“Clean, professional upgrade”
Pros
It's very simple to walk other people through which made adoption a lot easier for us. The interface looks polished and professional and it's a major step up from the system we were using before. Getting comfortable with it also didn't take long at all.
Cons
It may be a bit more advanced than what we actually need even though it still gets the job done well. A few of the billing features also feel like they could be arranged in a more organized way.

“Missing timer hurts tracking”
Pros
From an associate's point of view, TimeSolv really doesn't feel like a strong system. There's no built-in timer which makes keeping track of time pretty frustrating. The one thing I can say is that the web design is clean and simple which is a plus.
Cons
A timer feature is badly needed because tracking time during the day is difficult without it. I usually end up waiting until the end of the day to enter everything manually which is inconvenient. It really needs a tool that lets you track time as you work.

“Quickbooks sync is a lifesaver”
Pros
Having it sync with QuickBooks saves me a lot of time and makes my work much more manageable.
Cons
The only downside is that trust account details do not sync with QuickBooks so I have to enter that information twice. On the plus side, doing it both times helps me double-check everything and keep the trust records accurate.

“Dependable solution”
Pros
I started using it when I opened my own practice in 2009 and over the past 8 years it has stayed dependable and simple to work with. Those are two of the biggest things I need from billing software and it has consistently delivered on both. They've also kept improving the product over time, with updates that make it even more user-friendly. I've never had any data go missing and I can still pull invoices and time records from 8 years ago whenever I need them. Being able to access it from anywhere is also a huge advantage as a solo attorney.
Cons
There honestly isn't much to complain about with this software. In the past, voiding bills and fixing billed time or expenses was a bit difficult although that process has gotten much better recently. If I had to point to anything else, I'd say modifying invoice templates could still be a little more flexible but that's really all that comes to mind.

“Fair pricing”
Pros
Being fairly new to private practice, I needed a billing tool that wasn't overpriced and TimeSolv has been a really simple option. The customer service has been wonderful and the interface is very user-friendly.
Cons
None at this point. It covers everything I need for billing and the cloud access makes it even more convenient.

“Well organized dashboard”
Pros
Right from the start, it feels user-friendly and simple to navigate. It opens directly to the time-entry screen which makes logging hours and creating invoices quick and hassle-free. The dashboard is well organized without feeling cluttered and the sync with QuickBooks Online is a really helpful bonus.
Cons
One thing that can be a bit challenging is undoing or deleting something but that seems to be by design. TimeSolv intentionally makes removals and voids harder to prevent accidental mistakes so while deleting items takes more effort, I do appreciate the extra safeguard.

“Gamechanger for our firm”
Pros
It's been a real gamechanger for my law office. We're no longer letting billable time or expenses slip through the cracks and that alone has made a big difference. The support team has also been excellent and the software is simple to use and customize to fit the way we work.
Cons
The only thing missing right now is Google Calendar sync although I've heard that feature should be available soon.

Switching from TimeSlips to TimeSolv has been such a positive change for our firm. The platform is very user-friendly and the cloud-based billing gives our staff the flexibility to work from anywhere. Another big advantage has been the support from Billing Expert Tiann Stout. She is incredibly knowledgeable, responsive and has been instrumental in getting TimeSolv set up for our office. She also assisted with uploading our bills to sites like Tymetrix, Legal-X, Bottomline and LSS. Working with her has been an excellent experience and I would absolutely recommend both Tiann and TimeSolv to anyone searching for a new billing system.
Cons
After using TimeSolv for a little over a month, I honestly have not come across anything I dislike about it.

After years on another billing platform, we realized it had become too bloated for our small family law firm. The upgrade costs kept climbing and support was not even included in that already expensive software. On the recommendation of another family law firm, we moved over to TimeSolv. At first, a few features we had relied on in our old system were missing. Still, one of the key support contacts, Tiann, connected us directly with the company owner and a lead programmer. I honestly would not have expected a software company to pay such close attention to a client's requests and then actually build those changes. Now we are happy to be using TimeSolv and have the trust accounting features we were accustomed to in our previous program. Tiann was especially responsive while our team was getting familiar with the system. It took us a few weeks but we were fully up and running. The company really went out of its way to support us throughout the process. Another big plus is that TimeSolv was the only vendor that truly followed through on migrating all of our Timeslips data from the legacy database. We now have the full legacy database in the cloud, not just old client contacts but everything. That has been a huge benefit especially since my contract attorneys can securely access the billing software remotely. Huge thanks to Tiann, the owners and the programmer for sticking with us until everything was working.
Cons
The remittance page could use a cleaner layout especially where it shows trust balances and the current amount due. I would also prefer to see the payment allocation step removed. If a client pays an invoice, I'd rather have that payment applied automatically instead of needing to click an "allocate" button.

“Reliable solution”

Since 2008, TimeSolv has been a dependable fit for my small firm and handles everything I need it to do. On the rare occasions when I've had a technical issue or a question, the support team responded quickly and provided excellent customer service. I'd definitely recommend it.

“Awesome Time Sync feature”
Pros
Running a small law firm, this has been a simple way to handle attorney billing and keep track of time spent on files especially when case management is handled in a different system. A lot of billing platforms feel overloaded and overpriced and in the end you only use the billing piece anyway. TimeSolv avoids that problem. The awesome Time Sync feature is the real highlight because it captures time and expenses while you work at your computer which means no more tedious timesheets. That feature has been a huge help and it works exceptionally well with dual monitors since you can keep it in front of you while working.
Cons
The retainer functionality could definitely be improved. I would like to be able to enter a paid retainer and then deduct charges directly from that retainer balance. The way clients and matters are organized could also use a better design with more room for firm-specific customization. For example, it would be helpful to have the option to enter only a client or only a matter instead of being required to create both.

“Time entry section saves hours”
Pros
Using the Time Entry section has been a huge time-saver for us. The calendar makes it simple to move between different days and billable employees and the abbreviation shortcuts really cut down the time it takes to enter billing into the system. The duplicate entry feature is also very handy especially when several clients need the same billing entry since it saves us a lot of extra work.
Cons
We did run into a few problems with the Trust Account feature affecting our outstanding balances but after talking with Ron at TimeSolv, he helped us get everything sorted out.

“Professional invoices with TimeSolv”

Right away, TimeSolv felt very simple to use especially when it comes to creating professional invoices that are also simple to adjust when needed. The system is powerful overall but it's still easy to navigate and make full use of its features. I also appreciate how quickly invoices can be prepared and sent directly to customers. On top of that, having customer support available through a chat box is a huge plus.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about with this program. If I had to point out one weakness, it would be the mobile app which could be more efficient and better organized. Its functionality feels limited in terms of what you can actually do there. At the moment, it mainly lets you enter time and it seems to require syncing quite often.

“Trust accounting stands out”
Pros
Trust accounting is easily the strongest part of this software. It lets you set up multiple trust accounts for each client and it also prevents you from using more trust funds than are actually available.
Cons
At times, the system can get very slow and some screens take several seconds to load. They also made an update that removed the ability to search trust accounting by a specific client so now you have to look through all transactions grouped in certain ways instead.
