“Offers more than alternatives”
Pros
It offers capabilities our previous LMS didn't have. The dynamic assignments and deep content integration with third-party vendors really cut down on the amount of manual work needed.
Cons
There are a lot of different options available so getting everything set up at the beginning can feel overwhelming.

“Flexible learning portal”
Pros
I've been using the Learning portal since 2010 and I really appreciate the flexibility and range of features it provides. Administrative work feels organized and simple and the overall user experience has been just as positive.
Cons
The online help could be improved with a better search function and more use case examples.

“Deep feature set”
Pros
There's a lot of depth in the feature set and when an organization has the staff and time to really invest in CSOD, it can build a very strong learning experience for employees.
Cons
Getting comfortable with the platform takes time because it isn't especially user-friendly. There are many layers involved in adding information and multiple paths to reach the same area. If CSOD administration is handed to people who already have other responsibilities, it can be hard to use it to its full potential and may end up being frustrating for staff.

“adapts a lot”
Pros
As business needs shift, this system has a lot of room to adapt. It works well for basic functions but it also supports custom training creation, workflows and training plans when you need more. The custom reporting feature is especially strong and very powerful.
Cons
At times, it can be difficult to make functionality changes that would improve the end-user experience.

“forward-thinking platform”
Pros
Cornerstone stands out for its flexibility and forward-thinking platform and that really makes it simple to use while putting other products far behind.
Cons
I'd still love to see more mobile capabilities especially when it comes to reporting.

“Everything at one spot”
Pros
Having everything in one simple platform is a big plus. It keeps things simple and helps my organization work more efficiently.
Cons
Getting help or useful feedback can be frustrating. It's hard to find a Cornerstone expert unless you pay a third party and while there seems to be plenty of support during implementation, that support feels like it disappears afterward.

“Covers all our learning needs”
Pros
It has been a really positive addition for us. We recently integrated it with LinkedIn and it's been covering all of our learning needs very well.
Cons
There's really nothing major to complain about, aside from some startup issues when we were loading our history. We ended up losing a fair amount of historical records and used Tribridge to help with the data load and the overall transition.

“fast training access”
Pros
Getting to training across the organization is fast and convenient with this platform. It's user-friendly to use which makes the overall experience simple.
Cons
I'd still like to see more built-in customization options within the portal instead of having to outsource that work. A few parts of the system also feel a bit buggy.

“They take long to respond”
Pros
Assigning training is one of the best parts of Cornerstone because I can get it out to people as quickly as needed.
Cons
The downside is that Global Product Support can take an incredibly long time to respond sometimes weeks sometimes even months. That only seems to improve if you pay for the higher support tiers and whether that's worth it really depends on your organization.

“rich content”
Pros
Getting around the platform feels pretty user-friendly as a user and I really appreciate the wide range of content available through Cyber U along with the different content providers.
Cons
At the same time, the system can feel overwhelming to learn if you are not able to dedicate full-time focus to getting up to speed.

“a lot of configuration options”
Pros
There are a lot of configuration options available which makes it really useful for managing all of our learning content.
Cons
On the admin side, the learning curve is pretty long and complex. It really requires a full-time administrator dedicated to the platform and smaller companies may not have the capacity for that.

“Simple to deliver courseware”
Pros
Managing and delivering courseware is simple and the reporting tools are excellent. They give managers a clear way to track compliance training and stay on top of follow-up.
Cons
Because there are so many configuration options available, it's possible to overlook something important if you're not careful.
