“Admin-friendly system”
Pros
Getting started on the admin side was surprisingly manageable. Even with little to no HRIS background, I was able to run the system without needing much training.
Cons
The user side is a lot less user-friendly. We hear frequent complaints from internal users especially about certain courses only working in specific browsers which creates frustration.

“Variety of reports”
Pros
It has been a solid platform to work with. It's fairly simple to use, offers a wide range of reports and gives plenty of customization options. The deep links to courses were especially useful and made access much more convenient.
Cons
Creating knowledge tests directly within the system was confusing and keeping them updated over time was difficult to manage.

“Highly customizable interface”
Pros
The interface is excellent and highly customizable. Building, managing and taking part in trainings is very simple. It also integrates well with other systems, including Workday and the tracking and dashboard features are really strong.
Cons
At the same time making changes and handling administration can sometimes be challenging. It also doesn't perform very well on mobile devices.

“Better than older versions”
Pros
Cornerstone OnDemand is a decent cloud-based talent and management system overall. I've used LMS platforms that feel more fluid but this one is still an improvement compared with the older versions.
Cons
Having so many customization options is what I don't enjoy because it ends up making simple tasks harder to get done. I prefer systems with more simple, click-and-go functionality.

“ability to generate metrics”
Pros
ability to generate metrics and statistics for senior management is quite useful. It also does a good job of sending regular reminders about upcoming training events.
Cons
There is a fairly significant issue at times where the webpage freezes and my event registration does not go through. Even though I currently use CSOD, I'm not able to share a screenshot because of my firm's restrictions on NDS.

“Right training for new hires”
Pros
It helps us assign the right training to new hires and update training programs whenever regulations change. It's a reliable way to track everything and stay compliant.
Cons
Cornerstone isn't the most visually appealing platform and I think the user interface could definitely be improved.

“It is a clunky system for one that has a reputation for being a good Learning Management System.”
Pros
The system has a lot of features like Connect for collaboration. However, it is not very straightforward to use, the entire system feels cumbersome and not particularly intuitive for administrators. It does fare better for end users.
Cons
As a system administrator, I find it cumbersome and lacking in intuitiveness. The tasks, like setting up training classes, should be more straightforward.

“connect module gets strong feedback”
Pros
Using the new Connect module has been very simple and users have been giving us really positive feedback about it.
Cons
The more outdated side of the LMS still feels too rigid, mainly because there are so many detailed settings that make it restrictive to work with.

“Excellent LMS software”
Pros
This software enables integration with other platforms for uploading content, which was beneficial as we had diverse sources of learning materials centralized. The mass communication feature proved handy for updating participants on course changes, etc.
Cons
Initially, when we adopted Cornerstone on Demand, the Performance and Learning systems were separate, leading to duplicated effort at times. Thankfully, that issue has been resolved.

“ongoing innovation”
Pros
Using Cornerstone feels very user friendly and I really appreciate that we can suggest new enhancements every quarter. That approach helps us keep bringing fresh solutions to our internal customers and it is something they value a lot.
Cons
At times, there is almost too much flexibility although it is also a benefit because it allows us to manage things in many ways and offer a high level of customization whenever needed.

Cornerstone works really well for training needs. It gives users access to a wide range of training materials whenever they need them which makes learning much more flexible.

“Pleasant interface and connected teams”
Pros
Right away, the interface makes the end-user experience feel very pleasant. Features like Communities really help create a genuine connection between employees which adds a lot of value. It's also very appealing to have so many HR functions available in CSOD even if a few areas are still being developed. Another big advantage is being able to configure the system ourselves, with support when needed.
Cons
At first, managing user access can feel a bit complicated but once you become familiar with how it works, it gets much simpler.
