Good, but not great, replacement for SABA

Pros

It is easier to locate assigned training and monitor completion, including time spent and courses finished.

Cons

Dealing with incorrectly assigned training and no effective way to filter out unnecessary content. Sometimes, the system freezes when a new window opens to display content.

Does what it needs us to do - some challenges

Pros

Implementing Cornerstone was beneficial for us since we didn't have an LMS previously. It streamlines processes such as online registration for instructor-led training, adding completed courses to transcripts, and tracking attendance.

Cons

There are numerous challenges with setting up automatic assignments for training and other required tasks, especially with new hires.

A bit on the difficult side

Pros

As a corporate trainer, transitioning an eLearning catalog into Cornerstone LMS was part of my responsibilities. I found the finished product and the software's user interface quite appealing.

Cons

The system was not very intuitive for me to use. I'm not particularly tech-savvy, and I struggled to set things up in this system. It was quite frustrating.

Cornerstone to learn

Pros

The software's navigation and usability are commendable. It's effortless to view assigned training and deadlines, as well as to search for and enroll in other courses and classes. Tracking progress is also straightforward.

Cons

The process of signing off after completing a course or class is not as straightforward as it could be. You have to go back, open, scroll, and then click to sign. It would be better if there were fewer steps to access this signing function. I often forget to sign off after completing a training session.

Cons

LMS for Salesforce

Pros

For me, Integration with Salesforce is a plus point. The temporary licensing system is cost-effective, allowing licenses to be reallocated when users aren't actively taking courses. Compatibility with SCORM 1.2 facilitates the use of previous LMS software training courses.

Cons

In our previous software, the training department managed the software. Since this tool is integrated with Salesforce, we now depend on our Salesforce administrators.

Offering full functionality for an LMS, Cornerstone can integrate with various other enterprise systems. The introduction of new learner experience features brings a modern touch to corporate learning, and support for xAPI is a welcome addition.

Cons

Global Product Support has had issues for several years. Response times for tickets are poor. The cost can be quite high compared to other LMS companies. They demand a certain percentage increase each year, even if it isn't justified.

Overall, Cornerstone on Demand has been a frustrating process for us.

Pros

There are abundant options for customizing the layout and content, along with the ability to host various file formats, which is convenient.

Cons

Since we launched the tool, there have been behavioral issues. We continue to encounter problems with courses not loading or not being recorded as complete. Recurring training seems to work inconsistently, allowing some to retake while others cannot.

Pros

It is easy to review the course catalog, read descriptions, and enroll in courses. As an end-user, it is convenient to see if enrollment has been approved quickly. The built-in workflow for courses requiring approval is a plus.

Cons

At times, I found myself lost and frustrated trying to navigate the course catalog and could notfind the course I was looking for. After using this software a few times, I was able to navigate it much more easily.

Adding and tracking attendance for our training courses is easy to maintain with Cornerstone.

Pros

What I find most valuable about Cornerstone is its ability to add and track our courses and customers who attend them. Since most of our courses are offered virtually, effectively tracking attendance simplifies our processes.

Cons

Sometimes, our customers struggle to locate where to launch a course they are scheduled to attend. They have to navigate to their User Profile and check their transcript. While most customers can find this, some cannot. It would be preferable if it were easier, ensuring high customer attendance and facilitating continued education on our offered products.

Doesn't seem like it was built for a modern user experience.

Pros

I LIKE that Cornerstone offers a centralized portal for all our learning opportunities, transcripts, goals, and helpful tutorials, contributing to our professional development within the company.

Cons

I am not a fan of the user experience. It feels sluggish, and working on goals is not intuitive. Many actions or desired "buttons" require too many clicks and are located in unfamiliar places.

It is a clunky system for one that has a reputation for being a good Learning Management System.

Pros

The system has a lot of features like Connect for collaboration. However, it is not very straightforward to use, the entire system feels cumbersome and not particularly intuitive for administrators. It does fare better for end users.
