“feature-rich platform with great support”
Pros
I really value the customer support and the platform's powerful feature set, I can track competencies, manage multiple organizations and several assessment formats, use question banks, participate in group forums and messaging and link different account types like parent and child profiles.
Cons
In my experience the sheer number of features creates a steep learning curve for users I often found it overwhelming at the start.

“Great For Older Students & Adults”
Pros
I adore the sleek design of Cypher Learning and the ability to tailor it to our needs. We utilize it as an LMS for our online school, and our students delight in tracking their progress and grades as they advance through our courses.
Cons
Teaching students from age four to adults, our LMS design might not match the vibrant visuals our younger learners are used to. It caters more towards middle and high schoolers, college-level learners, and adult development.

“scalable lms for organizations”
Pros
There are a few things I genuinely appreciate about Matrix LMS: A) the platform lets me set up an unlimited number of sub-organizations, B) I can build courses that are easily copied and kept in sync across every sub-organization, C) it supports embedding the Immersive Reader for language translation and literacy help, D) the reporting tools are very comprehensive and E) the technical support and suggestions system has been reliable and helpful.
Cons
One thing I struggle with is that the reporting functionality is so comprehensive it becomes overwhelming, I often find it hard to pinpoint and extract the exact data I need. Also, I'm disappointed that Matrix LMS doesn't integrate with Clever which limits how I can connect it to other systems.

“custom branding with strong reporting”
Pros
For our team it was easy to customize so it matched our branding, the reporting tools are comprehensive and customer support answers quickly.
Cons
I'd like a stronger evaluation feature, things like skip logic and similar options and when I use it for eLearning courses, learners often struggle to spot the NEXT button to advance.

“Transformational learning platform but built-in e-commerce lacking”
Pros
We run very complex training programmes made up of many different components and what I really appreciate is that the learning platform is broad enough to handle every aspect of our operations. It hosts our courses, accreditations and certifications easily. The automation features have been incredibly helpful in cutting down manual tasks. Because the system covers so much ground, it was pretty overwhelming to learn at the beginning. Thankfully, the support docs are great and when I raise questions the response is prompt and helpful. I actually titled this review 'transformational' because the platform has allowed us to scale up, new learners are regularly blown away by what we've managed to build.
Cons
We were disappointed to discover that the built-in e-commerce couldn't be configured to fit our needs. Instead we rely on external integrations which do an acceptable job.

“reporting and syncing issues”
Pros
Okay so... we were introduced to the term NEO early on and the platform was customized so our school's name appears on the website which I find really helpful because it makes the whole experience feel more tailored to our community. I like the interface, it's simple once you've gone through the navigation training and moving between lessons and managing content becomes easy. During orientation at the start of the school year we implemented it in class and with steady support younger students were able to get the hang of it within about a week. It gets used a lot as a hub for communication and for accessing learning resources and I often check how much time a student has spent on content pages. Parents can also keep an eye on their children's activities and scores through parent accounts which has been useful for home-school communication. Another thing I appreciate is the ability to embed or integrate other tools teachers rely on, Google Drive, Meet, Slides and the like all sit nicely inside the interface. There's a fair variety of test types available in this tool and the automatic scoring on some assessments genuinely cuts down on the administrative time teachers spend on marking. When we need help the customer support team tends to respond, even when a complete fix isn't immediately available. All told, after more than three years using this tool I'm satisfied with how it supports our school's teaching and communication needs.
Cons
Even though this tool meets many of our needs I've found several drawbacks that are hard to ignore. For one the platform can't generate quarterly attendance reports which is limiting for our reporting cycle. I've also run into syncing issues: changes made in a parent class sometimes don't propagate to the child classes even after the system notifies me that syncing is complete. Moving a student between classes is simple in principle but while scores and comments copy over, files that students submitted in the previous class do not transfer to the new class which means losing reference outputs unless I remember to download them beforehand as a backup. There have been occasions when scores appear duplicated though refreshing the page usually resolves that. The gamification component hasn't delivered what I expected either, I initially thought assessments could be designed more like interactive games, not just driven by a leaderboard so that's been a disappointment. Notifications can become overwhelming because announcements, comments and confirmations of successful grading all flood the same feed, I'd prefer if critical items could be flagged separately or get their own icon so they stand out. Accessing it is still far smoother on a laptop or desktop, the mobile app omits some features and felt unreliable for me so I ended up uninstalling it and using my phone's browser with the "view as desktop site" option instead.

“simple lesson sharing”
Pros
I've had a really good experience using this tool. For sharing lesson materials with students and parents it works very well. In preschool especially, parents are the ones who use the system most and walking them through how to find lessons and upload or submit tasks on behalf of their kids has been pretty easy. On top of that, I find it handy for keeping lines of communication open and posting announcements so overall it's a useful tool.
Cons
There are a few areas where I think the platform could be better. I feel the attendance feature needs more flexibility so we can tailor it to our school's specific taking-of-attendance workflow which would make it much more useful day-to-day. I would also like a more adaptable gradebook that lines up with our existing grading policies. Those tweaks would make integrating this tool into our school's routines a lot smoother.

“Scalable lms for universities”
Pros
We've found the team to be outstanding from the sales reps to the help desk everyone has been super responsive, easy to collaborate with and genuinely pleasant. The platform itself fits our needs perfectly and comes at a fair price. As a busy university offering many different degrees and running six terms a year, we've relied on this tool to tailor the system to our complex schedule and requirements and they've consistently gone the extra mile. Recently, we linked course and program outcomes to assignments through the platform's competency tool which I believe is going to significantly improve how we handle assessment and support our accreditation efforts.
Cons
I honestly can't come up with any drawbacks to this tool, we've been extremely pleased with the company and its service.

“feature-rich friendly interface”
Pros
What I really like is the friendly interface combined with the wide range of features which allows us to work on a very comprehensive and user-friendly platform with plenty of activities for students.
Cons
Although NEO is clearly a very comprehensive platform packed with features, I'm concerned that some smaller institutions simply won't have the budget to afford it.
