One of the reasons we chose Henning Software in 2002 was its adaptability and ability to customize the software according to our companys needs. This aspect still holds true today. Attending the user conferences every year exposes me to how other users utilize the system, giving me inspiration for potential improvements within our own company.
Cons
The aspect I find least likeable about the software is its inability to resize screens within ET. It would be great to have a more cloud-compatible version, which I believe the upcoming update will address.

The software developers consistently enhance and upgrade the software to meet the requirements of its users. Customer support is attentive and prompt. The manufacturing module and accounting module synergize effectively.
Cons
I have no complaints. As the program has expanded, so has its selection of options and reports. It would be helpful if users could customize or minimize menus according to their preferences, as it would simplify things and streamline the process.

This software is user-friendly, with many features being self-explanatory. In case assistance is needed, a simple call to customer service schedules a phone conference. On the rare occasion that an immediate resolution is not possible, they hold morning meetings to discuss solutions, and you typically receive an answer within a day or two of the conference. Instances where immediate solutions are not available are rare.
Cons
I haven't come across anything I dislike about the software. If theres a specific feature missing, you can usually pay a fee for Henning to develop it. However, there was one capability I requested that wasn't currently available but was assured it would be considered in the near future. I completely understand the response in this case because the desired capability requires collaboration with a vending software that Henning isn't associated with. The fact that they are willing to explore it in the future demonstrates their commitment to customer satisfaction.

I am currently in the implementation phase and working with them on some upgrades. The transparency of the reporting and the logical structure of the system are particularly impressive. It is easy to trace not only our processes but also the calculations behind them. Nothing is so concealed that it cannot be found, and if any problems arise, the support team readily assists in resolving them. EstiTrack also offers lot control and item sequencing within manufacturing, which was challenging to find in a more affordable system. Additionally, it allows for multiple approaches to accomplishing tasks, which is a fantastic feature for our manufacturing business. It enables us to tailor our processes to suit our needs. This has already proven to be immensely useful in quoting and pricing. We selected EstiTrack because it provided the most immediate benefits and some future potential. Other complex systems would have given us only 40% value right away, with hopes of utilizing the great features eventually. With EstiTrack, we knew we could immediately take advantage of 70%, streamline our current processes, reach our goals, and have room for growth.
Cons
Like any system we evaluated several before selecting EstiTrack (having used Vista/Epicor for 20 years), and while it may not meet everyone's needs entirely, it excels in most areas. We chose EstiTrack with the expectation that we would request some personalized upgrades, and they are actively collaborating with us to develop and implement those upgrades, ensuring they are beneficial, well planned, and worth the investment. As we haven't fully implemented the system yet, we haven't encountered many significant drawbacks.

The best aspect of this product is its simplicity. Although I felt overwhelmed initially, after just a few hours of training and exploring the test database set up by the Henning team, I was using the system proficiently. It assists me with my daily workload and consolidates all the necessary machine shop operations into a straightforward software solution.
Cons
So far I haven't encountered any issues but it would be beneficial to have some form of backup solution for my files. It would allow me to clear the saved information from VET and store it on a hard drive, reducing clutter in my orders and quotes.

Cons

I am the owner of Martec Precision, a small jobbing shop in Brampton, Ontario. Together with my spouse we have grown our business from 6 to 12 employees over the past 6 years. At Martec Precision, we specialize in manufacturing metal and plastic parts for the aerospace, mining, mold, and commercial industries. Currently, we are working toward obtaining ISO certification. Our motto is "Where principles count," and our work ethic is rooted in our strong values. Three years ago, we spent around 6 months evaluating various popular shop management software packages before making a decision. Prior to purchasing Henning's Visual EstiTrack ERP we were using software developed by an independent writer. While the initial software served us well during our startup phase, as our business grew, we realized the need for a more comprehensive solution that provided all the necessary documentation to achieve ISO certification. Another critical concern for us was the lack of reliable support from our previous software, which often left us frustrated and powerless. Lastly, in order to stay competitive in today's market, we aimed to streamline our operations as much as possible, and we believed that investing in an ERP software would help us achieve that goal. The research stage for software took longer than the actual implementation once we purchased Henning's Visual EstiTrack software. The support team at Henning's installed the software remotely from their office in the USA and guided us every step of the way until we were completely satisfied. The software manual was easy to follow, and after a couple of months, we felt comfortable using it. Additionally, they offer hands-on training either online or on-site. We now operate more efficiently, following a systematic approach, and have all the necessary documents to be accountable to our customers. We also purchased the "Editor's Privileges" to tailor the software documents to our business preferences and requirements. Lastly, I want to highlight the exceptional customer support we receive from the Henning's support team. Their staff is friendly and highly knowledgeable. They respond immediately to support requests, and all matters are resolved promptly. As an example I recently encountered an issue wheremy computer antivirus software was causing interference with the software. With my permission, a technician promptly resolved the problem by making the necessary adjustments. That's what I call exceptional service!
