“There are better ERPs”
Pros
There are options in security to have selective visibility across the ERP. There is some drill down capabilities, which is better than DOS based systems. There is documentation built into the platform to some extent. The system does have an approval system using at least two options: must approve and notify, which is nice - but standard.
Cons
The specific items we asked about were told are a thing within this ERP, and it was quickly learned that a lot of those aren't possible. The team that helped with implimentation had stated that common accounting practices weren't possible in the system with one example being moving a fixed asset from one EPlant to another, which turned out to be incorrect information from the implimentation team. The training the company received was either so low or non-existant that morale in the [full] ERP conversion significantly dropped by the time we went live. The GL account view is subpar in comparison to other reports I've seen throughout my use of both DOS based and UI based ERP systems and could use massive improvements to the drill down capability within this area. It is possible to drill down to the Journal Entry that affected a specific GL account, but cannot drill into an invoice entry or FA module transaction. Creating a Journal Entry is pretty standard, and it is nice to not duplicate an entry for it to reverse in a following period. Trial Balance reports show the information that I would need to complete my yearly tasks, although there is no drill down capability within the report I use as it was expressed to us that there was. The Accounts Payable reports seem like they have been skimped out on and feel like an incomplete list of what AP would utilize in their daily activity. A cost source must be assigned to the purchase order before receiving in for the purchase order to be appropriately linked into a fixed asset and the invoice data to show in the history tab. The depreciation schedule options aren't as verbose as other asset management systems and is lacking several options for the various use cases of other methods to reflect accurate information. The asset database isn't linked directly into the work centers, which can be frustrating with communications between the production floor and finance. When inquired on making suggestions on improvements to development from customers, the message I received in the answer is "there's no rhyme or reason suggestions and features would get updated/implimented, and it's unlikely it would be done unless multiple companies would want the same thing". This kind of answer discourages ideas to improve upon this system that is coming from the end user. There have been several generated ideas that are commonplace in finance that was met with "that will not happen" in relation to developing additional depreciation methods. Customer support has been subpar as well. When a question is asked, it seems like they give a generalized answer that can be found in the system's built in guide, but does not expand on this further to help resolve an issue or answer a question. The User Interface seems a bit archaic as well with a file type selection at the top and visual icons to select from. There is also a concern on how slow the system will become as time progresses and more data is added to the ERP. It's already showing signs of slowing down and we are around the six month mark of being live on this ERP. The document manager is also an unnecessarily convoluted process for what it does. For all of the information I've gathered from experiences from various different people and the price tag of this ERP - I would not recommend this ERP to anyone and would suggest a leading competitor in place of this one.

“Great disappointment”
Pros
I had expected the software to have drilldown capabilities.
Cons
Operating the software is very cumbersome. Tasks that should require one action end up taking 3 or 4 often necessitating the closure of one window to open another.

“Delmiaworks is great for real-time production monitoring”
Pros
Our company benefits from real time production monitoring inventory management and sales order generation.
Cons
In the current version the accounting side was a challenging process to develop in order to synchronize the perpetual GL balance with the GL without a massive entry. Although we've received great support over the past few years this still requires daily management. We hope the new version with IACJ will reduce the labor intensity and allow us to streamline daily transactions.

“IQMS USER”
Pros
This software is incredibly easy to use. We switched from an accounting software four years ago and this software has been a much better fit for us.
Cons
There is a significant learning curve associated with this software and it feels like there's always more to learn. Efficient utilization may be a perpetual challenge.

“IQMS Review”
Pros
I'm really impressed with the software we evaluated for our company especially its specialized functionalities for MetalStamping companies. One of the standout features is its dedicated module for labeling and printing which is rarely found in ERP systems.
Cons
The user interface is not very user friendly and appears outdated. Though it provides a wealth of information on one screen it can be confusing to read and understand at times.

“Disappointed - wrong move - guided in the wrong direction”
Pros
I wasn't satisfied with the features during the exploration phase.
Cons
The WMS portion is a disaster. The Pick module is a nightmare orders can't be batched every order PO requires handling label generation takes too long and the system "locks up" during label printing preventing further work.

Pros
It's user friendly! Despite not having prior experience with an integrated system I was able to lead a team and successfully implement various aspects including workstation installs and setting up barcoding and scanning for Warehouse management.
Cons

“GAME CHANGER”
Pros
As we aimed to expand we realized that our current platform couldn't support it. After implementing IQMS we built a platform that allowed us to double our business while maintaining a high quality scorecard with major customers like GM Magna BorgWarner and ZF. This technology was truly transformative.
Cons
The SPC/quality module feels like a fringe element of the system. It would be beneficial to have a more robust quality module that includes PPAP control plans and FMEA analysis.

“Strong Manufacturing Floor Integration for Injection Molders”
Pros
Provides real time monitoring of work centers with a visual display of the current operational status.
Cons
The Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) setup is unique for each customer. It would be helpful to have standard packages available for common EDI end customers such as FCA including labels and reports with welldefined requirements.

“Searching for the right ERP solution”
Pros
This option offers a comprehensive range of solutions from Quote and Project Management to ERP and Quality. Most ERP solutions in the Automotive industry can only provide certain parts of the functionality you're looking for. It's also often challenging to incorporate time and attendance and production floor status dashboards. We chose IQMS because it provides all the required solutions in one implementation. Additionally it has a robust Preventative Maintenance solution linked to production reporting and the purchase order module handles inventory from MRP and MRO requirements.
Cons
While the Asset Management module doesn't meet GAAP auditing requirements it can assist the Preventative Maintenance group with purchasing history.
