“powerful knowledge hub”
Pros
Having a great content system is one of the few ways a business can truly scale and grow in a big way. Trainual gives us that foundation by turning best practices and playbooks into one central resource, instead of relying on founders or leaders to carry everything around as walking SOPs. Now the team has a single place to access critical knowledge whenever they need it. It also keeps training consistent and documenting everything has made our processes stronger while helping us spot and fix issues much faster.
Cons
One thing that could be improved is the quiz setup. Right now, answers are shown after the first attempt which makes it too tempting for people to just copy the correct responses instead of going back to the material and actually learning it before trying again. The user directory is also a valuable feature but it would be much more useful if admins had the option to add extra fields, whether custom or standard, like a second phone number or work phone.

“Offers control over training”
Pros
One thing that really works well is how thorough it is. It also gives users the best control over how and when they complete their training.
Cons
I really don't have any complaints. It's user friendly and very easy to use.

“pretty simple setup”
Pros
Trainual is easy to use and rolling it out didn't take much effort. It has a nice balance of flexibility while still keeping things simple to work with.
Cons
One thing that was challenging was visualizing how the full structure would look from the beginning. I'd really like a system chart or layout tool that I could set up first before building out the SOPs.

“handy mobile search access”
Pros
Being able to keep Trainual on our employees' phones was the biggest advantage for us and the search feature made it simple to quickly pull up whatever topic they needed.
Cons
The part that didn't really work for me was the way the software was organized. There wasn't anything actually wrong with it but it felt like more than we needed and ended up being a bit of a hassle. Just a personal preference.

“allows training customization”
Pros
One thing that really works well with Trainual is how much of the training you can tailor to fit exactly what your team needs. There are so many customizable parts which makes it feel adaptable instead of complex.
Cons
A limitation I have noticed is that quizzes and tests cannot be inserted in the middle of sections. It would be really helpful to have the option to go back later and add a quiz once you realize that section needs one.

“Ideal knowledge base setup”
Pros
Trainual is amazing especially as an initial step toward building a more formal knowledge base. Setting everything up was easy too and it was simple to customize the system so it fit exactly how we wanted to use it.
Cons
One challenge with it is that just when you get comfortable with certain features, they sometimes get changed or removed. Usually those updates are meant to improve things and make the features more user-friendly but at times they happen without much warning. Aside from that, it's an excellent product.

“training delivery done right”
Pros
It has been proven a fantastic way to roll out training content and it makes the whole training process incredibly convenient for both learners and trainers.
Cons
Every now and then, it runs into a few bugs. They don't take away from its overall purpose but it's definitely an area that could be improved.

“has helpful visual training tools”
Pros
Learning on the computer is easy thanks to the visual and audio guidance and being able to replay lessons anytime is really useful when I need a refresher.
Cons
At times it is like our activity is being monitored while we use it and the reminders to watch videos we haven't reviewed yet can feel a bit pushy.
