time and expenses, then billing accurately for both.
Cons
The mobile app seems pretty limited right now. It's fine for uploading entries but it doesn't currently let you view historical data which is a noticeable gap.

Keeping detailed records of every task throughout the workday is much more manageable with it. The built-in timer is especially helpful because it gives a precise way to track time instead of having to calculate everything manually.
Cons
Getting started can still feel a little challenging since the learning curve may be somewhat steep for new users.

“Versatile time tracking options”
Pros
Tracking time with TimeSolv has been very simple especially because it works across so many formats and integrations. I can use it on my phone, desktop, through Outlook or in the web version which makes it really convenient depending on where I'm working. The connection with our electronic payment processing vendor has also worked well so that part has been a positive experience too.
Cons
The only thing that really bothered me was being timed out in the online version and sometimes in Outlook. That said switching over to the desktop or phone apps like TimeSync seems to avoid that issue so it hasn't been a problem when using those instead.

Getting it up and running was very simple and the platform is really user-friendly. The training and support team have been extremely helpful too. Our billing process has a lot of complicated steps but we were able to work with TimeSolv to configure everything exactly the way we needed. They also shared useful tips and workaround suggestions along the way.

Pros
It is very easy for attorneys to stay on top of their time and expense entries. When the new month starts, it's also really convenient to pull up the draft invoices and review them before sending everything out to print.
Cons
From my side as a Legal Assistant handling account and payment monitoring, the least helpful part is having to switch between separate tabs to see Payments/Credits and Trust Payments. It would be a lot more convenient if all payment activity could be viewed together on one screen.

“Billing statements need work”
Pros
Keeping track of time, expenses and client details is handled well in the system.
Cons
Putting together statements for each client is still a challenge. I have to prepare them one by one after the drafts which takes extra time. On top of that, when a client has an outstanding balance or has made a payment on their account but has no slips for that billing period, I have to manually figure out who those clients are and then create a Statement of Account. Even then, the format is not always correct. I'm also not a fan of the "suggestion" page since you have to keep checking in and voting for changes you want. Most of the time, I barely have enough time to request a change at all.
