“ETQ Reliance - Upgrade Nightmare from v17 to v2023
Pros
In V17, I found some great features like the ability to use long file names, easy document attachments, and simple filters. In V2023a they improved the logout time to prevent documents from being locked for too long. Now, I can drag and drop attachments and download multiple files simultaneously. The Saved Filters feature is also more user-friendly.
Cons
When we upgraded from v17 to v2023 we noticed a significant difference in performance. The newer version takes three times longer to perform simple tasks compared to its predecessor. It's frustrating that text doesn't stay open, and we have to reopen it frequently. Moreover the attachment box is too large, making it difficult to identify and delete specific items when there are more than ten listed. The tabs for multiple modules are confusing and the colors used are dull and provide no useful distinction like the previous version did.

“Streamlining Quality Management with ETQ Reliance: A Comprehensive Review
Pros
Based on my experience with ETQ Reliance I have found the software to be incredibly intuitive, offering a comprehensive set of features that effortlessly streamline various quality processes within a single platform. One aspect I particularly appreciate is the customizable workflows, allowing me to tailor the software to meet my organizations specific requirements. The reporting and analytics capabilities have been invaluable in gaining insights into our quality management processes and identifying areas for improvement. Furthermore, ETQs customer support has been excellent, providing prompt and helpful responses to any questions or concerns I have had. Overall I highly recommend ETQ Reliance as a robust and customizable solution for quality management.
Cons
In my personal experience with ETQ Reliance, I encountered a few drawbacks. The software is quite costly and requires a significant investment from our organization. While the customization features are impressive it did take some time and effort to become proficient in using them. Additionally there were performance issues when handling large volumes of data, which was frustrating. Nevertheless, I still believe that ETQ Reliance is a robust and comprehensive quality management solution and I would recommend it to other organizations in need of such a system.

“ETQ Reliance: Platform to make people learn
Pros
ETQ Reliance QMS has been instrumental in helping us understand and manage various processes including company policies, work instructions, and employee roles and responsibilities. A significant advantage of ETQ Reliance QMS is the timely notifications for policy, work instruction and document updates.
Cons
One aspect of ETQ Reliance QMS that is least helpful is the occasional discrepancies in work instructions which may differ from how our company utilizes them. It would be more efficient if updates were mentioned instead of reassigning the entire document for training. Additionally the document download process could be improved.

“Easy to Learn and Use!
Pros
This software is straightforward to learn and use and I appreciate the continuous efforts to enhance their product and services. As someone new to quality systems and taking on an administrative role, the transition has been made smoother by the educational tools and support provided by ETQ. Our company utilizes Reliance for Document Control, CAPAs, Waivers, Nonconforming Materials, Assets, Calibration and Maintenance and Quality Records with plans to implement their Training Management module and other applications. The ability to integrate this software with other systems is an added advantage as we strive to improve our internal processes.
Cons
ETQ is pushing for a transition to SAAS, but our company is not ready for that change just yet. I have concerns that services and improvements for on-premises customers may start to decline as the focus shifts towards SAAS.

“The One-Stop-Shop For Any Management System
Pros
Since implementing document control and employee training with ETQ we have seamlessly transferred and integrated older systems. We have come a long way from those outdated tools and made everyones job significantly easier. The transparency and sharing capabilities achieved through ETQ have been monumental
Cons
Some of the preconfigured solutions in modules like Employee Training and Assets can be challenging to adapt to our specific needs.

“Symmetry Surgical : EtQ for a mid size organization with limited resources for software management.
Pros
The product is user friendly and can be easily adopted on the shop floor with basic computer skills. For a medical device organization, the out of the box software fulfills the basic compliance requirements and follows a typical workflow. Minimal configuration is needed to align it with specific organizational needs. The connection profiles and excel import sheets make loading master data extremely simple. Once a module is successfully implemented as a pilot, rolling it out to other facilities becomes effortless. The notifications and views greatly enhance activity management and follow-up requirements.
Cons
If you have someone in your QA organization with IT skills, configuring the software is straightforward. It works best when managed within the department rather than relying heavily on IT resources or dedicated personnel. This may pose some challenges for organizations that lack internal IT expertise. Other software options may offer more drag and drop functionality, but they also come with limitations in terms of configuration flexibility. In our current version of the software, collaboration in document approval routing is difficult, resulting in multiple rejections and re routings that can be frustrating for approvers. However I believe newer versions have addressed this issue more effectively.

“Highly configurable QMS platform with dozens of built-in modules/applications
Pros
I love the high level of configurability of the platform and the ability to import and migrate data from other systems. The pre built modules are well-designed and integrated, creating a comprehensive quality experience that aligns with ISO-9001 requirements. The "designer" experience is robust and offers limitless capabilities, enabling us to replace multiple legacy applications even when there is no similar pre-built option available. The employees at ETQ are passionate about the product and prioritize customer satisfaction. The built-in support for system-level language translations is also a fantastic feature. The backend database structure is well architected and the addition of the ETQ Academy has been highly beneficial for users to learn about pre-built modules without the need for formal demos. While there have been organizational changes at ETQ. I am very happy with the current direction the company is heading in.
Cons
Many new users find the software less intuitive to use and navigate. The cost of licenses has significantly increased over the years, and features that were previously free now come at a price (upgrades, SaaS environment clones, etc.). The new Reliance "NXG" ("Next Generation") product raises security concerns due to its multi-tenant hosting architecture. Not having access to our data via SQL in NXG is a major obstacle, and we won't upgrade until there's a viable alternative that does not require additional costs. The mobile app experience lacks functionality, such as support for Visibility Rules and the ability to approve a document. The built in web services (APIs) are inadequate and could benefit from a refresh with expanded capabilities. Additionally ETQ Insights, a reporting platform, should be included in the base platform rather than being an add on that needs to be purchased separately.

“One stop app for Quality management
Pros
Being in the field of Clinical Data Management, I've noticed that each organization follows its own unique data management procedures. To understand my organization's standard protocols and templates, this software has been incredibly useful.
Cons
I genuinely find ETQ Reliance to be incredibly helpful, and I appreciate its ability to track my document progress and training completion dates and times. The updates and version history feature greatly contribute to improving quality management.

“Two Companies, One Guy
Pros
I have worked as a programmer in this software package for two different companies, one in the Nuclear Fuel industry and the other in Flavors & Fragrances. Despite the distinct industries, the fundamentals remain the same. The "Out-of-the-Box" functionality is consistent for all users and can be individually configured to meet their needs.
Cons
Subsequent software versions have restricted certain programming capabilities, which initially required some adjustment. However, I understand the reasons behind these limitations and the need for standardized configurations.

“ETQ Reliance
Pros
The software's flexibility and configurability are exceptional. It allows for decentralized administration across local sites.
Cons
The recent upgrade has resulted in diminished support and slower performance. It seems that ETQ is prioritizing its cloud solution, leaving on-premises customers uncertain about their options. Unfortunately the cloud solution is too expensive for many of us, exacerbating the lack of ongoing support and development.

“The Benefits of EtQ Reliance
Pros
Besides its user-friendly interface, one of the best aspects of Reliance is its configurability. It doesn't restrict users to a one size fits all solution; instead, it can be configured to accommodate different processes.
Cons
Since migrating to the cloud, we have lost real-time access to the database for reporting and troubleshooting purposes. Tasks that we used to handle independently, such as cloning environments and dropping schemas, now require additional charges.

“ETQ Reliance is a Great Software for ensuring Food Safety Management System Compliance
Pros
Some aspects that I find most appealing about the software are: - Setting up new users is straightforward, and they quickly grasp the system as end users. - Managing change control for documents and materials is easily handled. - Integrating Office documents with the software is simple and reduces redundancy when updating revision numbers.
Cons
There are a few elements in the software that I find less favorable. For instance, the inability to save usernames and passwords for easier login and the need to download and reupload documents for change requests. It would be more convenient if changes could be saved and automatically updated within the system.

“5 Star History, Uncertain Future
Pros
Historically, the organization has been highly customer focused. However with each subsequent acquisition, this aspect seems to decline. Its not uncommon for customer focus to diminish when smaller companies are continuously acquired. Older versions of the software were highly flexible and easy to configure. They were deployed quickly and offered great value compared to competitors. Newer versions are less flexible than the original, but still easier to handle compared to competitor platforms which helps keep costs in check when utilizing in-house resources. The marketing team is fantastic, and customer support is generally good. Level 1 support seems to experience turnover and lacks experience but the leadership and intention are top notch. The online user training through the Academy and customer forums are excellent resources.
Cons
Currently ETQ seems to be undergoing a significant shift in its offering, and the future roadmap appears unclear for long time customers like myself. It seems that the new development choices prioritize simplifying the product for the benefit of ETQ which can be frustrating for customers who were initially sold on different features. While newer customers may be satisfied with the "new" value proposition, older customers are dissatisfied and their frustration is growing.

“Product Review
Pros
Our company utilizes the document control module of ETQ Reliance to meet our ISO certification requirements. Overall, the module is highly customizable, with only a few limitations. It is a easy to use product.
Cons
The available learning material in the library can sometimes be difficult to find but I have communicated this concern to customer support, and they have taken it into consideration.
