Pros
While Sage is reliable and has a reputable brand, newer and more modern software options have provided better service.
Cons
The reporting capabilities are subpar and the software's interface has limited compatibility with other applications. The user interface is not intuitive, and the brand hasn't kept up with technological advancements.

“Proper training required”
Pros
The ability to switch between companies quickly is a major advantage for me. The inventory valuation feature is a significant improvement.
Cons
This software lacks intuitiveness. You need to know exactly what you're looking for to find things efficiently. Upgrading from Sage 50 to Sage 100 surprised me with the learning curve. Truthfully the only similarity between the two versions is the word "Sage" in their names.

Pros
Sage Intelligence Reporting is incredible. We have a specific financial reporting format that we prefer and Sage Intelligence helped us set up that format. Now we can simply save the template and push a button to generate the report.
Cons
The paperless office feature could be more user-friendly and provide an easier way to search and view detailed information within the software.

Pros
The visual integrator is a valuable tool for importing files, and Sage Intelligence caters to our customized reporting needs.

Some of the standard built-in reports, like sales orders by item and product line, aren't easily exportable to Excel and look better on paper.

“Great software for a small growing business”
Pros
The customer service for Sage has been exceptional. They go above and beyond to help resolve any issues we encounter. Sage's scalability has allowed the software to grow alongside our needs. For optimal functionality, it is best to use third party software that has partnered with Sage to receive updates and perform testing before new updates are released.
Cons
Upgrading sometimes brings enhancements but also sacrifices certain functionalities. For example, printing travelers now requires more steps to complete. Creating custom reports and integrations can be costly since we need a Sage reseller for support.

“Long Time User”
Pros
The best aspect of Sage is its flexibility to adapt to our business needs. Like any company we have unique requirements, and as we identified those needs, we were able to customize Sage to fit them perfectly.
Cons
The interface feels clunky. As a result we mainly use Sage for back-office tasks and have created a separate website to present customer and product information in a more robust manner than the standard Sage package.

Pros
The day to day use of the software functions smoothly.
Cons
Every time we update the software or switch to a new version, we encounter glitches that require support assistance. It has become more challenging to create custom reports for payroll since its now a standalone module.

Pros

Cons
Customization or troubleshooting sometimes necessitates assistance from our software partner, which can become quite costly.

“Specific software for larger companies needing to track lots of aspects”
Pros
The ability to make adjustments on the go like creating new vendors or customer accounts is a feature I enjoy. The alias function within the inventory module is also useful. Although there were some integration issues that required external assistance, they were resolved, and the system became smoother.
Cons
As a newcomer to Sage over five years ago and someone responsible for training new employees throughout the years, I found the training process challenging. There is an overwhelming amount of information and numerous intricate details that initially make the program feel daunting (in all honesty, I believe there is much more to Sage than I will ever fully comprehend). Once you become accustomed to it, I find it relatively straightforward to use, but the initial experience can be a bit overwhelming.

“Not the best but it works”
Pros
It certainly works but the booking process can be quite cumbersome. We do experience occasional server downtime every two weeks, requiring a reboot.
Cons
I do not understand why I continue to pay annually and yet remain stuck on the 2017 version. When I inquire about upgrading to the current year, they mention additional costs without specifying the amount. Since I host the software on my servers, it leaves me wondering what exactly I am paying for.

Pros

“SAGE 100C - robust solution”
Pros
This end to end ERP solution offers robust modules designed for large scale implementations and now its reasonably priced for smaller companies without compromising functionality.
Cons
Sage is a comprehensive product clearly designed for large organizations with numerous users. However, in a small company, it can feel burdensome as there are no quick transactions or shortcuts available. While the Crystal reporting suite is feature-rich, creating reports efficiently requires a true Crystal expert. Unfortunately, there is no option for quickly generating ad hoc reports, and unless you're fluent in Crystal, building a report for a single use often takes too much time.

“Sage 100Cloud”
Pros
The product guides users through modules effortlessly, allowing me to delegate ownership to various departments and monitor their progress. Sage University has been a great resource, providing comprehensive training that helps individuals understand how their use of Sage impacts the entire organization.
Cons
The update process involves too many redundant steps. Additionally, completed items like sales orders and work orders cannot be reopened, and there is no capability to utilize recurring invoicing through AR while maintaining a tie-out with the ship-to address for sales tax purposes.

“Sage 100c 2017 - 2019 review”
Pros
One of the standout features is User Define Fields (UDF), which allows end users to add custom fields without the need for programming or a value-added reseller. The Visual Integrator (Import/Export utility) is also excellent for data uploads and exports. Memo Fields are highly useful, and the Paperless Office feature, along with the ability to email invoices and purchase orders, is very convenient. Sage Intelligence reporting is a mixed experience, it's easy to build reports but the runtime can be lengthy compared to standard Sage financial reports.
Cons
The inventorys use of the Extended Description baffles me. It creates significant challenges for data imports and exports. If your company engages in drop shipments, understanding how it works is crucial. On the inventory side, it leads to a lack of visibility. Moving invoices from one batch to another is limited, as no one can be in the batch, resulting in after hours invoice transfers. Running the Period End process for a module locks out users, often requiring it to be done outside of business hours. Sage's inventory physical count area, such as cycle counting, is lacking.
