“Single hub for all our essential company info

Pros

It is great having a single location for all our essential information. We can handle everything from credentialing and staff monitoring to training, education credits and company policies all in one platform. In short the range of available options is huge!

Cons

I really wish there was a resource library with guides on how to use its various tools, so I could look things up when I need a refresher.

We really value having all of our company-wide training accessible on a single platform. It also gives us the freedom to upload and manage our own custom-made corporate training materials.

Umm I used to be able to generate a simple report showing everyone in a department who had finished their courses but that feature is gone. Now I have to create a separate, time-consuming report for every single person.

What works well for me is being able to include a lot of detail on enrollments and track their status. Pulling the specific reports I need is another feature I rely on a lot

Cons

The frequent updates are frustrating for me. And the platform often gets very slow or completely crashes.

My favorite part is that its usefulness grows with your effort and the more you explore what it can do, the more value your company gets out of the platform.

It could be more flexible for our needs. For instance I would love to customize the SDS binder for different job roles to make everything more organized.

The best aspect of MedTrainer is not just how user-friendly it is but it is also that their support team is always ready to assist us with any question along the way.

So far I have not found anything to dislike. Whenever you have a question, the support team is always available to guide you through it.

“Simple to use but reporting is a challenge

Using MedTrainer is simple whether you are an administrator or a learner. Also the dashboards are clear, simple to interpret and easy to get around.

It has become much harder to pull simple reports. With our large, multi-division company I used to easily generate a report anytime to see who had unfinished training but thats no longer a simple task.

It is a simple and effective tool for handling our compliance needs. Also there is a vast array of functions to use and discover. Overall my time with it has been fantastic.

Cons

No issues to report as I am still getting familiar with everything. It's been positive so far though onboarding a new hire who previously worked at a different location was a bit tricky.

“A fantastic platform for creating custom training courses

Pros

I am a big fan of the course creation feature. Plus being able to build our own custom training lessons is a fantastic capability.

Cons

The training modules can be unreliable at times. We would also like faster responses from our service representative and a quicker turnaround on support tickets.

Assigning and monitoring our Annual Staff Training is effortless which helps us maintain compliance. The available courses are a perfect match for what we need.

I do not have any issues with it. The support team and staff are always there to help if any problems come up.

The educational content is excellent and covers a wide range of topics. Plus the regular knowledge checks do a great job of keeping us involved with the everything.

Getting the training modules set up can be a bit tricky but it's manageable. I do like being able to see who has not finished their assignments and send them out again.

My staff finds it simple to get into their required courses. The OSHA compliance reports are also incredibly useful. So I would definitely suggest it to any company.

The process of assigning courses is confusing because there are two different due dates to set. We also get way too many notification emails every time a staff member finishes a class.

It's super helpful how easy it is to keep track of payer enrollments and build custom reports. I live in the Provider Enrollments dashboard, though I wish it showed a couple more pieces of information. Also, having all the approved packets in one spot with the Privileges and Appointments section is really convenient. I especially like how it links straight to the provider's profile

Cons

One thing I noticed is that the Credentialing tools just do not work well for our needs. I am also frustrated that updates often seem half-finished and they disrupt how the platform works and force me to find temporary fixes or perform the same task in several different areas.

“User-friendly platform for onboarding

Pros

The platform is so user-friendly that it is actually enjoyable and I am impressed by how simple it is to guide new hires through the onboarding steps.

Cons

Well the incident reporting feature is not my favorite. Our employees, especially across various departments often find it hard to use.

It was so simple to manage and assign our yearly training, distribute company policies and keep track of licenses and CPR certifications.

The platform used to be user friendly but now it feels like we have to dig around to find what we need. Also the QuikCred feature is not valuable enough for the cost.

Pros

MedTrainer software is easy to use and serves many different purposes. The large fonts and color scheme make everything easy to read and navigate. They also consistently roll out updates that improve the experience for Administrators.

There's a bit of a glitch with the onboarding tool. Right now, it kicks off based on the date we add someone to the system, not their real start date, which throws the whole schedule off

Pros

The system is very simple and direct. Generating reports is no trouble and it is the best for uploading certifications and other policy documents.

I really wish the search function was easier and did not require so many clicks to find anything.

Honestly, this is an amazing resource for adding training modules that fit right in with our hospital's policies and regulatory requirements.

Uploading some types of content can be slow on it. Also the calendar on the student's main page does not always refresh to show the most recent class schedules.

What I really like is how MedTrainer sorts certain trainings into compliance and regulatory groups. Since that's my agencys main focus, it makes it easy to find those specific courses and keep them at the top of our learning list.

Cons

My main suggestion is to offer more courses focused on behavioral health as well as HR topics like employee development and wellness.

“Unreliable and unhelpful system

Pros

We were not satisfied with the platform and discovered other systems that fit our requirements better. Unfortunately we were locked into a contract that no longer worked for us.

Cons

The support team is not very helpful and the platform is hard to navigate. There also is not enough training content for fields outside of healthcare. Other companies provide a superior system for a better price.

Keeping up with compliance is simple with MedTrainer because of its simple design, effective training modules and smooth document handling.

I wish a few of the tools were more flexible, since we had a lot of our own internal training we wanted to consolidate into a single location.
