“user-friendly and practical”
Pros
Using Trainual has been a really positive experience. It's practical, user-friendly and I am genuinely glad a colleague pointed us in its direction.
Cons
Honestly I don't have any complaints which is pretty rare for software these days.

“fantastic onboarding and smart tools”
Pros
The onboarding team and customer support have been incredible. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure I feel confident, supported and comfortable using Trainual. The interface is clean and packed with useful features which makes it simple to build training content that feels clear, engaging and easy to read inside the platform. I also get a lot of value from the smart writing tools as they help shorten, expand, summarize and tighten up content quickly. On top of that the insert options make it convenient to add documents, videos, images, tables and even GIFs.
Cons
Moving all of your existing content into the platform definitely takes time but honestly that would be true with any tool like this. I still think it's well worth the effort. The best approach is to plan ahead and take full advantage of the onboarding team since they work with this process all the time and can offer really helpful guidance on setting things up in a way that fits your team.

“Perfect training content hub”
Pros
Creating and managing content is very easy for admins and the platform is just as simple for end users to navigate and use.
Cons
There really isn't much to complain about. If I could change one thing, I'd give end users a bit more flexibility in how they view and organize content on their own home screen but that's honestly the only improvement I'd make.

“updates are proven helpful”
Pros
Trainual software was easy to use. I also really like how often they roll out updates, how many integrations they offer and how responsive the customer support team is. The mobile app is very user-friendly and fits well with our younger staff, while the desktop version makes it convenient to edit content and track completion. The reporting tools and public sharing options are also really useful. Trainual University has been a helpful resource too.
Cons
I'd like to see training paths included in the basic plan. It would also be helpful to have a built-in video feature that stops employees from skipping ahead or fast-forwarding through the videos.

“helpful updates, limited tracking”
Pros
It keeps improving over time and each update usually brings useful changes. I honestly cannot recall a feature release that felt pointless or underwhelming.
Cons
One frustration is how hard it is to reset group progress for specific topics and the individual date tracking still feels limited. For the kind of work I do, it would be much better to see how long users spent on content, use date ranges to review completions and have more flexibility when resetting progress for groups.

“engaging training with clear tracking”
Pros
The interface keeps things interactive and enjoyable to use and having access to videos makes the training content much more helpful. Grade tracking is also a big plus because it's simple to monitor progress and see how everyone is doing.
Cons
I feel like the thing that could be better is the lack of integration with the systems we already use which makes the workflow feel a bit disconnected.

“engaging manuals that stand out”
Pros
The thing that really keeps me using this software is how simple it is to work with, plus it has a modern, impressive feel to it. It lets you build manuals that are actually interesting and engaging instead of boring.
Cons
It definitely isn't inexpensive and for a small business it feels more like a serious investment than a casual software purchase.

“process docs that keep improving”
Pros
One thing that has worked really well for us with Trainual is how clearly it helps us document our processes and set consistent standards across the team and the business. The platform keeps getting better too, with new features that are genuinely helpful for creating documentation or making it easier for the team to access it. They've even come up with off-platform tools like tap buttons you can use with your phone to pull up a preset process which is a pretty smart addition. We've been using it for quite a while and they've consistently honored our earlier pricing while moving us into the right feature tier so the cost has stayed reasonable. Creating documentation is also easy with tools like AI, PDF imports, GIFs and more and the desktop interface is simple to move around in. The reporting is also really valuable for tracking who has read what and who has completed training on specific content.
Cons
The biggest challenge for us isn't entirely the tool itself but getting the team to actually rely on it instead of just asking someone else how to handle a process. Right now, it still feels a bit too peripheral to how our business operates day to day. Part of that comes from the mobile experience being confusing. On both the mobile app and mobile site, it can be harder than it should be to locate processes especially since the general knowledge library lives separately from what appears on the dashboard. That setup makes it feel like there are basically two different places where processes exist and the dashboard side can sometimes be harder to navigate.

“Company Content That's Easy, Fun, and Powerful”
Pros
The platform is remarkably user-friendly and engaging. Normally, writing company procedures can be time-consuming and draining, lacking any sense of fun. However, with this platform, I find myself actually enjoying the process and wanting to come back for more. The AI features for creating general policies make content creation exceptionally easy, and the support provided by the Trainual staff is exceptional.
Cons
I currently don't have any dislikes, and that's quite remarkable!

“Easy to create policies and accountability”
Pros
The software is incredibly easy to use, thanks to the excellent templates that help get you started. The integrated video and image functionality is a great addition, and the responsive support team is always there to assist.
Cons
I would like to be able to direct a signed acknowledgement (such as an Employee Handbook acknowledgment) to a specific employee. Currently, acknowledgements are sent to the "reports to" person, and if no direct report is listed, they go to the Billing Admin. I need acknowledgement emails/attachments to be directed to an HE employee. I reached out to Trainual Support, and while they were responsive, they informed me that this feature is not possible.
