A scalable multi-staged product
Pros

Managing requirements and changes is made easier with the inclusion of upstream and downstream relationships to requirements, use cases, design, and tests.

Cons

It's become quite expensive for our organization to maintain. Exporting documents requires numerous adjustments to make them presentable.

I use Jama daility and love it
Pros

My requirements are effectively tracked, and I appreciate how Jama facilitates collaboration among engineers for requirement related tasks. Implementing and using Jama Reviews and the change process is straightforward. The recent addition of e-signatures for approvers has been instrumental in establishing requirement baselines.

Cons

I would like to mention that Differentiating between admin access and create access has been challenging, although Jama recently made changes to the admin usage, which has helped. However, the baselining feature is not robust enough as items are baselined per review regardless of approvals or rejections.

Jama Connect Review
Pros

Jama serves as a collaborative platform that fosters collective decision making and provides a medium for keeping decision records. It also acts as an information archive and offers a user-friendly interface for presenting data.

Cons

The training process proved to be cumbersome and took longer than expected. Managing reviews and ensuring workflow compliance was also a challenge.

Jama Connect Review
Pros

The intuitive functionality and userFriendly interface of Jama make it stand out. It allows for requirement traceability and versioning, while its filter application surpasses that of most competitors in the market.

Cons

The text editor can be a bit tricky for first-time users and could benefit from improved intuitiveness. Additionally, the filtering functionality could be made more convenient to use.

Jama for document development
Pros

I'm particularly fond of how Jama effectively tracks changes. When creating a document, it allows for simultaneous editing by multiple individuals, surpassing the functionality of Word in this aspect.

Cons

Jama's unique features make it different from other document software, leading to a learning curve for some individuals.

Jama Review from a True User
Pros

Opting for Jama as a web-based solution presents several advantages, including its affordability compared to DOORS. Additionally, it has a shallow learning curve, eliminating the need for professional IT engineers to maintain the system.

Cons

Exporting and importing data is highly inconvenient. Currently, only exporting to Excel is supported, but the exported sheet's format differs from what is seen in Jama, requiring significant time to reformat it. Integration with third-party tools, such as support for EA and Github, is not ideal.

I have used Jama for the past couple months to keep track of requirements for new product.
Pros

The most remarkable aspect of Jama is its creation of an easily navigable and flexible system that enables our company to keep track of system, sub-system, and component requirements, especially for products undergoing FDA approval.

Cons

Once you understand how to use the software and establish your workflow, it becomes relatively simple. However, it did take me a bit of time to grasp the workflow when I was first introduced to it.

Excellent for requirements traceability
Pros

Jama offers a wide range of functionalities that are ideal for complex requirement traceability, and its notification system is exceptionally effective.

Cons

At times, the software can be a bit sluggish. Additionally, if you don't have an enterprise license, the number of users who can stay logged in simultaneously is limited.

Good choice for requirement management
Pros

With over one and a half years of experience using Jama, I appreciate the systematic organization of requirements within the platform. The search option works well, displaying all related requirements when I enter a keyword. The requirement review feature is especially useful as it preserves all comments and enables me to track the closure of open questions and comments. Additionally, the notification service provided by Jama is highly reliable.

Cons

I feel like Loading and navigating Jama could be improved. Sometimes, there is noticeable delay. While the homepage contains essential information, enhancing the GUI's look and feel could make it more visually appealing. It would also be convenient if Jama implemented auto-login using Windows login password, similar to other software I use. Currently, I have to manually enter my Windows login/password every time I want to access Jama.

User friendly high level of customization.
Pros

I encountered no significant difficulties incorporating risk management into the Jama tool. The user interface is intuitive and feels natural, making it easy to set up. Furthermore, Jama consumes minimal resources and performs exceptionally well without being resource-intensive. Notably, the current license scheme only requires paying licenses for content creators, while approvers, reviewers, viewers, and others can access the system for free.

Cons

The reports are closely tied to Word and Excel which might limit their usability. It would be beneficial to adopt open formats that can be used across multiple platforms instead.
