Articulate Is Getting Better and Better

Pros

Articulate 360 is more user-friendly than previous versions, boasting an intuitive interface suitable even for beginners.

Cons

Articulate 360 can be buggy, and some bugs can't be fixed, which can be frustrating when clients expect you to turn in your module.

Great but could use more improvement

Pros

I find it incredibly user-friendly. It took me about an hour to grasp most of its features. Creating content is a breeze, and the preview function works seamlessly.

Cons

My main concern is with Rise Articulate. It was simple to use, but that's the problem. For those experienced with LMS and Design, it feels limited after a bit. We still need more options to improve the quality of the content.

Robust program but only available on PC

Pros

Certain aspects of the program interface closely resemble Microsoft PowerPoint, providing a familiar environment for users. Additionally, the abundance of learning resources and regular email updates from the company enrich the user experience.

Cons

As a graphic designer, only being able to use this program on a PC is frustrating. And the company has no plans to create a version for Mac.

Steep Learning Curve for True Interactivity

Pros

The inclusion of templates, stock characters, and an extensive image library enhances the standard functionality, making it easy to use. The availability of templates and samples from the E-learning Heroes community further enriches the experience.

Cons

Motion graphics would be amazing. Also, more interactive templates.

Easy to use!

Pros

Articulate 360 offers several benefits! I particularly appreciate the wealth of learning resources available through the application and YouTube, including fantastic tutorial videos. The Content Library facilitates the creation of professional content with minimal experience. Navigating this product is much easier than Adobe Captivate. Additionally, the Rapid eLearning Blog offers valuable insights from other developers and provides skill-building challenges.

Cons

When you go to the eLearning community page, it's a little overwhelming as a newbie, and sometimes your search terms don't yield the response you are seeking. You have to learn the language to take advantage of what the resources offer.

Good option if you do not want the subcription model.

Pros

Opting for this option is fantastic if your team lacks the budget for annual software payments. It offers the same excellent product at a one-time price.

Cons

The non-subscription method lags in receiving updates compared to the subscription option, leading to instances where you're not using the latest software.

Training Creation Made Easy

Pros

I absolutely love how easy it is to customize and create training courses. The wide range of plug-and-play features effortlessly adapts to any topic or subject, requiring just a touch of creativity to piece together a compelling training course. Additionally, the synchronization across all products ensures seamless integration of components, and incorporating videos is a breeze.

Cons

The payment structure per subscriber isn't my favorite. Given the amount, it should be accessible for an entire training team.

Articulate 360 - Easy to Use

Pros

Articulate 360's interface resembles PowerPoint, making it remarkably intuitive and straightforward to use. It enables the rapid creation of polished eLearning content. With a plethora of common functionalities built-in, there's no need to start from scratch every time, unlike Adobe Captivate. Additionally, the extensive library of images is a boon for expediting content creation. The unparalleled online support community for Articulate fosters not only problem-solving but also encourages professional growth.

Cons

I sense the absence of hotkeys, especially for adding text entry fields or hot spots. Additionally, moving items pixel by pixel using the mouse instead of CTRL and SHIFT would be more convenient. While the interface is reminiscent of PowerPoint, its visual appeal is lacking, which matters when explaining the complexities of eLearning to executives. Moreover, the triggers can be a bit perplexing.

SilkWeb, an eLearning Company Prefers Articulate 360

Pros

Among the products in this learning suite, Storyline stands out as the best. It empowers users to accomplish virtually anything in terms of eLearning, from animations to simulations to videos, making it an indispensable tool for developing online courses.

Cons

Rise, another product in this suite, holds immense potential but has significant drawbacks. For instance, the inability to copy or move individual screens to a new lesson is a major flaw. It's also not ideal for adding audio to screens. Although you can import individual Storyline screens into a Rise project, it's almost as effective to build directly in Storyline. Despite its usefulness for novice developers due to its simplicity, Storyline is more suited for professional developers given its technical nature.

Still my favorite authoring tool - powerful, modern & easy to get ideas/suplort

Pros

My favorite aspect of Storyline is its relatively recent emergence, around 6-8 years ago. The wealth of examples, just-in-time support, and troubleshooting available online are all applicable to the current version (360) and easily implementable. The online community support is exemplary.

Cons

As a freelancer, the subscription price of Storyline 360 is burdensome when work is scarce for my eLearning business. A monthly payment option would be more manageable.

One of the Best Course Creation Tools Available

Pros

Articulate 360 facilitates the creation of beautiful, engaging, and practical e-learning with remarkable ease of use. It provides a wide variety of built-in tools and layouts, empowering even novice users to create captivating content. The excellent customer support and the vibrant community on E-Learning Heroes are invaluable resources.

Cons

A significant downside of Articulate is the inability to grant users access to base files for viewing. While Review is an excellent tool for sharing projects with subject matter experts, it lacks the capability for others to edit slide layouts or wording, which can be cumbersome during multiple edits.

Great for creating online webinars

Pros

I value the freedom to publish courses in various formats and the option to preview individual slides, scenes, or the entire course prior to publishing, which significantly saves time.

Cons
