Amazing built-in timer

Pros

Using it has been very convenient and the system is simple to work with. It makes the billing process much easier to manage and I can quickly go back and edit entries before turning them into invoices. The finished invoices look polished and professional which I really appreciate. The built-in timer is also a big plus for work billed by the hour since it helps us track time more accurately and invoice clients based on actual time instead of rough estimates.

Cons

One issue I run into from time to time is entering the right date but realizing later I selected the wrong month. That feels more like user mistake than a system problem though. Another thing I do not love is when an invoice spills onto a second page because of just a single extra line and there is no way to adjust the spacing to keep it on one page. It does not look very polished when the second page only contains one line.

No drawbacks

Pros

Entering time in it is incredibly convenient. I only need to type a few letters to move through our client list and quickly find the right client and matter. The sync feature is also very flexible and having the app on my phone means I can log time from anywhere, whenever I need to. That has been especially helpful after late board meetings, during conference calls or when I take a client call while I'm in the car or away from my desk. I can open the app, record my time and have it synced to TimeSolv within minutes. Another big advantage is the reporting. I can pull a single document that shows my year-to-date hours by client and clearly separates billable from non-billable time. That matters a lot at my firm since we have an annual billing requirement and bonuses for associates who go beyond it. With the reports and hour tracking, I can clearly see when I need to increase my billable time to meet the requirement or qualify for the bonus.

Cons

Honestly I haven't run into any drawbacks. It's simple to use and the sync feature adds a lot of convenience. Since our firm moved over to TimeSolv, I haven't had any negative experiences and I would absolutely recommend it for billing needs.

Mobile app is a bonus

Pros

Fast time entry by matter

Pros

Entering time by matter number is very simple and convenient.

Cons

Getting matters set up takes more effort than it should. There's also no option to generate Statements of Account that display only invoice totals. Since those statements are organized by matter, it works fine when you're dealing with just a handful of matters but it becomes a real headache once you have a large number of them.

Feels natural

Pros

Right away, TimeSolv felt simple to learn and use. The interface is user-friendly, practical and everything about it makes sense.

Cons

It gets frustrating when I forget to save a change, the system doesn't prompt me before I leave the page. Instead, I have to cancel leaving, save the update and then try to leave again. That adds two unnecessary steps and a simple pop-up asking me to save changes would fix it.

Great experience of 1 year

Pros

After using it for more than a year, I can honestly say it has been an excellent experience. The software feels very user-friendly from the start. One of the best parts is how much it organizes time entry. The interface is well organized so it takes very little training to get comfortable with it. On top of that, the extra features give administrators the ability to do detailed time analysis without spending much time on it. I've worked with several time and billing systems over the last ten years and TimeSolv stands out above the others.

Cons

At this point, I really don't have any major complaints. I've noticed occasional lag once in a while but that's the only issue I've run into.

Support team never lets us down

Pros

Using it feels very user-friendly and I can usually work out the answers to my questions without needing to reach out to support. On the occasions I do contact customer service, they respond immediately and provide thorough, helpful answers.

Pros

There are plenty of things I appreciate about it but the standout feature has to be being able to bill while I'm on the road.

Cons

My only real complaint is the limited hours for emergency support. Our clients run into emergencies on weekends too.

Cons

There are a lot of categories to work through and I occasionally run into problems entering billing because of small, specific mistakes. Once you get beyond the basics, the system stops feeling very user-friendly.

Fantastic training and support

Pros

Starting this job without anyone to train me could have been really tough but TimeSolv made the whole process much easier. Between the Getting Started Guides, weekly training sessions, one-on-one online meetings, helpful articles, YouTube training videos covering every topic, scheduled email support, Zoom help and instant chat assistance, I was able to get up to speed incredibly fast. I began on June 15th and still managed to send out all of the June 30th bills by July 17th, including the LEDES invoices. Everyone on the team has been helpful and friendly throughout. I honestly can't praise TimeSolv and their staff enough.

Cons

Would appreciate an Invoice Detail report that shows the exact payment allocations instead of only providing a summary.

Their team goes above and beyond

Pros

One of the best parts of TimeSolv is the people behind it. Whenever there's a question or an issue, the staff is always there to help and they really go the extra mile. The software itself works very well and like any platform, it takes a little time to learn at first. Once you get used to it though, the system is very user-friendly. As good as the software is, the support team is even better.

Quick time entry and reports

Pros

Compared with other timekeeping tools I've used before, it feels much more user-friendly. The time entry fields are simple to move through and the right case or matter usually shows up after just one or two keystrokes. I also really appreciate being able to view my time in both daily and monthly formats. On top of that, putting together weekly or monthly reports, whether for all time entries or filtered by case or matter, is very simple.

Cons

There haven't been many downsides that stand out. Other timekeeping programs I used in the past would regularly freeze or run into glitches but I haven't experienced any of that with TimeSolv.

Billing done in minutes

Pros

Billing used to take me hours sometimes even days and I would put off invoices because I hated dealing with them. That usually meant they went out well past the middle of the month, if they were sent at all and clients were frustrated by how random the timing was. Now the whole process takes about 10 minutes and every invoice is consistently sent on the 5th of each month.

Cons

Syncing with QuickBooks Online is not very user friendly. Honestly it's difficult enough that I don't even bother trying to sync it.
